Chef Andre Angeletti and Adrian.
J Eric H.

A wonderful Italian restaurant, perfect for a fancy night out with your wife or significant other. My wife, Adrian, is allergic to wheat gluten and the chef, Andrea Angelleti, was very accommodating in adapting his recipes to her needs. The food was outstanding and the Maitre d' and wait staff extremely helpful.

Tendido Cero was such a standout experience in South Kensington. I dined alone on a Friday night…read morewithout a reservation (my own fault), after being turned away at a few other spots. The manager here was incredibly kind and managed to seat me between reservations anyway, which I truly appreciated. Unfortunately, I didn't quite finish my meal in time before the next party arrived, but instead of rushing me, they graciously moved me to the bar so I could enjoy my dessert. What really struck me was the atmosphere. While I was sitting there, several people popped in just to say hello to the staff, which speaks volumes about how welcoming and family-esque this place feels. Hands down some of the best wait staff I've experienced. The food was fantastic. I had the ham croquettes, white wine, and churros with chocolate and having just been in Barcelona recently, I can honestly say this was the closest I've found to authentic tapas in London. I'll absolutely be back the next time I'm in London. A gem of a place with heart, hospitality, and incredible food.

A glass of wine each, lemon tart, coffee. Not cheap at £142 inc tip, but that's London for you...and I do hate paying for still water! Great atmosphere, busy, not pushy bit attentive...enjoyable evening; will not leave it so long next time. Sorry about the photos, too busy enjoying the food to remember

Finally getting out to explore our new neighborhood beyond our local, we dined at the New Moon last…read moreweekend. We loved it. It was the kind of Italian restaurant I always enjoy; authentic with house made pasta, friendly service and fresh menu that is very reasonably priced. As we were some of the early dinners, they let us choose our table. Once seated we were presented with olives and freshly made foccacia to snack on while we checked out the menu. It didn't take us long as we were both in the mood for pasta and I jump at the chance to get grilled squid whenever I see it. Shockingly, we both passed on the crab ravioli special that our server was raving about. While that sounded very good, we had no regrets with how we played it. -Fresh wild rocket with shaved parmesan and cherry tomatoes -Marinated grilled baby squid -Pappardelle con Salsiccia e Funghi-Homemade pasta with sausage, mushrooms and red onions -Tagliolini con Gamberi e Zucchine-Homemade pasta with prawns, courgettes, chilli and tomato sauce. -Tiramisu I had the pasta with sausage and it was excellent, as was my wife's prawn pasta. The tiramisu was a very good one. After settling up our inexpensive bill, we were offered comp limoncellos, grappa or sambuca. We passed, though that is a nice touch. I also got to work on my improving grasp of the Italian language with the staff and left feeling fairly confident that I could have done it all in Italian, if necessary. Pleasant service, cozy setting and a delectable menu that's well priced. We'll be back and often.

First off the food was decent however for £15 per small plate of pasta I felt underwhelmed given the price. Perhaps that's just London. The service was slow at times also perhaps typical for London. They messed up the first dessert order (soufflé) and in all it was almost half an hour until it showed up. They did offer a complimentary dessert drink but I rarely drink alcohol so it only benefited my date. I would say there are better options. -A

Overall, it was a really lovely meal, albeit with relatively slow service (considering the…read morerestaurant was fairly empty when we arrived I'm surprised it was as slow as it was). This is definitely a more modern take on classic Indian dishes than some of the other Indian food we had in London. I really enjoyed the creativity, and the food overall was excellent. The Jerusalem artichoke papdi chaat was definitely my favorite of the small plates. It uses crispy thinly sliced fried sunchokes in place of the typical fried crackers. I enjoyed the bergamot lemon chicken tikka and makhani sauce, however I thought it was a bit more mild and less impactful (flavor-wise, not just spice-wise) than similar dishes I had at other Indian restaurants in London. I still enjoyed it and thought it was tasty. I also loved the dessert I tried, which was a shahi brioche tukda tandoor pineapple. The decor was really funky with a bit of steampunk influence thrown in. This was a great option that was already in the neighborhood where we were staying. It was a nice change from the more traditional Indian menus at other restaurants. I would recommend a meal here, especially if you want to try Indian food with a more modern and unique twist, however just beware that the service can be a bit slow.
