I just had to be there and relax and rest, and I love every one of those nurses they just had such great personality and they sincerely cared from the bottom of their heart. I wanted to pack them up and take them back home with me to I certainly will be back to visit them because they became like a family to me. They were always available for anything you needed their your . Anytime I a ride somewhere to my they had the waiting for me. Anytime I needed to be fed. There was food there at least six times a day. I've never had such incredible care as this. I felt like I went to heaven I spent so many years raising alone in this time it was my time to get some type of work done for my own benefit sure that I was cared for and loved. They also me shower and bed was always in great shape and comfortable, and I got to have the deepest sleep I've ever had. I didn't even wanna leave. This is your go to place whether you have surgery or not to get some good R&R and you get to meet there that are friendly that are also having surgery and they also have an oxygen if you need to get treatment for that too, and if you need any type of care to get your hand and feet pedicure done, they will call it in and also if you need any type of prescription, they have someone come to you and bring it to you. Always very helpful and cheerful. The WORST: the food is terrible. Your workaround is to bring your own healthy, protein-based snacks. Every meal was cold if not barely tepid. With the exception of one meal out of 15 meals/snacks. Most meals and snacks were not healthy choices. Chicken/pork hot dog with veggie snack chips. Chicken lasagna was downright cold and had a strange overpowering lemony flavor. Snacks could be canned mandarin orange slices or merengues and a cheesecake cube. I had to ask for protein sources in lieu of the served meal. Every time. I'd ask for a simple scrambled egg, it would arrive overcooked and tepid. Otherwise times, substituting wasn't an option being told the kitchen was closed. Recommend ordering delivery. Something that can't be changed and is a con: the street noise at night can be VERY loud. However, Bella is one of the few recovery centers that is a certified medical recovery center. That's a huge selling point for me. I'd stay again and just plan on ordering food delivery.

There are better facilities out there with better prices & not as money hungry as Serena.

We were fortunate to connect with Lauren from Visiting Angels while my Mother was in a rehab…read morefacility due to a broken hip. Once Mom was able to return home we knew she would need assistance during the day while we were away. Lauren was mentioned during a support group for a rare disease my Mother has. She was very thorough, communicative and listened to what my Mother needed. It took a reasonable amount of time to find the right caregivers that meshed well with Mom. But, that was expected, as new people enter one another's lives it takes time to find the right fit. Lauren's team literally saved her life. Part of Mom's neurodegenerative disease impacts her ability to chew, and swallow. While taking her morning vitamins one day, Mom began choking and the visiting angel with her immediately knew what to do. Had the caregiver not been with Mom that day she wouldn't be us. Unfortunately because the disease continued to progress we eventually had to find a suitable home to provide her with 24 hour assistance. Had Mom's disease not progressed, we would not have stopped working with Lauren and her Visiting Angels team. Lastly, I believe SD Visiting Angels was previously owned and operated by someone else, prior to Lauren taking ownership. I cannot speak to the caliber of the earlier company, however, Lauren is a knowledgeable, genuine and caring person. We are thankful we were able to work together to source caregivers for our loved one.
