Our home had significant flood damage. As a result, we decided to meet with three contractors who could help us assess the impact and advise on the next steps regarding insurance. The first two told us the same thing. They explained that while the damage looked and felt significant, not insane. And the company would never agree to pay enough to hit our very high deductible. So they said that taking our job would be a waste of their time and ours. Because of this, we were pessimistic when conversing with the third contractor, Eyal, from Excel Construction LA. Distributing, or using tubes, was different from the first two companies. However, after he assessed the damage, he told us he would help us get the coverage we deserved. He helped us negotiate with the insurance company until they rightly agreed to cover more than double our deductible, which paid for everything that we needed to do to get our home to shine as it did before the flood. We were thrilled! We began the work and were ready to close this otherwise traumatic chapter of our lives... but we flooded again at the start of February. And this time, it was worse. Insurance refused to play ball, but Eyal helped us work with them until we got what we deserved. It took a lot of patience as this process lasted a few months, but Eyal never let us give up. If I could give 6 stars I would. From the beginning the communication was on point. Nally was able to get someone to come out the same day which was awesome. David showed up on time and was super pleasant and very knowledgeable. I told him what the problem was and he was able to diagnose it in seconds once he heard the noise. He shared with me that it was my capacitor and that it wasn't applying enough power to kick start my fan and the compressor or condenser at the same time not sure but I know it was one of those. I had recently just got that repaired by another technician and didn't understand why I would be having problems so soon. David quickly explained to me that unfortunately the guy installed a used one. He also took the time to show me the rust on the contact points as well the label being scratched off and that this capacitor did not have enough charge to run my system correctly which was causing the sound, so I had David install a new one. When he brought the part in he showed me what it was suppose to look like and walked me through how it was supposed to be installed. Once David took off the other one he noticed that the previous repairman did not install it correctly which could of fried my system. David also took the time to explain to me how the hvac system worked and patiently answered all of my questions which I truly appreciated. He was also very honest about the state of my AC unit and gave me some great advice and insight on what I should do next. Overall a very pleasant experience and would 100% use them again. I also got a follow up call from nally about an hour after David had left to ensure the work was up to my expectations which I loved. We engaged Excel Construction to remodel one of our bathrooms. Our house is 65 years old and so it is not unusual that once construction begins that unforeseen issues can develop. Excel provided a bid for the job with Ziv utilizing technology with the ability to provide a very realistic picture of what the final project would look like. This included examples of tile, paint color and etc. The presentation was very well done. Once the project began there were minor issues identified. Those issues were fully discussed and Excel personnel (Joyce and Ziv provided valuable solutions in a very timely basis. There were a few delays during construction due to our need to order a vanity and other fixtures that took longer than either of us anticipated. Also the timeline was extended due to our previously scheduled vacation plans. Excel was very responsive to these delays and was very accommodating to adjusting their workers schedule. One significant participant (Audel) did a fantastic job from start to finish. He was very punctual in his arrival every day and he always alerted us as to issues as they arose. The supervisor (NIck) had an eagle eye on the project noting small items that he wanted additional work done to improve the overall quality of the finished project. On the final inspection he was present performing all the cleanup and trash removal necessary for the project completion. read more

Its been couple of years since we moved to our first house and the only area in the house we didn't remodel was the Guest bathroom. I decided to do some research and scheduled with 3 home improvement companies from the valley. I found Excel Construction L.A on Yelp and decided to give it a try because I saw some good reviews on their page. I was able to schedule a meeting for the next day and met with Nofar. Needless to say, she was professional and had the patience to explain every stage of the work that needed to be done. Their prices are decent, not the most expensive on the market and not the cheapest (that's the secret for hiring a contractor, you need to choose the one that gives you the median price). We were rather unprepared for the difficulties in overhauling a kitchen after a leaky roof necessitated it. Adding in an unresponsive insurance agent, and the trials and tribulations of COVID, and this could have been a harrowing experience. Thankfully the team at Excel took care of us every step of the way. Eyal and especially the day-to-day lead Audel were excellent communicators and the workmanship was top notch. The team made us feel comfortable with all the precautions taken due to the COVID epidemic, which was especially important as both my wife and I were working from home during the entire process. This is the first of two projects that Excel Construction is doing for my wife and I. We had both the interior and exterior of our house painted and couldn't be more happy with the results. Sebastián, one of the owners, was part of our project the entire time and he is a genuine guy. He's honest, trustworthy, and most importantly ON TIME! The same went for the people who worked for him. Save yourself the headache. This company is rediculous. I had a garage conversion. It took them 6 months to complete in which they said it would be 4. The owner is rude and arrogant. He decided he would do the kitchen design the way he wanted to instead of going with the original plans in which I didn't agree. Then they decided to reply to my review almost 2 months later with a lie. I never told them I was satisfied with the completion. They were paid all monies from the overage budget. Their worker's were coming out maybe twice a week and would basically stay for a couple of hours. A friend referred Excel Construction L.A. to me to inspect my condo's air conditioning system and install new Nest thermostat. She said they provide excellent service. And she was right. The office coordinator Sarit was well organized to set the appointment, their technician Dionesio was on time, pleasant, knowledgeable, patient and helpful. I have also received a follow up call from Sarit within 30 minutes after the technician left making sure the installation went well and if there is anything else I need.
