The park is very pet-friendly, with wide trails, open spaces, and plenty of room to walk, sniff, and explore. We love coming here in the winter months because it's much less crowded, which makes it perfect for letting our dog, Luna, really enjoy herself without a lot of distractions. She gets to explore at her own pace, and we get a peaceful, relaxing walk. Another nice bonus is the cost--it's only $2 per person to enter, which is very reasonable for how much space and how well-maintained the park is. We have the Charleston County Park Pass, so we don't pay anything to get in, making it an easy go-to spot for regular visits. The trails are well-kept, there's a great mix of wooded areas and open space, and it never feels overly busy during the cooler seasons. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quiet, dog-friendly park, especially in the fall and winter when the crowds thin out.

Like always the park never failed to bring a smile to every child's face and we look forward to being back there next year.. our trip there though was a whole lot better then two years ago which took us 4 hours to get in versus the 18 minute ride this time.

The playground boasts tons of different areas with opportunities to swing, climb, bounce, roll, and explore. I loved the variety of activities and things to do. I also love that the playground is mostly covered which makes the sun or some drizzle not a big deal. There are some areas outside the playground to sit and eat. I'm not sure about the process for booking an area or if you have to, but it's a solid place for a party. This is now a weekend staple!

If you really want to hear about it, Charles Towne Landing is one of those places that's crazy…read moreabout history and all that, but it's been around 1670. ​Right when you get there, they've got this big concrete sign with a metal ship carved onto it, just to make sure you know your have arrived. But once you walk past the entrance, the place opens up into these incredible, huge live oak trees forming a canopy over a dirt path. It looks like something that's been there forever, without anyone messing around, nature is the master. ​They've built these wooden boardwalks that stretch right out across the marshland and over the still, dark water. The water reflects the green trees so clearly it looks like a painting, though half the people pushing strollers across the bridge are too busy taking photos to even look at the trees. They've also got a statue standing in the woods of a Native American holding a club, just standing there among the bare trees, which gives the whole woods a quiet, sort of eerie vibe. Up near the water, you can even catch a glimpse of the tall wooden masts of that old replica sailing ship they keep docked there. ​It's actually a pretty good place to walk around if you want to get away from a bunch of phonies for an hour, provided you just stick to the boardwalks and watch the trees instead of listening to the tour guides.

The garden lives up to its name and there are plenty of butterflies available to be observed as they fly out and about from all parts of the garden. I like that there are educational displays with pictures of the different types of butterflies that are present in the garden. The flowers and plants are nice to smell and look at too. There are plenty of places to sit and even a picnic table to have a picnic in the garden. The trees in the garden create plenty of shade to make it a cool place to be. I like that this area is there and it is nice to visit on a busy day to catch some fresh air and quiet and hang out with the butterflies.

The young female instructor gave the group very clear directions & spelled out everything in concise, easy to understand language for kids. She explained the gear & the importance of taking good care of one's "koala," (the metal toggle attached to the thick metal zipline.) Before I knew it, my son was off & running. He did the first run, the second, then completed the whole circuit. He did it over & over, & even opted for the next level up! I saw the owner actually work one on one for over 30 minutes with a boy who wasn't ready to do the zip line but wanted to try the rock wall instead. This is a really fun concept & I love how each person does the course on his own, with the guides present mostly for encouragement & for keeping things running safely & smoothly. It is a great outfit for a celebration like a birthday, team building for professionals, or simply for some family bonding. It's very clean, well-run, & the guides are top notch. I highly recommend it!

There were kids there from the camp being held at the rec center next door, but they were very polite. There are three playground sets, two adult swings, two baby swings, a basketball hoop, large field area, hopscotch and rocking horses. The equipment was hot since there isn't a whole lot of shade, but it didn't stop my kid from going down the slide six hundred times. There were quite a few ant hills around the "wall" of each jungle gym set, so be cautious. I got bit a couple times. I didn't really see any bugs in the mulch. I'll probably come back here with my daughter sometime since it's not too far away.

This park is located in a neighborhood. I wasn't too sure when I first turned in, but it was an okay spot. (Kinda felt like I was intruding with the people across the way eyeballing us). There are 3 different playground sets that will work for a variety of ages. They also have some metal "rocking" horses, swings and a nice big grassy area for running around. There are trees, but not enough to shade the equipment. Unfortunately, no toilets. Absolutely no kids anywhere to be seen, not sure if that's a good or bad thing. Overall it was just okay. It's not worth going out of your way for, but if you live nearby I think it's a good hidden spot.
