We had a very good impression of this dental clinic, but unfortunately my mother-in-law's experience was extremely disappointing. During her procedure, she repeatedly told the dentist that something was hurting and that she felt a lot of blood in her mouth. Despite expressing her concerns several times, she did not feel that she was being taken seriously. At one point, she had to sit up because she was spitting out a large amount of blood and had already swallowed quite a bit of it. When she mentioned what was happening, she was told that it was "just water." She was left with a significant injury inside her mouth, along with pain and swelling. What disappointed us most was not only the injury itself, but also the lack of concern, communication, and empathy shown toward the patient throughout the situation. The only solution offered was a prescription for medication, without a clear explanation or proper follow-up. We cannot recommend this office. read more

I've been a smile care member for years , I made the mistake of switching offices to one closer to me, little did I know for years they double charged me, charged at both officesz. I've brought the issue up to both offices several times over th years and it just continued, and have yet to get any resolution. I'm at my wits end, as if the economy isn't bad enough, to be getting robbed by a dental corporation. Anytime I call either office they act like it's news to them. read more

Dr. BOURG implanted 4 mini implants less than 5 years ago, since then , all 4 implants have fallen out. My husband had a regular implant done plus a crown on a different tooth. Both the implant crown and the regular crown have since broken off. When I contacted Dr. BOURG about the problems, he offered me $1500. The cost to replace everything that failed was $10,000! Be wary going to this dentist. He's deceptive! read more

I have been a patient of Dr Landry at Exceptional Dental for a while now. She is patient with me and very fast with her work. She checks with you to see if you need something while she is working, even offering breaks for long procedures. I've had several hard procedures that have been completely painless. My pain after, and recovery time, was also minimal due to her good work. I have complete confidence in her. read more

I went to the Metairie location and saw Dr. Foster. I would not recommend him. He doesn't seem to empathize with patients who are in pain. Received 3 fillings and her was rough on my mouth. I was in pain for three weeks after the procedure. read more

This place is by far the best, the entire staff is very professional and helpful from the minute you walk in. I had to bring my wife in because she was in pain for 3 days and they took care of her right a way. Dr. Laundry and her assistant Alex were unbelievable. I have to say Alex was amazing and so helpful she did EVERYTHING to make sure my wife was comfortable and ok and I will never be able to thanx her enough for what she did for us, Dr Landry was awesome she did everything she could to make sure my wife was not in pain anymore and took real good care of her. I will DEFINITELY recommend them to family and friends. I send an appointment request, 2 days ago in the message I specified my Insurance and Network up front to make sure I don't waist my time. They response was very quickly they call me to confirm appointment time, also I provide my insurance information once again this time including Subscriber ID, Group ID, insurance address and including the customer service #. She confirms my appointment for 05/2 at 3pm also request me to film out the forms online which i did, to save time. I reached to the Kenner Dental office at 2:42 first time at the office they have around 8 desk agents, they lady that welcomed me asked if I had and appointment and my last name ? I said yes, she said your appointment was for 2pm not for 3 and you hace cleaning set for 3pm. She also asked me if I received a text message confirmation. I said no She when to the back to check if they can take me back in for 3, comes back she confirmed ok you are back in schedule, then she asked me for my ID and insurance Then she came back to me, saying do you speak Spanish I said yes once again. She started to speak Spanish to me to apologize because the person that set my appointment and took my information had everything wrong and they don't take my insurance. Sorry for the inconvenience. Filling out the forms online for what?? if they aren't going to look over it for you no to weist your time. Over 8 desk agents and all incompetent. She decided to speak Spanish so the other people in the waiting room couldn't understand what she was saying to me. Very nice office, very sure that they have great doctors. For the third time in less than a year Exceptional Dental screwed up my appointment time. I had a 1pm appointment on Tuesday for which they called and confirmed on Monday. I arrived at 10 minutes til on Tuesday and after taking my temperature the staff member informed me that I was early and that my appointment was for 2pm. I disagreed and stated that it was for 1pm and they had call me to confirm that the day before. After a little flustering about behind the counter during which I heard one of the staff members say "I looked at it wrong" to what I can only guess was the staff manager, the manager called me up to inform me there was a mistake and no one could see me until 2pm. I walked out of there when and no one from their team has made any attempt to reach out to me to make ammends or to try and resolve this ongoing issue with their appointment setters. About 9 months ago I made an appointment on a Tuesday the week before I was starting a new job. They had asked me for a credit card to have on file before the appointment so I stopped by on Monday at which time the staff member informed me that my appointment was scheduled for Tuesday of the next week. I told her no that it was tomorrow. Why on earth would I schedule a procedure the second day on a new job. The reception staff there are completely incompetent and do not care how they inconvenience their patients. read more

Dentist's did great work and were very professional, but billing however was terrible!! My wife and I had work done there and asked before we proceeded how much our insurance covered and how much we would have to pay out of pocket. They told us and we went from there. Couple months later they informed us that our insurance wouldn't cover everything after all and that we owed them more money. We called the insurance company and they told us it was because they sent the wrong paperwork and that they had told them several times what to send! All this after they threatened to send us to collections! And we are never late on paying bills, and both have excellent credit! Be careful if you go to them and take everything they tell you with a grain of salt! Very disappointed, never going back! Only gave them 3 stars because of their crappy billing department. Their Dentist's are the only reason they get any stars at all!! read more

I highly recommend this clinic. I was in a severe pain and when I called, they were able to get me on earliest appointment on same day and their staff is very professional. Their rates are at least 20% less compared to other clinics and did an excellent job. Xray and tooth extraction are done within an hour. Thank you. read more

Nice staff but if they tell you that you need to have more work done or want to charge you extra for something I would wait and get a second opinion. You may not have the condition that they tell you. At the end of the day they just want more money. read more

I've been going to this location for a couple years now. I loved the "exceptional" service from the front desk to the dentist staff. It started to change a year back unfortunately. I never feel the need to write reviews because I don't usually feel the need to put a dental facility on blast. The issues stem from the front office staff. They aren't rude but they are definitely standoffish and also condescending with any billing or scheduling discrepancies. I called promptly to reschedule my appointment since I had a cold and laryngitis (your welcome) and had another appointment scheduled a week out. Through out that week I got over 6 calls, 2 text messages, 1 email about my appointment since apparently they put me on the black list for being a no call no-show twice within the past 2 years. If you all still do not trust me than keep me on your walk in list and don't harass me with irrelevant verifications from up the 3 different front desk staff, all ranging with different attitudes and demeanors over the phone. Not once was I told by any of them that my insurance had changed and that I would need to bring in a new insurance card. The female the day of my appointment scolded me saying that this is why they call us so much, and that even if I had a new insurance card that it would take over an hour just to process. Again, not one of them told me this over the phone. She also off handedly said while I was calling to get my insurance info, that I would need to pay completely out of pocket like I couldn't just reschedule. I guess all and all I would love to stay with this group, but I'm greatly disturbed with the staff and how they treat me. I'm young and mind my business. I don't ever cause any of them turmoil, so why am I treated so coldly as if I'm having an argument with an older sibling? If I wanted to have unnecessary arguments, TRUST ME, I woulda just stayed home! Also trust and believe I would've been fired if I were as Standoffish at my job. I work in hospitality as the face of a hotel, but I guess working at a dental office doesn't require you to have hospitality. read more

I have been a patient of Exceptional Dental for over a year now. I have moved with them when they made their expansion. Therefore I have see firsthand any glitches there may have been in the system. While they have been expanding and weeding out the not so exceptional staff members, I can truly say every experience I have ever had there has been just that - exceptional. I am truly grateful for the staff, front and back for their kindness, understanding and patience. I have had the luxury of frequenting more than one dentist in the last year and they have been incredible. I believe the assistants are knowledgeable and nurturing for those apprehensive of dental work, like myself. I give this staff 5 stars. My first visit there was an emergency. My partially erupted wisdom tooth started hurting two days before and the infection swelled the whole left side of my face. I was miserable and anxious. I went there with no idea of the place's reputation but was very pleasantly surprised. The waiting room is inviting, they have free coffee and bottled water, and the front desk people were very friendly and so were the hygienists, especially Mindy who was delightful. They took a quick x-ray of my whole head and the image was instantly viewable on a computer screen. My dentist chair had 2 TVs, one ahead and one above and they gave you a remote. The whole crew just made me feel at ease. I had dr. McInnis extract my tooth. Let me tell you I don't like to feel pain! So I had everything: sedation, numbing shots and gas. He and his assistant just got to work and I didn't feel much of anything, just some uncomfortable pressure, but it was quick. They cleaned out the infection and stitched the gum. It was all over before I knew it. I highly recommend this place and plan on going back to them for regular care. read more

This was possibly the worst and scariest medical experience I've ever had. I was bullied and forced into getting xrays for a simple dental cleaning when I was later informed I could have been given a waiver to sign to not have to get xrays for a dental cleaning. Melissa, the dental hygienist lied to me and told me it was ILLEGAL not to get xrays before a dental cleaning, then walked into the next room and spoke with the other assistants about me in degatory terms. When she came back into the room, I told her I could hear her and it wasn't professional, she told me there were no doors to close so I didn't have to hear her! Not an apology in anyway but this practice was anything but professional. Go anywhere else, truly anywhere else! read more
