Both times we've been seated pretty quickly. At this location I've tried the spicy fried cauliflower and it was sooo good! On a separate occasion I brought my sister who was visiting from out of state. We ordered some sushi, the gyoza and the steak with the fried mashed potatoes and she wouldn't stop talking about how much she loved the food! The only thing I don't love is that they use egg white in the margaritas and if you don't read the ingredients you'll be wondering why your glass smells like egg. Apparently they do this for the foam ‍ Told my sister this and she ordered a strawberry margarita (not on the menu) and still ended up with egg whites in her drink lol so now I make sure to ask at restaurants around the area. The food is great though and so is the service. Both their indoor and outdoor areas are very nice.

Unfortunately, the shrimp were a huge disappointment. They looked and tasted like small frozen bagged shrimp from the grocery store rather than fresh, quality shrimp you'd expect from a restaurant. Joey's, what's going on here? This dish deserves real large or jumbo shrimp that are seasoned, grilled, and then added to the pasta. The quality of the shrimp completely took away from what would have been an outstanding meal. Upgrade the shrimp, and this dish would easily be one of the best on your menu.

Bavel - Scallop Crudo - pomegranate molasses, citrus, Serrano chili oil, cucumber and mint. One of my fave items of the night. Majordomo - Short Rib Ssam (lettuce wrap) and condiments. Most plates came with butter lettuce and meat on top and you add your own condiments. Then there were the huge short rib plates. They reminded me of Fred Flintstone. Ma'am Sir - Mango moose with tamarind tapioca and honey meringue. Yummy!! The flavors blended so well together. Make sure to take get all the flavors in. SO YUM! Riboli Family from San Antonio Winery were pouring some yummy Stella Rosa and Cabernet Sauvignon. Flying Embers Brewery were pouring their Hard Kombucha. I got to try the Berry and Lemon. Both were good, but I liked Berry better. Maker's Mark Whisky had some signature cocktails and I go to try the Bourbon and Sand, and Gold Rush. The bartender made our drinks strong! Yum yum! Porsche was one of the sponsors and provided a couple cars for us to get up close and personal with. They had valet parking available. The portable restrooms were some of the best I've encountered. I wish all of them were like that. Maybe we were lucky to be of the first to use them too. This is the 6th annual event for best restaurants. Definitely recommended.

Mary is the Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner and owner of Epitome Med Spa and I've been very happy with every interaction we've had! From early emails asking about gift cards and price, to exchanging Yelp Messages to schedule an initial appointment, and the two times I've been in the spa, she has been wonderful! When talking about neurotoxins, she gave me the rundown of what she has (all of them), how some people prefer one type over the other, what she uses on herself, etc. Once we decided, then it was about how much and we took a moderate approach, as you can always get more if needed, but you can't really undo it if it's too much. After 2 weeks, I called for a follow-up appointment, as a couple areas needed a little touch up. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes! But, before I left, I was able to get a quick and inexpensive quote for some milia diathermy, which I will schedule after my vacation. As many have said, Mary doesn't try to upsell you on other products, even though I'm sure her expert opinion has some other procedures in mind for all the faces she sees, lol! There is an easy-to-miss narrow turn to go into the parking lot right after the spa (which is immediately next door to Casalena). There are also meters in front that offer 2-hour parking. If you're looking for non-surgical intervention for your skin, go see Mary!

We recently celebrated a friend's birthday at Adagio in Woodland Hills and unfortunately left with…read morevery mixed feelings. To start with the positives -- the atmosphere is pleasant overall. It's a smaller restaurant with tightly spaced tables and an older crowd, but the interior is nice enough, even if not particularly memorable. We were seated promptly as our group arrived, which we appreciated. The appetizers were actually very good: the mushroom crostini and the Italian potato balls in arrabbiata sauce (not sure of the exact name) were flavorful and a great start. Later, the Caesar salad was also quite good, slightly tangy but enjoyable. Of the entrees, the Chicken Adagio stood out as the best dish -- well cooked with a nice lemon flavor. Dessert ended on a high note too: both the tiramisu and mocha cake were delicious. Unfortunately, the service experience overshadowed the food. Early in the meal, one adult in our party accidentally spilled a glass of wine that soaked the table. The owner/manager immediately reacted loudly with profanity ("F**k, just what I needed"), and instead of helping, walked around the table repeatedly complaining. No staff member offered napkins, assistance, or even basic concern -- despite one guest having wine spilled on them. After several minutes, we had to ask for a new tablecloth ourselves and even began clearing the table to help. The owner made additional rude comments about not being able to drink without spilling. When the busboy finally came, he replaced the tablecloth but did so angrily and literally tossed new plates onto the table. There was still no offer to replace the spilled wine, no replacement drinks, and no effort to make the situation right. It was extremely uncomfortable, especially since we were trying not to escalate things during a birthday celebration. For the remainder of the evening, the owner sat behind the bar staring over at the table, which made things even more awkward. At the very end of the meal he briefly apologized, but it felt half-hearted and far too late after the earlier behavior. The rest of the food was decent but inconsistent -- the penne arrabbiata was tasty though the pasta was overcooked, the chicken dish with it was also slightly overdone, and the bolognese was okay but not memorable. Overall, while some of the food was enjoyable, the hostile and unprofessional response to a simple accident made this an experience none of us want to repeat. Dining at a nicer restaurant should feel welcoming and relaxed, not uncomfortable or adversarial. Sadly, all seven of us agreed we wouldn't return.
