Very friendly staff. I'm finally getting answers to my pain that I can live with and function again.

I went to my first appt and they explained the treatment of neck ablation's would start with two test injections then the actual treatment. when I showed up for the first test injections they spent 3 minutes in the room with me and did a completely different course of injections with zero explanation. I want to note this was against my neurosurgeons plan to avoid surgery. read more

Injection that really works. Not cheap stuff and charge you for it I ask for a cortisone shot..they gave me one that started with a h.. cheap stuff. I don't recommend them because they always change what they charge. I went in for a procedure today and I've only paid $48 for it the last 3 times, and now they want $150. My insurance hasn't changed. It's not a new year to change the about insurance requires. They didn't bother to call me and tell me it was going to be triple the normal amount. So when I showed up for my appointment I had to scrambled to pay $150!!! They have records of the other charges and all they could say is they think the person that checked me in didn't know what they were doing is their best guess. I've been a long term patient here for many years and I'm going to Dr Websters office now that charges CONSIDERABLY LESS for the regular appointments AND the procedures. His office staff is significantly more competent, and I get informed what the fees are before my appointment, and he does a fantastic job. read more

I recently had an experience whereby my appointment was Monday and my prescription would be sent and filled Thursday. When I realized I never got a notification from my pharmacy and that I confirmed all the prescriptions they received that week, I couldn't get through to them. I left a detailed message with my name, DOB and a phone number. When they didn't respond I called and had to leave another message telling them that the pharmacy did not get my prescription. They called me back to argue that they sent it instead of checking with the pharmacy that they received it. I had to call the pharmacy to confirm that they didn't receive it and then email them AGAIN. You should not have to argue with your caregiver when you inform them that the pharmacy never received the prescription. read more

I have now been treated by Excel Pain and Spine for just over a year now. I was diagnosised with spinal degeneration in 2008. I had failed cervical surgery in 2010 and failed lumbar surgery in 2016. While it is needed, I do not wish to repeat either surgery. Excel has provided me with non surgical approaches towards managing my pain. I appreciate the slower, more cautious approach they have taken. The doctors and staff at the Wesley Chapel office are top notch, amazing and caring. I wish I had found them sooner. If you are looking for a pain management facility, this is the place to try. I highly recommend them. read more

I was very please with my experience at Doctor Patel and Dr. Shah's office and staff, they treated me (for almost a year) with care, respect, compassion. They don't waist your time, they are very knowledgeable, and explain procedures and treatments easy to understand. They also called and checked on the patient the following day after a procedure. They are always on top of things! They made me feel that I was in good hands. It was good to be treated with professionalism and care by an ethical team. A big thank you to all of them. read more

The staff was unprofessional, couldn't remember to send out the appointment notification. Don't answer the phone 80% of the time. And ultimately, I was in pain, after my 3rd visit when they gave me an injection that didn't work, they scheduled me for a epidural pain relief procedure and I showed up on that date only for them to tell me they made a mistake, the doctor is not in today so they just want to do a post opt for the pain relieving injection that didn't work. I of course was very upset and disappointed they have wasted my time again and walk away. However they did not fail to bill me for service they did not provide and didn't consider my time being wasted and that equals money that I'll never get back. The insurance companies should investigate this pain doctors office and people should stay away; they only care about making money and not relieving the customers of pain. read more

I was a patient at Excel Pain and Spine, I am going to share my personal opinion and experience with you. I would rate it zero stars, but they don't have that option. I have chronic lower back pain back and was treated with radio frequency ablation. Before you get the actual ablation you have to go through two rounds of test shots. Both rounds of test shots gave me 100% pain relief. Before the test shots they shoot you up with Lidocaine, and plenty of it. When I left there I felt fantastic, no pain at all. They said it would last 6 - 8 hours which it did. It took many weeks to complete these test shots since you have to wait two weeks and go back and tell them how it went and pay an office visit when you could have just called them on the phone and said," yeah it went well". They did the test shots on both sides of my back at the same time but the actual ablation they only do one side at a time. They shoot you up with Lidocaine again, and after the procedure I felt 100% relief for the exactly the same 6 - 8 hours. Then the pain came back just like the test shots. When you do the ablation, they tell you it takes 3 - 4 weeks to reach the maximum pain relief, after that it won't get any better. All my pain is on the left side, that's where I had the ablation done first and after a month the pain was the same, it never got better. The only common denominator between the test shots and the ablation is the Lidocaine. I don't believe I had any pain relief from anything but the Lidocaine, period. Now this is my experience and my opinion only, yours may be different. I was born at night but not last night so I decided to cancel my appointments with Excel Pain and Spine and will not go back to them since this procedure was worthless to me, took forever and a lot of office co-pays. My opinion about pain management centers is that it's a gimmick. They know you're in pain and can't get any pain medicine because nobody will give you any. They lure you in with high hopes of relief and always leave themselves an out by saying everybody's different so there's no way to tell. After the left side showed no signs of relief I decided to stay away from Excel Pain and Spine. read more

Have lived with chronic pain for the past 2 and a half decades and have had some not so great experiences with pain management doctors, but Excel pain and spine doctor treated me with kindness and understanding. I felt like I was more than just another patient and the doctor took the time to listen to me and my concerns. Would recommend to any family, friends, and neighbors. Five stars read more
