My review has not changed. They cost me a $130 copay for a ER visit after failing to call in my pain medication on a Friday. I had a knee replacement and was without meds the entire weekend. They never apologized and only gave me excuses as to why the med never got sent to the pharmacy. They sure didn't forget to charge me the $45 copay. They never offered a refund on that either. The office manager is rude and so are the office staff. They can't keep office staff past a few weeks. High turn over rate because they are rude and incompetent. The billing specialist is no better than the rest of the crew. She never followed up after I called and explained my situation and sent the necessary information in an email. RUN, don't walk to another pain management facility. read more

Don't waste your time with Band-Aids! Go see a neurologist a real neurologist. Not only do all of their offices have staff that is incompetent, they advertise at a specific doctor is on location when he is not! I'm due a refund check for $45! I have requested it 11 times and even gone to corporate. Someone from corporate promised me my check within 7 days, still waiting. I have now filed a complaint with the American medical association and I recorded a phone call where Tammy Jo literally literally lied to me and then tried to blame it on my aid. Record every phone call you have with this office! And do yourselves a favor, don't go to these"Centers", they are a revolving door of various doctors who never stay in one location. They get you dependent on the nerve cauterization, which actually is a detriment to you in the long run. Speaking of running, run away from any of these centers as fast as you can. See your primary physician and then asked to see a qualified, keyword... Qualified neurologist! Don't waste your time. DO NOT GO! They will treat you like a number in the waiting room. The providers are condescending and talk down to their patients. If your Dr. refers you, ask for another provider. The care they provide is like no care at all. DANGEROUS and they don't take their patients concerns seriously. Dr's are hands off & have techs answering hard questions for them, this is NOT their job. If you send a msg, they will not answer them unless you call daily and then say, "Go to the ED". The worst, unfortunately you have to give one star to do a review they really deserve a negative 5. My appointment was for 8:25 I sat in the front waiting room until 10:00 (and that was only remedied by complaining) before I was taken back to the little curtains prep area where I waited until until 10:40 when they took me back for the procedure . when I first started going there I really thought this guy was going to help me my first appointment was great told me everything I wanted to hear.spent over an hour with me but of course after first couple appointments got switched to his PA then you can't see the Dr anymore you go to appointments after appointment and it's just med refill over and over they don't even look for any changes or anything just in and out here is your meds goodbye.i asked on my last appointment could i see the actual dr and was told no . 1 star is too high. Extremely poor customer service and follow up. The doctor may be good but the support system is very poor. Do not send in scripts in a timely manner after my initial visit and could never get in touch via phone with them...no answer and mailbox full. No call backs. Due to no answer on the phone, insurance denied a very necessary procedure twice because they couldn't get ahold of anyone in the office. I've been a patient for about 3 years now. I have had nothing but good experiences with the doctors with my procedures. Administration wise they're absolutely horrible. I had to cancel a procedure and was told they would call me back to reschedule and they never did. I've been trying to get it rescheduled since. I tried to talk to the office manager and after waiting all day I stepped outside without my phone and misses what I assumed was that call. I called back immediately and of course couldn't talk to this person and was told that they would leave another message for her and I've not been called back. I was refused treatment. My neurosurgeon recommended I get an Epidural Steroid Injection for my lumber spine. I went to see the folks at Florida Pain Medicine. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) who I saw in the office disputed that I needed this procedure base on my pain level. I mentioned that my neurosurgeon made reference to the inflammation around my problem areas (L4 - 5) were I have grade 1 anterolisthesis and sever spinal canal stenosis. The NP said I do not have inflammation and they only treat for pain. She also said the neurosurgeon only wanted me to have the ESI in case of pain from the PT yet the neurosurgeon did not connect the two in his written report. The NP also said in my chart that I didn't "check out" when I left her office. Well I paid my co-payment, filled out all the paper work and they refused treatment so what else is there? read more

They charge you as soon as you walk in the door for a drug test and your copay. Total $110.00 $60 copay and $50 for a drug test. Was told I would see a doctor it was a PA. They tell u before they issue pain med you need to talk to a psychologist, 5 days later and another $60. Then you have to schedule another appointment to find out what they will give you. They wanted to give me shots and Nothing for the pain at that time. I have been on pain medicine since 1993 and grateful for the shots but sometimes the shots don't work right away or u need a few. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!!! I have a very extensive medical history in chronic pelvic pain. He was treating me but i told him several times the pain meds wasn't working as i had been on them since 14. He didnt listen but yet had his staff schedule my for nerve block procedure without re-evaluating my meds. Well i went into a flare up n went by the doctors office after he never returned my call i told them i was n alot of pain they told me to wait after i sat there for hrs they told me he left. So when I left i seen him leaving from the back parking. He called me later that night n i told him i was n alot of pain he said GO TO THE HOSPITAL I responded they are going to tell me to follow up with you your my treating dr.. he says very rudely "WELL IM NOT GOING TO GIVE U ANY OTHER PAIN MEDS" i was disgusted i told him I never implied i wanted pain meds u could have prescribed me lyrica for nerve damage ibuprofen for inflammation or even gabapentine but bc im BLACK u assume i want pain meds meanwhile you have heavy addicts that staggering into ur office. This doctor stereotype his patients based on their skin color meanwhile he is the reason there is an opioid crisis. He also likes to refer his patients to his other friend doctors for kickbacks. I have been a patient of Zephyrhills Florida Pain Medicine for over 6 years now. I am 73 years old and suffering from Cancer related pain due to my chronic disease of 15 years. I was originally referred to Dr. Bhalani but was quickly passed off to other doctors when only scripts were needed for care. I do not smoke, drink alcohol or use other illegal drugs. However their random urine drug tests say I have broken their care agreement. I have never felt so degraded and unjustly accused when they discharged me without investigation or repeat testing. I was given another 30 day supply of meds and told to find another pain medicine provider. Wow! Dropped on the head! Shame on you Dr. Jonathan Stone and your assistant Arusha Heyat Jacot! I left the Spring Hill office humiliated today. I was accused of abusing there staff. I found myself in a situation where I was vulnerable that I couldn't defend mysel. Let me start from the beginning. I have attempted to get pain management, my first visit was with my husband who suffers from debilitating back pain we saw Doctor Hassan. He was compassionate and caring to both of us. He took way too much time with all his patients.... He was making a real effort with us. I was grateful for the shot in my knee. I did not appreciate the long wait but his compassion was so welcome. He ordered a MRI of my back and knee. Today I woke up really stressed...I have had a week where everything that could go wrong did. The results of my back MRI pointed to a different kind of possible medical problem, that I have taking up with my MD. Yesterday, I received a call that they wanted to cancel my appointment. I explained I did followed up. Today I went to the office., I was in pain. The nurse took my blood pressure and wanted to go over my meds. I wanted to report about the first change in my meds in 30 years I attempted to tell her, I did not know the generic names of my names. She reprimanded me, told me she needed a new list every month. I said I could do that if I knew. She was obviously more than annoyed with me. I was in fact having the worse day I have had in years. She asked me if I took painkillers today. I told her I don't have any, they never prescribed or gave me any and for the most part I don't need them. But I did talk to their psychologist. When the NP Jennifer Montressor came in and again I was reprimanded for what she called lighting into the nurse. I said I did no such thing. She got up and said I am discharging you, we are the wrong fit. Mind you through this whole thing I could not hold back tears. Now my husband does not want to go back. I am sure my insurance company will be billed. No one asked what my problems was. I definitely felt these people are very thin skinned, they don't care, I was just about chased out of the office. I am very confused and would not recommend the Spring Hill office. I still can't figure out how it became about them. read more

Typical corporate practice. I got charged $350, never saw a doctor, and was fed a bunch of BS by a nurse practitioner. Since I didn't have insurance and therefore could not afford their expensive 2-3 month duration injections or nerve stimulators she said the doctor couldn't do anything. My medical needs were not addressed because the doctor "didn't want to feel like a drug dealer"....their words. I left without accomplishing anything and was prescribed no meds or even any changes to my current meds. I would not go here for chronic pain medical management unless you're ready to fork out loads of cash. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Bhalani's for over 11 years now, But within the last 4-6 months getting my meds has become a problem. They hired another Doctor to sign Rx for pain meds but it seems that the End of Day is easier while previous years I was able to pick up my meds on my way home from office making it easier on me. If I have a 9:00 am appt I don't get my meds until after 3,4 or 5 pm. I kept going because I Trusted them, but now my trust is being taxed. It might be time to seek out a more Reliable Pain Management. I'm 80 years old and find it extremely difficult dealing with their NEW ARRANGEMENTS. read more

Administration has placed me into mailboxes which are full, straight to voicemail during business hours, a week for a callback, several transfers and this was to make a simple appointment. Medical 'care' experience DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR ANY TYPE OF PATIENT CARE! (This review is for the office staff & not any physicians or medical personnel) After making 3 new patient appointments (2 of which they cancelled without offering to reschedule) we arrived 18 minutes early for the third attempt to see a doctor. We were told our appointment was going to be rescheduled because they needed us to be 1 hour early to fill-out their paperwork. Normally that's understandable, I am aware new patient appointments are mor time consuming. However, I was holding a completed stack of paperwork they required (all 30+pages they required, his complete medical history including surgical/procedural events, and all prior primary care physician's records). They cancelled our appointment even though we were 18 minutes prior to his appointment time. The front office staff argued with me about my husband being seen and required him to reschedule. The front office staff needed a full 30 minutes to input the information into the computer. Am not sure why it takes 30 minutes to input data from the paperwork he had since all other offices simply scan to file all paperwork and records we give to them. They could not explain the required additional 30 minutes early either. This office is working on antiquated procedures, are rude in how they greet and treat their patients, and inept in understanding why/how their actions are potentially harmful to their patients. My husband requires oxygen and cannot be without it for the entire time it takes for the office staff to do their job plus the time we are actually seen by the physician. At no time did any of this enter into the discussion because they were refusing my spouse to be seen by the doctor. There was no opportunity to tell the office personnel about his need to be on his oxygen & maintain a specific O2 percent. They wanted to make sure we understood they hold all the power and the patient had no rights as far as they were concerned. If this is how patients are treated by the inept office staff I am not confident the actual medical care given by the providers would be any better. My advice is DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR ANY CARE!!! Save your money, sanity and most of all know your rights as a patient. read more

Every time I go to this clinic I have problems with scheduling. I am typical given an appointment time and then it changes multiple times. Today I arrived at the clinic for an injection procedure. My original appointment time given was 2:00 . I received a text message saying it was at 8:45 . The girl at the desk told me I missed my 9:15 appointment. I explained the issue and they said they would give me the 2:30 slot and I said great thanks. I then went back to the room and mg blood pressure check was too high for the procedure. The woman said let's give it a few minutes to come down and we will recheck it. I was then left alone in the room for one hour . I opened the door and the same employee saw me still sitting in the room but said nothing to me. The dr walked by said hello and kept walking. I went to the front counter and told the ladies at the counter that I could not wait any longer because my ride had already waited for an hour and a half . My wife informed me that while I was in the back several patients left complaining about their wait times and service. I totally understand having to wait for a lower blood pressure check but not coming back in the room for an hour is unexceptionable. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Bahalani for about 6-8 mo., for back pain. A couple weeks ago i got out of bed and had extreme pain in my back, much worse than before. I called the office and got voicemail (during working hours). I left a message that i was in Excruciating pain And to please call me. Never heard back. After a few weeks I called and asked for the office manager to lodge my complaint . When transferred I got the message that her phone in box was full! I guess that I should not have been surprised. I wish I headed the poor reviews prior to taking my mother here. Please don't make the same mistake I made. This doctor came highly recommended by the physicians I work with and despite the bad reviews I still took my mom. Long story short, 3 months later and she still has not received any care. Her appointments despite being made a month in advance were cancelled the day before or day of because authorization was not obtained from the insurance in time. I had to go back and forth between the insurance and pain management office trying to coordinate and it was truly a nightmare. As a primary care provider myself, I have an idea of what to expect with this process and truly Dr. Bhalanis office dropped the ball each time without even a follow up to reschedule. Awful experience overall and I made sure to let my moms neurosurgeon know to avoid recommending this place. The doctor may be good but office staff can make or break a practice and they are certainly breaking it in this case. read more

I ***LOVE*** Dr. Epting and Dr. Thomas, but the office staff is what is running patients off. You can never get to the same person twice, you have to leave MULTIPLE messages, and random people return your calls but really have no clue as to why you called in the first place (despite detailed messages). The Carrollwood office is an exception because Alliyah is AWESOME!! I wish everyone at each location could be as friendly and helpful as she is. She is easy to get a hold of (once she gives you her direct extension) and is EXTREMELY pleasant. Great docs, meh customer service from the office staff. read more

My cervical spine has gone through a lot of trauma and surgery before going to Florida Pain Medicine. Dr. JASSAL has taken me from a place of being in pain all day and night with no activity to managed pain with managed activity. Here are the top three things that I appreciate about Dr. Jassal: 1) he CARES and listens; 2) changes up the medication until the patient is comfortable; 3) doesn't over prescribe narcotics - he is all about the patient's overall health. As the saying goes "the proof is in the pudding" I live in Miramar Beach, which is in the panhandle of Florida, and my wife drives me 7 hours each way to see Dr. Jassal. The reason we are willing to drive so far every three months is because we have so much confidence in his care for me. In summary, I would recommend Dr. Jassal to my closest family member and YOU!!! I had an awful experience at Florida Pain Medicine with Dr. Bhalani yesterday during my first (and subsequently last) appointment. I arrived at 8:45 for an 8:50 appointment. To be fair, I was asked to arrive 30 minutes early for my first appointment, but due to accidents along Highway 60 and I-75 (which was down to one lane), my drive was almost two hours long instead of the typical 45 minutes. I still arrived before my appointment, and I showed up having already printed off and completed all new patient paperwork. At 9:10 I asked the front desk how long the wait would be. She informed me that Dr. Bhalani had another new-patient appointment and a follow-up appointment to see before me, and also let me know that most new-patient appointments take an hour. I was surprised, since my appointment was for 8:50 but it sounded like I wouldn't be seen until after 10:00. I asked the front desk personnel if she could confirm this thought, to which she repeated herself, "most new-patient appointments take an hour, and he also has a follow-up to see." I asked again to confirm if that meant I wouldn't be seen until after 10:00, and she, once again, repeated herself. Annoyed, I said, "Yes, I understand, I'm just asking for some clarification about timing. Will I be seen after 10?" She rolled her eyes, smirked at the other woman sitting next to her, and said "Yes. That's what that means." I was frustrated by her attitude and by that news. As I said, I had sat in a car for almost two hours at this point and was now looking at sitting in the office's uncomfortable waiting room chairs for an hour and a half. I was a bit rash in my reaction and posted on their facebook wall that a patient should not have to wait an hour and a half when the clinic will cancel appointments that are later than 15 minutes. This felt disrespectful to me since the doctor's time is to be respected with the 15-minute rule, but patients' times are not. I could have waited to see if the hour and a half was accurate, but I didn't. I'll admit that was my fault. I should try to save reactions for when I'm not in so much pain. Luckily, I did not wait that long to be seen. I was taken back by a young woman who was very pleasant, who helped get my information into the system and asked the usual first patient questions. I was then seen by Dr. Bryan Thomas, a fellow who is working with Dr. Bhalani. Bryan was very friendly, and I was starting to feel much better about the visit thanks to his welcoming attitude and openness about things I could do to improve my pain. I thought to myself, "You shouldn't react so quickly - you should delete the post." I didn't get a chance to yet at that moment. Shortly after, Dr. Bhalani entered the room and spoke quickly about my options. After he went through those, which I was pleased with, his tone became even more dire. "There's one more thing," he said. "When you lie on our facebook page, it begins our relationship in a bad way. You're making it so I can't trust you as a patient." I was surprised that he had seen the post, as I hadn't posted it very long ago, and because I was told that he was incredibly busy seeing patients. He continued to lecture me and talk down to me, repeating what he had already said as though I was an idiot. I have never been spoken to by another doctor in such a patronizing, condescending tone. I was completely flabbergasted and trying to hold back tears, as he continued to lecture and tell me how I had ruined his ability to trust me. I tried to get in a few words and finally said, "It also doesn't make a great first impression when you're running so far behind on a first appointment. I was told that I wouldn't see you until after 10:00." He chuckled with even more condescension in his tone and cited the exact times that I was seen by each person, telling me that those were excellent times. I don't disagree - I was pleased with the actual times I was ended up seeing. I was not pleased with the attitude of the front desk, or how I was told I wouldn't be seen until after 10:00, or with the way that I was treated by the doctor himself. As I sat there, crying due to the way I was being treated, he informed me that his social network management will be flagging my comment for removal due to inaccurate information, or said that I can "do the right thing" and delete it. I assured him that I would update the review so that the information was accurate, which is why I am writing this saga... I have included completely accurate information here. I have honestly not felt so chastised, shamed, or spoken down to in any of my adult years as I did yesterday from Dr. Bhalani. He feels that I would be better served by a doctor whose trust I have not destroyed prior to meeting him, and I couldn't agree more due to his attitude. read more

But I have to warn people reading this- the office staff is perhaps the worst I've even run across in all my years. Not rude per se, but just going through the motions. I realize they are extremely busy and have complaining patients in pain all day long, but a smile and a kind word goes a long way. These people are glum and act like they just attended a funeral. It's obvious they do not like their jobs. Perplexing, since the professionals there were all very engaging. Hope you can figure out what's going on there Doc. I have been seeing Dr. Patel for almost 2 years now he is the most caring and compassionate Dr I know and he cares for his patients well being. I say that because when my Ins recently wasn't going to approve my RFA, because it actually helped me for a whole year, between that my injections, doing yoga and now having my medical cannabis card instead of being on Opiates makes a huge difference. He actually fought for me to have My second RFA instead of starting with the injections again, AMAZING, CARING, KIND, COMPASSIONATE!! This is how I describe Dr. Patel!! read more

Worst phone system and phone customer service on earth! I love my Dr. but making an appt. with him is like Chinese water torture! Whoever owns this practice cares too little about their patients and is too cheap to buy a phone system that actually works so that patients can be seen. They are killing their practice. Getting Nowhere for years Trying all being offered in Boston I saw Dr. Jassal, he looked over my records Stayed with the Plan I was on till he realized it wasn't working Spoke to me about a Procedure,I was against He said ok, He didn't push he just asked me to take the Literature home and look into it, I did as he asked & decided to go for it, I cannot Thank Dr. Jassal for his Patient's with Me, Thankfully he Never gave up on me which he could have, He is Kind, he is very Knowledgeable and is Very Caring, Dr.Jassal Truly wants to help you, Always greets you by Name with a Smile, I Never felt Rushed, The office is Clean,Staff is always pleasant Dr.Jassal has given me back More than I thought was Possible I'd give 10 Star's Cause Drs. I love this practice they really are amazing! There are no better doctors anywhere! I have been coming here for about 5 years and I love the entire staff. I can always reach there office with questions and to make appointments which is important to me. I'm 30 years old and suffer from serious lower back problems and have felt with them for most of my adult life and thanks to Florida Pain Management I'm able to function day to day. The doctors are wonderful but, the office staff definitely needs work. Have had trouble many times getting appointments within 30 days for medication refills and either no response to messages I've left, or maybe get a call days later after leaving 2 or 3 messages.
