I am still quite happy with the work that was done on my old rundown kitchen. However, over the last few months, the company's follow-up has become an issue. Once they are through with the job but something isn't right, don't expect them to get back to you in a timely manner or at all. I had a major toilet leak at the bottom for the past two weeks. I called a plumber and when they removed the toilet to inspect everything it turned out that the wax ring was never installed correctly. The last company to mess around with the toilet was Exclusive Cabinet. They tiled the floor on the bathroom and the installer removed the toilet to lay down the tile, then put a new wax ring, and reset the toilet. Welp. Turns out the wax ring was too low and not even doing its job. It wasn't compressed at all. It's been leaking since March 2024. I'm super annoyed and disappointed by this discovery. read more

John Burton is a nice guy, but if he doesn't do the work himself and gets people that are really low grade flooring and baseboard installers. This is what it looks like...he claims floor was great! Well it is an improvement from the last defected flooring he had somebody else lay the first time. The old flooring after install was nothing but snap crackle and pop every moment of the day when you walk on it. He claimed it was defective but the manufacturer wouldn't back it up after coming out and checking it out. Tucscan was the brand. It was crap! John stood behind his work and saying he'd have the floor replaced with the different brand my wife picked out but we paid the difference from the old to the new. I also had a bedroom added do to the water damage we incurred in between. We paid extra for that too. The flooring is fine. Crackle here or there but we can live with it. We are on a raised foundation subfloor. John had the flooring guys who seemed to be off the street or he picked up at Van Buren swap meet for Pennie's on the dollar put some thin set down in the main walkway area to float the uneven spots he claims which he charged me $2100 for... that was BS all in all very unhappy about all the shabby baseboards put back on without sinking nail holes very little caulking and definitely no touch up after reinstalled baseboards. I will have to get someone like Woodward flooring to fix what John's so called team could do right when flooring was completed. We are so very happy with the work from Exclusive Cabinets and Counters in Riverside. Owner, Jonathan, and his entire crew, from office staff to the actual construction team, were an absolute pleasure to work with. Our kitchen was a typical early 2000 build with the orange-looking oak cabinets and in much need of an update. Upon sharing with Jonathan our vision for an updated kitchen, he was very hands on in bringing our vision to life. He was a master at showing us materials that would keep us within our budget and still achieve the look we were striving for. We had several companies provide us remodel bids. Exclusive Cabinets' bid was very fair, but most importantly from the very beginning we found Jonathan to be direct and honest. He and his team never faltered. The job remained on schedule, they cleaned up prior to finishing each day, the workers were so hardworking and all very respectful of us and our home, and most importantly Jonathan kept his word and we stayed on budget. My daughter Kyama Cunningham and I purchased the home at 15616 Allspice Lane, Fontana CA. 92336 on October 20th, 2021. We contract Jonathan Burton of Exclusive Cabinets & countertops/Exclusive Concepts By Jon on October 22nd, 2021 at 9480 Magnolia Ave. Riverside CA. 92503, moved to 3410 La Sierra Ave Ste F-480Riverside, CA 92503-5270, (951) 961-9536. We purchase a NextGen home that has an attached 1 bedroom, 1 bath & combine living room kitchenette for the sole purpose of me occupying the area, as not to have to climb stairs. I am 68 years old and have MS & Kidney decease. We delayed moving in 1 week in hopes that the dirty carpet & linoleum floors would be removed & replaced with new laminate flooring as Mr. Burton promised. 1. Arrived on move in day, sub contractors had not completed floors,, were cutting laminate inside house & garage, had to clean spots upstairs, in living & garage in order to unload 2 moving trucks. 2. Ran out of flooring, 3 week delay for floor order. Poor floor install gaps, nicks, splits & protruding nails on stairs. 2 different floor colors install, corrected after it was pointed out. Still uneven baseboards not yet repaired. 3. Did not check to make sure chosen quarts counter came in slab size, we had to chose new quartz they did come in slab size for island size. Installed quartz had to be taken out. 4. Installed powder room & Next Gen/NG bathroom cabinets with no wall spacer,/ had to point this out, corrected. 5. NG bathroom, contract for entire remodel, walk-In shower to replace tub/shower combo. Poor craftmanship on shower wall install, uneven subway tiles, (high/low) raw edges, chipped tiles, two different colors on grout, grout discoloration due to improper mix, grout not sealed in shower & kitchenette backsplash. 1st shower floor incorrectly laying, 2nd floor placed on top of poor install. 6. Mr. Burton ask for and received a punch list, he will show for 1 day with a worker, do a few things on the list, says he will be back and we will not hear from him for weeks or a couple of months at a time. Mr. Burton does communicate well with his workers are sub contractors on how the installation should be done. We have had to supervise, act as production manager & quality assurance on this project. In July I started shopping for estimates to get the NG walking shower redone, Mr. Burton ask me to give him a chance to get it right, I agreed, he has sent over an inspector for the laminate floors & for the walk-in shower but no work has been done & the punch list has not been completed. He is supposed to get an inspection done by; ;someone from the Construction Institute, it has been 2 weeks no work or status report, this is his pattern, we have to keep reaching out to him for a status. I/we are still displaced in our own home due to his incompetence. There is no status as of this date, Mr. Burton does not call to give one, we have to contact him every time to get a status/run around. read more

The quality of the cabinets was SO substandard. Many of the cabinets we had replaced during the install and now 7 months later, more problems. Doors coming apart, hinges coming off ( not just a screw fix). Contractor's "crew" cost me over $10K in damages from water damage with improper installation by unlicensed plumber of appliances. Now, my LVP flooring on stairs has gaps, sharp nail like heads coming up through the edge of the stair pieces and flooring upstairs needs repaired. Confronting this business has now yielded me no warranty work, and no return phone call from this business after I reported the cabinet problems and the luxury vinyl flooring problems. These knock off cabinets do not hold up if you use them consistently. Even the "slow close hinges" that were individually adjusted do not perform as such if they have been used frequently. I was forced to use my own home owners insurance company, hire my own restoration company and act as my own general putting my kitchen back together. Started with ECC in June 2020 and my kitchen is still not back to a 100% functioning correctly. After the big water leak, which ruined island cabinet, walls, baseboards ( mold growing) all kickboards, all LVP flooring in kitchen and lower cabinet. We catch this contractor on "speaker phone" telling a new employee to just "protect the company". Where is that customer service? They are insured. While reviewing all the contracts and change orders, I discovered $2800 that ECC either double billed or the product/service was not installed. I did recoup that money and caught their book keeping error, but only because of the damage and headache this company caused my family. Over $42K invested and no more warranty provided after 7 months. read more
