I purchased a Groupon for microblading here. I read some positive reviews about this place and made the very wrong assumption that because it was in Ridgewood I was "safe." After two hours of microblading, I sat up and looked in the mirror; I was in total shock. Not only were my brows two completely different shapes, they were different heights. I looked crazy - My face looked completely lopsided. The woman who did it acted like it was no problem to fix. I laid down, trying to be calm and trust that it would be okay. 45 minutes after the allotted two hour time, I look at my reflection again... She went over the area she messed up on using a flesh tone that didn't even match my skin. Not to mention - the shape was still insanely off. She kept saying "I'm so sorry; I worked so hard. I'm so sorry." I was sick to my stomach leaving that afternoon. I left crying and the woman at the checkout barely looked at me. Come to find out she was the owner. I got my composure and took pictures of the work- sending it to as many places as I could, looking for advice. Almost all of them said that they couldn't help me- the work was so bad, it couldn't be corrected. I called my hair stylist and booked her right away the next day. I came in wearing my hat but one brow came down so low you could still see it! All the girls at the salon tried to console me - they were all shocked at how this could happen from a "professional." I left with heavy full bangs to cover them up. I did not want that haircut, but it was the best option I had. Finally, I got an email back from a woman who said she could help and that the only way to do that was tattoo laser removal. I have gone for one of the three sessions so far. They are $300 a piece. Aside from the expense, the removal is painful and it is going to take months to get back to myself. Exclusive Day Spa was absolutely abysmal when it came to rectifying the situation. They told me, "call back in a week," because the woman who gave the service was on vacation. They took days to get back to me, and when I sent pictures the owner told me she couldn't tell what the work looked like from them and that I had to come in in person. The salon was an hour drive and coordinating with her was a pain too. When I did come in, she had such an attitude. She barely looked at the botched job, never apologized, and acted like I was bothering her. She told me to sit and wait 15 minutes to see that woman who messed me up. She must have been screwing someone else's face up. I sat there livid. Finally she said- "Let me see it again if you don't want to wait." I showed her. Again. She then said, "Call Groupon. I can't refund you, they have to." I just stormed out. I drove all the way down there for that? Ridiculous. I got in touch with Groupon right away. At first they weren't going to refund me, but I pressed because it just wasn't right. Finally, they agreed to a refund and escalated the situation to avoid future issues for their customers. I am not one to leave a bad review. If Exclusive Day Spa had even worked with me I might not have... but they should not be providing this service as they are clearly unqualified. This is a serious thing to get wrong and it has caused me serious self-esteem issues. I feel stupid for even messing with my face and for going to this place to begin with. Lesson learned. Avoid this service here at all costs. read more

Great facial but not impressed with the REALLY hard sell of additional products during the facial. This should be discussed prior to beginning the facial with the full menu of spa services laid out - not pushed on you quite aggressively DURING the facial when you're ostensibly relaxing and already being provided a paid service. I had purchased the "aromatherapy massage with cranial massage and scalp conditioner" on groupon for both my mom and I as a christmas gift. My mom has been to a couple of spas for massages, meanwhile this was my first massage ever. We both LOVED it. The place is very clean and very modern looking. Parking can be a hassle because Ridgewood is quite busy, but we had our appointment on Saturday morning (parking was pretty easy to find, and a massage first thing in the morning as perfect). We were greeted by the owner of the establishment and she smiled and offered coffee as we waited. I had Nicole, while my mom had someone else [we forget her name. sorry :( ]. We both had amazing massages! Very relaxing, and the aroma that they used was also great! We can't wait to go back! read more

Been to this place and another hair removal place. Was disappointed by the other place but here customer service is exceptional. Each time receptionist is sooooo friendly . First time I came I had to bring my two kids and she was super sweet about it. My technician is great. She answers any and all questions. Hair removal is quick and painless. Visited on a Saturday morning appointment with Groupons for my mother, sister, and myself. Very clean and relaxing environment! Served us tea while we waited for our rooms because we arrived early and then escorted us to our separate rooms... All of us loved our deep tissue massages with extra muscle care, scalp treatment, and fully body scrub. We all walked out saying "Wow!" On our way out we scheduled our next appointment in about 2 months. We've been to a few different spas so we feel confident to say this is definitely the best one yet. I've been to a couple spas in Bergen county and it took me awhile to find my home, which ended up being Exclusive Day Spa. When I first walked in, the receptionist was so sweet, she offered me coffee and spoke to me about the service I was getting that day. I can't imagine ever getting a facial from anyone other than Lana now. Every time I go there, I'm treated so well and always taken care of above and beyond. I was considering getting laser hair removal here, but after my consultation I will not be giving my business to Exclusive Day Spa. The young woman at the front desk was perfectly kind and pleasant as I was filling out paperwork, but when I met the woman who would be performing the procedure and answering my questions, things went downhill. I expressed that I was interested in getting a full brazilian laser treatment and she proceeded to tell me that she does not perform the procedure on younger women. When I asked why that was she told me it was because I was unmarried and did not yet know what my future husband's preferences in pubic hair might be. Needless to say, I was shocked and offended. I told her all of that was a moot point considering I'm gay, and she seemed a little less hesitant about the idea of me getting laser hair removal. The notion that a woman would remove her body hair only with a man's approval and permission is appalling. I came here to act on my own preferences, hoping to be met with respect and positivity, but I was not. I will not be coming back to this salon. read more

My best friend bought me a Groupon for a $135 facial at Exclusive Day Spa. I got busy and forgot about it, and when I called to make the appointment they said it had expired, but they said they would honor the price anyway. I thought that was really nice of them, and good customer service. However, they conveniently "forgot "to tell me that I would have to pay an additional $80. After a super stressful semester at college, I came home and made an appointment for an aromatherapy massage, something I've never had before but someone had recommended to me. When I came to Exclusive Day Spa, I was actually shocked at how nice everyone was, because any other spa I've been to, the people were pretty snobby and rude. The receptionist was very helpful in helping me choose the right massage and scheduling it for me, as well as taking my coat and offering me a drink before my appointment. Alida, the girl who did my massage was so sweet and did a great job. I felt like a new person and so relaxed afterwards. I can't wait to come home from school again to get another massage with her! Exclusive Day Spa is such a stress free environment, I love the positive vibes and how nice the staff is. I'm excited to try out new services here in the future! read more

I went here this past Saturday for the first time. I had received a groupon as a gift. I got an 80 minute facial with the hydrapeel mask. It was an excellent experience. Not only do you get the facial, but they also massage your hands, arms, feet, and scalp. So relaxing! The spa itself was very clean and modern. The service was great. Nicole did an excellent job. The only downside is that parking is very tough, especially on the weekend. Regardless, I would absolutely go back to try their other services. read more

I was very pleased with both treatments: both women were very courteous and professional and the spa environment was soothing and Immaculate. Very happy with my treatments here. I used their laser hair removal groupon and had fantastic results and after that used their services to grow in and reshape my eyebrows. ECSTATIC with the work done. Only criticism I could offer is that their groupon for the laser hair was a bit confusing about which one to buy for what you wanted done. Strongly suggest if its offered again that the groupon would be reworded. Other than that great job and am happy to be a customer. read more

My husband booked a prenatal massage and facial for my birthday. I went and not only were they running extremely late, but when I was finally called in I was asked how far along I was. (My husband had confirmed multiple times that I would be fine to get a massage since I was in my second trimester and I also cleared with the doctor.) They refused me and refused to find any alternate solution to make the visit worthwhile. I left and haven't heard from any manager yet to try to remedy the ruined birthday experience. read more
