I came to Leah with a mission in May of 2013 and as I write this in September of 2013 I cannot be more positive with the results that she has helped me to achieve. Many of the comments here are ones that I am reading after working with her and I can say that they are almost 100% accurate in describing her abilities and unique POV that she brings to the process. Rather than reiterate those comments, I see that many seem to be from women but writing this from a guy's POV I would say she brings the INTENSITY that I wanted for my time with her. She is intense in the right way. She is going to bring all her skills and knowledge and what you (or me) needs to bring is the dedication, time and effort in AND OUT of the gym. I almost literally needed to be scraped off the floor after each session which is what I wanted from her. I think if you bring 100% she will bring the same and more and that's what I really appreciated from her each week. She was on-time and never rescheduled at the last minute and I came ready for her to bring it on in every way. A constant stickler for details ( I don't know how many times I heard the word "violation" from her) i really learned a lot from Leah and hope to learn even more as I take things to the next level. My final comment would be that Leah is the trainer for the person who has decided to make a true commitment to the process. If you just want to go through the motions and put a check in the box of your "to do" list I would suggest another person. Leah does not chit chat during the training she is "working" and that's what you are paying for with her.Take advantage of her knowledge and insights and if you put the work in on YOUR side you will succeed with your goals. read more

I'm so glad I took the plunge and committed to working out with Leah. About a year ago I had a nasty accident involving platform heels, a bit too much alcohol, and an uneven dance floor platform - not a good mix! I really tore up my ankle. 2 months, then 3 months, then 4 months later, it still twinged when I walked, and brought tears to my eyes when I tried to run on it. I started working with Leah this past January, and I explained my ankle issues to her, thinking it would limit my ability to do certain exercises. She started me on mobility exercises to strengthen the muscles and loosen the joints, and slowly but surely, my ankle recovered. That much-needed mobility conditioning combined with strength training helped me to get back into running, and to push myself further than I would have alone. She definitely pushes you, but is always on the look-out for signs that you're at your limit, and is cognizant of any overly-stressed areas that might need a little rest. She keeps the workouts varied and challenging, with new exercises and techniques thrown in often, tailoring the workouts to your personal goals. My personal goal was to run a half-marathon without injuring myself, and after years of attempts and running injuries, I finally did, with her help! read more

The first time I met Leah was at a CrossFit workout that she taught. She had everybody warm up with front squats with PVC pipes so we can focus on adjusting and honing our techniques, and when she got to me, she pointed out that I had this over arch in my back and I wasn't engaging my core enough, which could be super dangerous once I actually started lifting heavier weights. Now a lot of trainers would show you the correct technique, once or twice, and maybe tap you on the abs a few times to remind you, but Leah doesn't just stop there. She literally followed me around and bugged me to "watch your core, check your rib cage, check your back" the ENTIRE CLASS haha -- during front squats, pull-ups, and even while I was just standing on the sidelines, trying to catch my breath and take a sip from my water bottle! At one point, we were doing a run and I swear, it felt like she popped out from the bushes, just to jog beside me and tell me to engage my core lol Her being a stickler for form may seem really intense at first, but believe me, if you are serious about getting in shape and building real strength, all the while staying healthy and injury-free, you will thank her for being the way she is. I've done years of sports and martial arts, and I can say I've never seen myself get stronger this fast and stay this injured-free, as I have while training with Leah. She's filled with incredible knowledge, carries a contagious enthusiasm, and possesses a natural knack for motivating people to always progress forward. Hit her up and start training! read more

I've been working out with Leah consistently, pretty much every week for over a year. When I first started I could barely do a pull up. didn't know how to squat and had no muscle tone since I hadn't really worked out for a few years. I am now feeling stronger than when I did when I was in my 20's. I'm now in my 40's. She is methodical about how she approaches working with her clients and is extremely knowledgeable about the body and how it moves. She can tweek the slightest movement and I can feel the difference right away. I had never worked out with a personal trainer before and only had gone to a gym or took classes. I'm grateful for the way she pushes me to challenge myself and I always feel amazing afterward. I wouldn't do that on my own. I feel like she gets me and what my goals were in regards to physical fitness. More than I realized what I needed myself. I highly recommend working with her. read more

Why can't six stars be an option for Leah? But seriously she goes above and beyond to help her clients out, so she deserves a score above and beyond what is given here. I met Leah accidentally in one of her group classes, right from the start she was making me do all these basic workouts which I felt I've mastered over the years; push ups, sit ups, pull ups, and squats. During my workout she helped me, like apparently no one else in my life has, she was aiding my movements. The placement of my hands, elbows, and everything! With each of her modifications she was kind and caring about everything. It made me instantly trust her as a coach. I feel like that's a rare trait nowadays. Because of her I can do everything better, stronger and faster just like Daft Punk would have wanted. I've lost 10% body fat in the 2 months I've worked out with her if that's not proof I don't know what is. She is a jack of all trades and an exceptional coach. Leah of Evolve Performance is ridiculous! I am a trainer myself and I have learned so much from her. Her mobility skills are top notch. I also watch how she trains her clients and it nothing but 5 star service. Leah takes her time to make sure form is everything. I would trust Leah to train my own mom and that says a lot. I look forward to learning more from her. Leah loves what she does and it shows. She is constantly learning and applying. She is a great person to train with. I must say, after training with Leah for about 6 months, I cannot say enough about how amazing it has been. I started with her with very limited upper body strength and moderate mobility. I am now noticeably stronger and am much more flexible. I also found that I enjoy the weight training classes she teaches along with the mobility training that she is so good at. When I first met Leah at a class, I was like, "who is this spunky trainer?!?!" She was very in tune with the body and what needed to be worked on for each person in the class. We focused on mobility in the warm-up and that was amazing, it really made the muscles loosen up before we put them through the ringer and did wonders for my flexibility as previously mentioned. Then, our day would vary, but my favorites were the weight training days. At first, when she told us we would be working with weights, I was like, "No way, I do not want to bulk up." But the weights really helped me tone and tighten my muscles. With her watchful eye and precise trainings, I was surprising even myself! Who would have thought I could get a weighted bar up and over my head! Not me, that's for sure! Plus, my fiance had a herniated disk before we started with Leah for about 3 years and with her help, he was able to do deeper squats and even dead-lift! Which is saying a lot considering when we started, he could barley squat and even lifting was painful. He was getting more flexible and being able to try weights, which was something I know he was thrilled about. Over all, I must say I am thoroughly impressed with Leah's knowledge of the body, mobility, weights and all aspects of training. She has been amazing and attentive. I wish that my fiance and I did not have to move, we found a gym and a trainer we loved. We now have a trainer to compare all the others to. read more

I work out all of the time and for years, so when I decided to do a session with Leah I was like what is she going to teach me that I don't already know, boy was I surprised. She showed me how to fine tune my workout and different exercises to help me develop parts of my body that I wanted to get bigger. Amazing is an understatement.
