I have to tell you, I HATE going to the dentist, no less one that specializes in root canals and more complicated things, but Regine Dyer has given me a new perspective. Sent to her as a referral for extreme sensitivity to everything for a tooth. Dr Dyer examined all the teeth in the area and ultimately found the tooth the dentist thought was the problem was not. X-rays showed a previously sloppy root canal, but nothing that had to be fixed. I left her office with a tube of very strong sensitivity toothpaste and told to use it every day and sleep in it. The goal: control the sensitivity to avoid a root canal. Two follow up visits and continued use of the toothpaste has helped. She advised I have a bite issue which has caused microscopic cracks in the enamel of my teeth causing the sensitivity, and if I really wanted the bite fixed, I could see a prosthodontist. Wow, who knew? My other option is veneers, but she did not push this. And to totally round out this review: On a couple of occasions a hygienist was doing something else for Dr Dyer, but she still proceeded to do the exam without assistance. She's time sensitive and I like it! The staff is very friendly and efficient. Rarely if ever have a waited past my appointment time. The reception area has plenty of comfortable seating and light. You do have to pay up front for the scheduled service, and added services are billed to your insurance or whatever your situation is. There is free lot parking in the front and the back of the building and I've never not been able to find a spot. You'll appreciate the extra care you'll get here. read more

The dental staff are friendly and knowledgeable but there policies are stupid. Calling me at 1pm leaving a voicemail telling me I have to confirm my appointment by end of business day or my appointment will be cancelled is dumb. I work for a living and can't always get to my phone, they either need give more time or just trust since I scheduled the appointment I plan on showing. I show up to the appointment ready to use care credit because it's advertised they accept it and I was verbally told that they accept it but then I get to my appointment and they tell me. read more

I recently relocated to Monrow, and this was my first dental appointment in a while! Jennine (sp) was my hygienist and was thorough, and gentle. Dr. Klipp took the time to explain everything and made sure I understood how to better care for my teeth and gums. I found my oral health team and am a satisfied patient. read more

Got periodontist name off United Healthcares website. Called the office who confirmed they are in network. Scheduled a procedure 5 months later in which I was told was covered and had to only pay around $250. I get a bill a month later saying the procedure was out of network and not covered and I had to pay the full amount. I was never aware of this before the procedure date. Called my dental insurance who said that they become out of network sometime between my first visit and procedure date. This was also never told to me. The billing department blamed my insurance but it's actually on them. I am now appealing the procedure codes. read more

I was extremely disappointed with my visit to Dr. Dyer's today. I currently have Humana insurance with a $3000. Dental allowance per year. I need a root canal. I called Humana to find the Endodontists in my network. On their print out was Dr. Dyer's name. I then called to make appointment. I asked Dr. Dyer's office if they accepted Humana. The response was "Yes....absolutely". After arriving and filling out paperwork. I was informed that my visit would cost me $400. out of pocket for my visit. I did NOT understand why. They announced that I was NOT in network. They no longer take Humana. How convenient for them. Oddly enough the people ahead of me were being processed with Humana. The bottom line is that: the office had no right to tell me that they accept my insurance. There were apologies made . But, I did leave with a very annoyed feeling. Totally unprofessional on the part of this office. Be very careful about believing what you are being told. I will now look for a more reputable Endodontist in the near future. read more

It took me a while to write this review, but Dr. Jeffrey Snitzer, at Lakeside Dental Care is the best! I started out seeing Dr. Snitzer as I needed a periodontist to address an infected tooth that had gone into the bone. He cleaned the infection out, put in bone grafting and everything was great. Then 2 months later, I cracked the same tooth because of night time teeth grinding. At this time, my normal dentist referred me back to Dr. Snitzer for an extraction because the bone had become infected again and I was now in need of an implant. Well, the front desk girls at Lakeside Dental were fast and professional at getting me back in swiftly. Dr. Snitzer and his assistant, Christy, took the time to explain the next steps and even consulted an inhouse dentist to extract the tooth, right prior to the bone graft. Since then, Dr. Snitzer and Christy have been available to address any concerns that I have had and have helped to put my mind at ease. I am currently on my way to getting my implant thanks to the care that I have received by Dr. Snitzer and the team, and could not be happier. I could not have asked for a better experience, and would highly recommend Dr. Snitzer and the team at Lakeside Dental. read more

Please Read!!! This story begins with me being 37 weeks pregnant and in severe tooth pain. I initially visited another dentist and was just sent home untreated due to the possible treatment complications of a pregnant woman. This left me in tears and in excruciating pain for 24 hours. I did my research and found Dr. Dyer who has great reviews for good reason. I showed up with no appointment as soon as the practice opened hoping they could alleviate my pain. They were gracious enough to squeeze me in. From the moment I walked in I knew my experience would be a pleasant one. I was greeted by Carol at the front desk who has very empathetic and made sure to listen to my concerns. She called Dr.Dyer right away and they came up with a game plan. Miss Ann made sure to verify my insurance and made it a seamless process. Before you know it I was sitting in the chair starting evaluation and treatment. Jessica and Simone were assisting Dr.Dyer in the procedure and they were very attentive, professional, and made me feel at ease. Dr. Dyer was very thorough and communicated every step of the way. She always checked on me and made my root canal as painless as possible which I truly appreciated. Lastly i was checked out by Miss Nischel who was just the sweetest. I went in for treatment earlier this week with Dr Dyer for a root canal I was in immense pain and super nervous. Dr Dyer quickly put my mind at ease... Did nothing but build me up... no shaming me for my self inflicted poor dental condition. It was nothing but a positive experience. Just my opinion(legal talk)ZERO STARS for Lakeside !! But I feel like i,ve been fighting bills with these bums for years, because I have. Unfortunately my spouse likes the hygienist so she keeps going back and I keep getting unfairly billed in my opinion .They do work that they should know ain,t covered by my insurance and ain,t been agreed to. Usually 2 & 2 adds up to 5 or more,etc.The office people have been rude for at least 20 years. They have raised my blood pressure and probly taken time off my life expectancy. Save your money and time this place is a rip off! They charged me triple on what other dentist offices would charge. I was referred to them by my dental plan and after showing them my information they were going back and forth between do they work with it or not. At the end they directed me to the dentist's cabinet with the final conclusion that they will take my plan. Afterwards when I saw my bill that wasn't the case they said that actually just because I was already there they've decided to give me 20% off what is still too high for the minimal procedures they did( visit + x-ray $231) When I asked for comprehensive information they refused to give me any explanation and annoyed rolled their eyes on me. Been here several times over the years. Office is pretty nice, and they have hot assistants or hygienists, not sure which. Doctor was very efficient. Had 4 wisdom teeth removed and it only took the doctor 5 minutes. Oh, and he wasn't shy about prescribing pain meds. Definitely highly recommended. read more

This was my 3rd visit to Lakeside Dental, (2 cleanings, and 1 Root Canal) and after each visit I am impressed with the staff, the service, and the follow up's that they do. Previously I was seeing a Dentist on the Northshore, where I live, and found that the service is comparable to what I was receiving on the Northshore, but for a 1/3rd of the price. Find another dental office and don't choose Dr. Jeffrey Snitzer! I wasted 45 mins waiting to be seen by Snitzer only to listen to him chat and laugh about his sons grades while leaning up against a counter to another patient. I decided to leave and on the way out made him aware of why I was leaving. Instead of apologizing for making me wait, he simply said "good bye" and smirked as he said it. I met with the manager also who had no apology. If you want to be treated respectfully, go elsewhere. And for girls behind the counter, only one was nice. The others were rude. read more

Excellent dental care! I have been a patient at Lakeside Dental Care for many years and have only great experiences with the staff.

Because of tooth pain and concerns of possibly worsening conditions, I called the offices of Lakeside Dental to move up an appointment I had scheduled days before. I was scheduled a new time and date that shaved approx. a week off my wait time. Problem being, when I showed up for the appointment, I was told I was scheduled for the original date. Apparently no one bothered to note the change. Furthermore, I had changed around my time and other commitments to accommodate that appointment, and here I was sitting in an empty waiting room being told the doctor couldn't see me then. I've decided to see another dentist. Fact is, I probably had extensive dental work that needed done, certainly a root canal at least. So someone's incompetence lost them not only me as a patient, but my wife as well. read more

They made my daughter feel ashamed of her dental needs. The dentist was judgmental and his assistant rude. She was left twice without explanation waiting in the chair for twelve minutes and again for seventeen minutes. I have been with lakeside dental since 1999 they recently stopped taking CIGNA insurance but didn't bother to notify their customers that this was taking place so appointments that were scheduled 6 months in advance were canceled at the last minute. Our account was transferred to another dentist without notification, so now I am stuck without my cleaning, paying for insurance I can not use for at least two month because other dentists will not accept immediate transfers of patients because CIGNA gives them problems if a patient was on another practice's list at the beginning of the month. read more

My family has been going to Lakeside for a long time. However, we will not be returning because the company has become pushy and questionable in their billing practices as well as their dental care. On my last visit I was told I needed all four of my wisdom teeth removed. When I showed up for my surgery, the dentist looks at the x-ray and tells me that the top teeth are two deep so he won't remove them. He then tells me that I am not going to be sedated for the procedure. If he had bothered to look at my x-rays before the surgery I could have scheduled an oral surgeon to take out all four. But Lakeside is only concerned about money these days, and clearly not their patients. read more

After leaving this place in tears, I will not recommend this place to anyone. I originally came to fix a chipped molar tooth which needed either a root canal or extraction. I made my appointment and saw a young dentist where she pushed on it and took some not so great x-rays and told me I would need to talk to the oral surgeon who was not in that day and would call me. I was in terrible pain and they sent me home with a script to get me through a couple of days. After receiving no call for the weekend and then to Wednesday I decided to call myself and see what the hold up was about. The receptionist made me an appointment and told me I would be allowed to talk to a dentist that day. Arriving of the appointment date they were all prepared to do the procedure without talking about my options which was what the last dentist said they would do since the other one was out. Well one of the nurses started talking to me about it and the root canal Dr. came in and said "Let me interrupt you so you don't have to repeat any of this" and started talking to me about options. I actually started feeling better and more comfortable about the place with her and she said she would get them to pull up some prices and let me know my options. When the nurse came in with prices she showed me where they charged me $222 to have the Dr. talk about those options. Never once did anyone say they were charging me an extra amount for this. Which also happened on the previous appointment (charged an extra amount that was previous stated different). Once I said I was not happy the attitude changed with employees.I wanted to speak to the manager at this point. Once arriving "Bob" came in the room saying right away did I cuss at the lady, which I did not. And he was totally rude and not even wanting my side of the story. I said please make this right I just want to leave. I told him I would not be paying for the amount of the consultation and he said " I will have you in collections before you get to the parking lot!" I have never been so embarrassed at a establishment and not the type looking for a way out of paying. We waited and they came saying we wouldn't have to pay anything and we left. Nothing accomplished after paying a hefty amount to this place. :( read more

This place appears credible online but I'm going to tell you now to find ANYWHERE else to go. I chose to come to Lakeside Dental Care after recently moving to Louisiana and needing a new dentist. I have been here on five or so occassions to finish work that should have been done in two visits. Every single time I come in here I wait over an hour for the doctor to even see me and I always show up ten minutes early to check in. When I was supposed to get my work done the nurse told me I would be coming in to have certain teeth done, which needed it the most and I agreed and when I went in for the procedure the doctor was working in an entirely separate part of my mouth. WHILE ON NITROUS, I told her that wasn't what I was told I would be having done and in the middle of the procedure she looked at me with total fear in her eyes and said there had been a misinformation. If you don't think that's incredibly negligent I don't know what to say. I also paid nearly $4000 after they charged my insurance which I told them not to do and that I wanted to pay for it out of pocket and was quoted the wrong price for that as well from my initial consult to when it was time to pay. After my first procedure I also told the doctor a month later that I was still having pain in my teeth even though the nerves were supposed to be removed entirely and I wanted to know why that would be or if something was wrong and she thought I was accusing her of not removing all the nerves and doing a poor job and said if I didn't like it I should go spend MORE MONEY and see a specialist to fix what should have already been done. Nothing but fake smiles and bad attitudes here. Now that I am finally finished with my work three months later I will NEVER be coming back. read more
