I recently got my hair done by Alayna at Evolve. She did an awesome job on my hair when I scheduled an appointment to go red back in may. I made another appointment to redo the red after it had faded a few weeks later. She did an awesome job on the color again and I had also scheduled a haircut that same day. I showed her my inspo pics (which I will attach) and explained that I wanted bangs that I could wear in the middle or style to the side and that I wanted them wispy. During the cut I noticed in the mirror that she had just cut straight across bangs that were pretty thick and too short. I stopped her right away and tried to clarify what I was wanting. I'm thankful that she asked for her boss (Joan, who is also the owner) to help her fix them. Joan did a little bit of thinning out and had added more hair to try and fix the shape. Unfortunately it still looked pretty bad and at that point I just wanted to get their scissors away from my head. I went home that day and just tried to get used to them but I really didn't like how they turned out so I reached out to the salon. I will attach our text messages. Megan and Joan did not seem to be hearing me out in anyway shape or form and provided the worst customer service I've ever experienced. They clearly ignored that I'm unable to make it in for adjustments as I live an hour and a half away which I had stated on the phone before they texted me. I don't find it fair to offer for me to pay for another haircut (although discounted) to correct a mistake 2 of their stylists created after I paid $300 for my hair and I still tipped my initial stylist. I understand they have their policy, but I scheduled my appointment then because it was the only free time I had for the next few weeks as I had other plans and work that isn't super flexible. I'm truly disappointed in the service I received. I would have gone back for more color appointments had my concerns actually been acknowledged and made right. Sorry if the pictures are not in order! I numbered the texts and captioned the before/after & inspo pics

Beautiful space and really lovely people. I went in because I had some highlights growing out from a previous/different salon trip and it was looking streaky. Ashley was a total expert and was able to transform my mess of hair into something beautiful using balayage and a fresh trim. On my next trip in I got some "impulse bangs" and she didn't bat an eye and gave me a fabulous cut and I left feeling like a million bucks. The space is cool and chic, with a fantastic view of the mountains. Right in the same area as some great restaurants and shops out there by Ferguson Farm, so perfect opportunity to #treatyoself after getting your hair done.

I had a transformation cut with Lyndsey at Evolve to chop off my long tresses and donate them. Lyndsey had only cut my finicky hair once before but listened to what I was looking for and expertly gave me the look I was hoping for! Not only does my hair look fantastic but she cut it such that it is also low maintenance. Definitely would recommend. The space has so much natural light and provides a relaxing atmosphere as well! P.S. we both wore masks for the entire appointment. Very COVID conscious.

Where to begin.. After showing Joan my hair inspiration -- including a video of the cut and photos of the style from a couple angles (before scheduling my appointment and then again at my appointment) and explaining that the reason for my major haircut (shoulder length to a pixie) was to help conceal my androgenic alopecia hair loss... I left with a haircut that couldn't be styled how I'd asked for, was unevenly cut, and made me feel 100x worse about my thinning hair than before. When I expressed my concerns to Joan, her response was to seek out someone local to me to fix it (I live 2.5 hours away, and specifically sought her out because of her confidence to help me). I explained the unevenness and lack of volume I was able to get due to the top's excess length and was met with the blame being put on myself, and blame because of my wavy hair. I live 2.5 hours away and was told if I lived closer then she'd offer to fix it, but again: someone local to me would need to do that instead. I explained that I am so unhappy and feel like the ugliest version of myself with this haircut.. to which she replied that she "stood behind her work" and that she "hopes I can overcome my confidence issue". As someone struggling with alopecia, I found her responses to be thoughtless and hurtful. I requested a refund since she stated that she could do nothing else for me, to which she denied. Now she is not returning messages, has blocked me from contacting her, and I'm left with the worst haircut I have ever had. To say I'm distraught is an understatement. Now I have to spend more money to have someone else fix what she wouldn't. This has been the worst customer service I have ever received.

This is a very expensive salon. The quality that I received simply are not up to par with the cost of services and products in house. I made an appointment with Harmony back in the winter on this year for a trim, toner and blow out. This was the first appointment I attempted to make that was canceled. I received a polite call letting me know Harmony was sick. I rescheduled a couple days after to check my schedule. Please be advised I live in West Yellowstone, approximately 2 hours away from the salon. I chose hair theory because I liked their reviews. I book a hotel the evening before my appointment in February this year and drive to Bozeman. I check into my hotel and receive a call from the receptionist that Harmony has to cancel again. I actually went into the salon to speak to the manager. Cody took me on as her client which I was happy about. They put me I. For first thing in the morning. I brought my toner formula and everything. I noticed my toner was practically not even there when my hair was dry. This is formula for toner Redken shades 6RB 30 ml 6CB 30 ml 7C 20 ml 10-15 minutes This makes my hair a rich cherry tone which still sits naturally in my hair. My blow out was frizzy and my trim was uneven. I bought one product and left spending $200. I didn't realize how poorly my hair was taken care of until I returned to the stylist who shared this toner with me. My stylist pointed out my uneven cut and the brassy tone to my hair. Im aware hair oxidation is relevant ESPECIALLY with reds, however, the toners at this salon are simply watered down. There was a massive difference in quality that I could see. I'm not fully aware of other salons and quality out here and Bozeman but I must say the talent lacks at the cut back on quality here at those salon is far below mediocrity. Do more research than I did, I would choose another salon and I certainly should have taken the signs when I was canceled twice and should have just moved on. Theory is a theory of its own of what quality is I suppose....

I was in a situation where I couldn't see my normal person in town so I booked here out of convenience. It was much more expensive than any other place in town but I figured it would be worth it. After my appointment I noticed that many of my lashes we're going in different directions. I tried to brush them with the lash brush only to find that over 50% of my lashes were glued together and tangled. I wore them for an event and even my girlfriends noticed that they looked strange. One friend commented that it looked like I was going to get poked in the eye. Upon further inspection I realized that many of my natural lashes had begun to fall out but because of the glue situation, they were still trapped in with the other lashes. As I started to remove the dead lashes as gently as I could, clumps began to fall out. I went to my regular gal and had them removed. My natural lashes are so damaged that she recommended waiting a week or two before getting a new set. I've had last extensions for four years, done all over the country and this was a first for me. Do not go here.

Rebecca, the owner and my stylist, is truly exceptional, professional, incredibly accommodating, and always willing to work with me to find appointment times that fit my schedule. Beyond her talent, she is one of the kindest people I know, which makes every visit such a positive experience. Over the years, I've seen so many women leave the salon with stunning haircuts and color, not only from Rebecca, but from the other stylists as well. The level of skill across the salon is consistently impressive. The pricing is also very fair for the area, especially considering the quality of work and experience you receive. The salon itself is beautiful, calming, and thoughtfully designed. It's clear how much effort Rebecca has put into creating a relaxing and welcoming space over the years, it truly shows! This salon is a local favorite for a reason, so I highly recommend booking ahead, as appointments fill up quickly. I can't recommend this place enough!

I asked if the toner was extra at that point and was told yes. That would have been nice to know beforehand, especially since I booked online thinking I would be charged $150. I have never been anywhere that charged separate for toner when getting highlights. I could just have done the toning myself if I had known ahead of time. Plus, I was only there a total of two hours, so a 70 dollar charge for a service that did not extend the time of my appointment for highlights is ridiculous. I paid and left then looked over the website and saw that I didn't make an error in booking. I tried to follow up with the owner by calling and texting, as she has her contact info listed on the website. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it at the salon and wanted to discretely ask the owner because I thought I might potentially want to go back for highlights with no toner if the charge was truly accurate (the stylist I saw is newer to this salon, so wanted further confirmation they charge separate for toner). It's been 3 days since I first tried to contact the owner and still no response. I love how my hair turned out but won't be going back due to lack of responsiveness from the owner. That is even more upsetting to me than the stylist not informing me I would be paying more than what was listed on my booking. Lack of transparency and poor customer service contribute to the low rating here. Nice atmosphere in the salon though and I was happy how my hair turned out. Pretty overpriced though.
