Very terrible services provided; Escrow opened by Shannon Packard yesterday, they forgot to send my buyers any wiring instruction over 24 hours until my buyer to call me. I picked up the phone to call them, their few staffs (Paola Avila and the other very rude lady) started to give me running around and arguing with me for everything, I could not open their file from desktop neither my iphone, they complaint that I am the only person in the world not able to open their files, they tried to educate me not even know my last 10-year career was java script programmer!! After 10 minutes on the phone by following their stupid directions and failed to open their file, the very rude lady even asked to drive down to their office to pick up wiring instruction, can you believe that! We did business with exact escrow to sell our home in La Verne. Paola and Shannon where who I had the most contact with and we're very helpful and dedicated to make this transaction go smoothly. We had some hiccups along the way due to a lien that a financing company put on our home for solar panels and really had the potential to mess up everything . Shannon and Paola took the time out to call and get this company in check. It was a lot of information and concepts to learn since we were buying and selling at the same time, so I wish there was more time to explain the process even when I showed I was a little lost so that I wasn't so anxious during the sale. I've used this escrow eompany many times over the years and they've always been awesome, they're super knowledgable and very resonable compared to other small escrow companies. I was the buyer on the transaction. Communication was great and the process was smooth. We closed exactly on the day we were supposed too! I was especially thankful for Shannon's walk though of all the documents we signed. She walked me though every document with enthusiasm and gave me a free pen with a light on top of it I use now to blind all my co-workers, hehehe. If I could give this Escrow company a 0 i would. They elongated our escrow process way longer than they should have all because of their mistakes. What was more frustrating is that they never took accountability, made excuses and worst of all never disclosed anything to us. I consistently had to call them for updates. I got all my information from our realtors and loan agent. inclusively our loan guy told us he had never seen such terrible service from an escrow company in the 20 years he has been in the business. They are all extremely nice but they are terrible when it comes to their job. We only worked with Shannon. From the get go she knew of our situation yet decided to file for paperwork proof 3 days before escrow was going to close (and the process takes on average 21 days to receive the paperwork I know because I called, the company was even shocked that they had not done it sooner since they know the turn around time). Secondly, when they finally received proof they did not contact us. Lastly, when they were finally able to draw up the loan documents they messed up because they did not understand the situation! we drove 45 minutes to go sign the documents, waited 3 hours only to get a call from our loan guy stating that they had messed up and would have to wait yet another day to sign new documents. What should have taken 21 days to close dragged out to almost 2 months. We even lost our low interest rate and rebate because of their incompetence. read more
