I would like to leave a good review. Unfortunately, I can not. I have two stars because they did do a great job on the car and it didn't take too long. However, one of the employees stopped waxing my car and started talking with his friends who pulled up four deep in a BMW and then they started play wrestling right beside my car and non of the other workers/manager said anything. When I mentioned the situation, the employee only said that it's the owners kid and he pretty much does what he wants. Okay, good to know, and I will not use this place of business ever again. New management though have improved the detail of their work. Since management has changed my car looks impeccable. I'm writing this review now because they deserve it. Wow, the only word I can muster up to describe this place. I asked the lady as I pulled up "how much is a," and before I can even finish my question she yells in a horribly rude way, "the prices are up there," so I had to reverse my car to view their sign above. I always had a rule about employees, if you're having a bad day, stay at home. This lady must hate her life, job, and or people because her people's skills are nonexistent. Don't go to this place, their recliners have roaches, and an inch layer of dust on them. I'm giving this car wash one star because you have to in order to post a review. If I could I'd give it negative 5 stars. Drove by and saw that the lot was completely empty. I thought: score!! Surely I can get in and out in 30 minutes. WRONG!! Drove up to the vacuum area that was EMPTY and found a place to sit and play on my phone. Lost track of time. 30 minutes later a blue car zooms out of the wash area. I was shocked as it wasn't even in the vacuum area when I arrived. Talked to the cashier who simply responded, "Well it's a rental." Ah that means nothing to me! She then explains they have priority over ANY customer. They must have a contract. Talked to the "manager" who's an elderly Latino man. He refused to refund my money so that I could leave. He refused despite the vacuuming not having been started!! Longer story shorter, he refused to return me my keys! He then quickly instructs someone to start vacuuming my car. While arguing with me he instructs a worker to put it thru the car wash. An hour later I have a semi dirty car with water spots and I'm out $13!! You're better off hosing down your car in your drive way. The 10.99 price that they advertise on the sign will only get you a wash and vacuum, i decided to go with the full package at 24.99. Being the only car there i was hoping in n out 20 min at most maybe even 15 min. The register area looks to be a little dirty and the girl was full on sleeping with her head down. After ringing me up she quickly went back to her nap. They only had 1 guy doing the hand wash/dry so it took about 35 min altogether, i wonder how long a busy day would be. In the end, i was not impressed with the results. Interior looks nasty, greasy and dark looking. The exterior didn't look complete with spots of something brown and residue. I'm absolutely furious with this place. I decided to try it out on my way home & I pull up and ask for the works. Than one of the workers encourages me to try their special for the day and I declined than he followed with "well at least try the spray wax it's only $10 dollars more" I agreed. Not only was it very time consuming but the results were so upsetting. I was itching to leave so I didn't even bother to check out my car before I left. As soon as I get home I see HUGE scratches on three of my car windows! Also, they left sticky residue all over my car. I've never had an experience like this at any car wash. I came here several years ago when it was called something else, and never returned. The current owner is a very nice man, and his workers hustle for their tips. They do a pretty solid hand wash, and earned a fair 80% mark on my hundred dollar detail. If I am ever pressed for time and cannot go to my usual 5 star place, this makes for an excellent alternative. I encourage you to give them a try! For the pricing this place deserves a 5, but when price is not taken into account it is a solid 4. Enjoy! read more

I used to take all my cars here, even though they did an OK job, never great, just an OK job! The day ended of me coming here when they broke something on my car and didn't take responsibility, I called them out on it and they acted like they didn't know what happened, they kept giving me a very rude runaround for answers with Management, I honestly just wanted them to be truthful, I know mistakes happen! Having a lowered car and a lifted truck, my options for car wash locations are slim. Every time I go it gets worse. They use dirty rags on the windows which leaves smears everywhere. They won't vacuum the back of your SUV unless you open the back door (they don't ask you to do this). They use crappy armor all that flies off your tires and all over the side of your car when you're driving. Recently I took my Pathfinder in and they didn't even wash the top of the car! The car looked worse then when I brought it in. As others have said, the old Latino man is cranky and rude. Time to find another car wash! read more

I used to go here when it was called Classic car wash and had different owner. I imagine the economy took a toll on them and more people started washing their own cars rather than paying someone else. Nevertheless, this place has opened up again and it's under new ownership and a new name, Sunshine Car Wash. I took advantage of their midweek special and got my poor ole Jeep washed. I think I heard my car say "thank you" to the attendant giving my car the finishing details. For $7.99 I got a fantastic cleaning...they even cleaned my Jeeps rooftop which was extremely filthy. I was so pleased with the price and service that for now I'll stop washing the car myself. I hope they are able to sustain the economy and remain in business. Every time I drive by they seem to be dead...makes me sad. Not to say that I'm leaving a pity review here. They do a great 5 star job and are in my opinion the best car wash in El Monte. My girlfriend lives in South Pasadena and gets her car washed through out the San Gabriel Valley and also agrees that this place is really good. read more

I understand everyone has a different experience. Sadly ours was not the best. Our family owns 2 cars, I usually take mine to NuWay Hand Car Wash in Monrovia. I have never had a problem there since I remember. They always do a good job. With the 2nd car, mom's. She decided to go here. Despite my efforts to have her go to Monrovia. We left the car here, upon our return we were happy with the way the car looked. Well cleaned, tires nice. The inside looked good, it was until we sat inside the car that noticed that the dashboard was extremely greasy. Nasty! Instead of being shinny and nice...it was so greasy things were sticking on to the dash. The scent they put on the vehicle smelled like dirty rags. There were parts inside the car (near radio, vents, window buttons) that were dirty and not cleaned well. As we are driving off the lot, a screw from their lot...gets stuck on our tire. We had to take the vehicle to get the tire fix. Figured they did a crappy job, we will never go there again. However it was until my mom noticed her Ray-Ban sunglasses were STOLEN! She tried giving them the benefit of the doubt and searched the car but nothing came up. My mom had those sun glasses in her car all the time, strictly for driving. Nice to know you cant even have a pair of designer glasses in the car when coming here. I hope the guy that stole an old pair of sunglasses used the money wisely. I understand times are tough....but how does this place expect to gain business if every time a customer goes in, they will come out missing something from their vehicle. I honestly recommend staying away from here. There's not many hand car washes around the area but this is one place to STAY AWAY FROM. Its not worth coming here. Whats the point of saying "under new management" if the same crappy employees are there. You can change the management as much as you can, but if you keep getting the same employees over and over again...if makes no difference. read more

Very disappointed in this place. Years ago I came here and I believe I had good service. Few months back I went there and it's only 4:40pm and the guy said they were closed. I ask what time do you closed and he said 5pm...and the guy sitting in a chair told me they are closed. They didn't put any close sign up. His explanation was the worker went home. Basically they make their own hours. I thought I give them another try because my house is down the street. The front guy seem nice. They didn't do a good job. The car still have bird shit spots and the front wasn't clean. Also they choose who car go first. I was there first but they took another car first. I notice there is a medium size scratches of paint came off on the driver. My car is less then a year old. I feel that they were very careless. Do not recommend it. You can do a better job then bringing there. Just might as well take it to one of drive through at the gas station. read more
