I chose to try out this auto shop for my Honda CRV after seeing all the outstanding reviews, and I can say they are all true! Very honest service: I had the dealership tell me I need multiple things replaced; however, when I went to Exclusive Repair, they were realistic and said many of the items did not to be replaced quite yet. Overall, they made the repair process so seamless as they texted me their recommendations / photos and pricing, and then I could respond with which repairs I wanted to have done. I had oil change, engine and cabin filters replaced, and brake light replaced. I needed a wheel alignment, but that was not something they could do. Very reasonable pricing, and they even gave me a discount for being a UNMC employee. The drop off appointments are easy to get, but the waiting appointments book out 6 weeks or so. If you have a Honda, definitely recommend this place!! read more

I never thought I'd be obsessed with a car repair place, but here we are! The people at Exclusive Honda are honest and trustworthy. I know they'll give it to me straight and that I won't be pushed into buying or doing any work that isn't needed. From prices I paid at other places with a different car make, they seem fairly priced. Their shop is cozy and they have a nice waiting area stocked with drinks and snacks as you wait. A friend who happens to have more knowledge about vehicles than we do recommended this shop when we were vetting a new minivan for purchase. They offer a free, thorough inspection for vehicle purchases (independent of the dealership or seller ). We had a great experience getting scheduled and fit in, the report was done quickly and their mechanics made themselves available to walk me through the report and answer questions, even giving estimates of what the repairs would cost. That came in handy in asking the dealership to cover the most pressing repair needed. We also used them for that follow up repair and we were pleased with our scheduling and service again! read more

Extremely knowledgeable staff, who are always very helpful and actually will take the time to explain not just what is wrong with the vehicle but also why the repair is necessary. Also love the diagnostic report that they send, which includes pictures of various parts of your vehicle, conditions of each part, and when/why they will need to be replaced. This shop is excellent in every way. Been going to them for years and wouldn't consider anyone else. They're honest, trustworthy, reliable, respectful and will tell you if you truly need to repair something or not. They stick to servicing Hondas and Acuras and know them inside and out. One time they even replaced a part free of charge when the first fix didn't work (at a cost of $1,000 to them to ship the new part directly from the manufacturer). I have a 2008 Honda Element that I have taken here twice now. The first time I had a bunch of work done on my car (last year). They were nice and quick on the turn around for everything that needed to be done and called me directly to let me know that I needed to replace something soon. I never felt pressured to buy something that I didn't need for my car or felt like they were trying to up sell me. I just got a oil change here this week and my appointment was scheduled for 8am (I called on Monday afternoon and they got me in right away on Tuesday). I arrived at about 7:50, gave them the details, and they took my car back right away. Good thing about this shop is that they have free wifi for their customers so I logged onto my computer and started doing my homework. This shop now sends a text with the diagnostics to your phone. At about 8:15 I got the text and the guy walked in two seconds after telling me that I was all ready to go. Overall I will keep using this shop as the prices are fair, the guys are nice and don't treat me like just another woman in an auto shop, and the quick service. read more

I was on a cross country road trip and had a check engine light come on. With virtually no notice on a Tuesday, Jeremy was able to fit me in... on my schedule. Within 30 minutes they had diagnosed the problem, replaced the faulty gear pressure sensor switch with the OEM part, replaced my transmission fluid for free, and cleaned all of my dog's slobber off the inside of my windows! I had taken my Honda Del Sol in recently due to my exhaust panel being loose. Vinny and his crew were able to get my car in on short notice without an appointment. Not only was the service prompt, they didn't charge me to reattach the bolt that had come loose but also didn't try to sell me something that wasn't necessary. Furthermore, they even recommended taking it elsewhere hat could best address the issue (their shoo could but they dont do it often). Granted Hondas and Acuras sell themselves because they are great, dependable, long lasting cars, but I considered a Toyota four and a half years ago when I was looking for a new car and thought nope, there's no Exclusive Toyota, so I'm not buying a Toyota. I noticed on my receipt and reminder sticker today that is said "Stop selling and start helping!" and I believe 100% that your entire staff believes in this philosophy too. This is the best repair shop I have ever been to. If you have a Honda or Acura, you should be coming here. To start, they do free inspections on cars you are considering buying. They did 3 for me with no qualms. They provide a detailed report so you know what you are getting. The work I have gotten has been great and reasonable. The waiting room is comfortable, they have charging stations for cell phones, a coffee bar, and comfy couches. What really impressed me as a mom of a 4 month old was complimentary diapers in the bathroom! Above all, the techs, especially Matt, are honest, kind, and personable. I have never felt like they look down on me because I am a woman, which I have felt at other places. So I shook (turned) the steering wheel numerous times-key still wouldn't turn. I was referred to this shop for the repair of a cheap car not wanting to worry about warranty just get it running and I took the part needed to repair the car in to save 150 from what they wanted and Brian the service advisor would not help out and only knew the word no. This place is 5 stars. Why? I wanted the car I was purchasing inspected before I made my final decision. Like most used car inspections, prices range anywhere from $50-$100 to be looked over. How much was Exclusive? FREE. When the guy told me the price on the phone, my befuddled response was "you're joking, right?" I couldn't believe it. Guess the inspections are free so they guarantee you'll come back as a customer whenever you actually do need a repair. I tipped the mechanics with a smile of gratitude, and hopefully my new(ish) car never breaks, but when it does, Exclusive has my business! One afternoon while making a high-speed getaway from my job, my Honda Civic started missing gears and refusing to shift like it was being driven by a 15 year-old learning to drive a stick. Two problems with this: I'm 30 and it's an automatic. I went to another Honda service place. They said transmission, which is a bad thing to hear at the doctor's office as well as the auto mechanic. This is a local shop that treats it's customers the way your cranky grandparents tell you Jim who owned the service station that closed in 1983 did. I have had them help me and/or diagnose issues on my car 3 times and only one time have I actually had to have work done. TWICE they have helped me for free over the course of the five months I have owned my car. I took my car in for a tune up at their 7 AM opening time. Everyone who works there was there, working, at 7 AM. It was really nice to see that they actually mean 7 when they say 7. I was out of there and on my way to work at 735. Price was much less expensive than the Acura dealer and the waiting room is pretty darned nice for an independent place. I will be back! read more

If I could give 10 stars, I would. There is not much more you can say other than if you have a Honda or Acura, please take it here when you need service or a tune up. Your car will thank you. These guys are straight up, honest, and reliable. They always do a phenomenal job and the customer service is unbeatable. A great example was my recent call to them due to my car's heater not working properly. I was trying to schedule an appointment to have them do the repairs but they remembered that I had taken it to the dealer recently to perform a recall issue. Exclusive told me to call the dealer and see if they caused the issue and try and get them to do the repair for free. It all worked out in the end and the dealer did resolve the matter at no charge. Moral of the story - Exclusive had an easy sale from me but they passed it up in order to ultimately serve their customer. Just unbelievable. I have friends and family that will drive their Hondas hundreds of miles when repairs are needed to take them to Exclusive. It seems like either the management or staff has changed. I used to take my Honda Civic here for years and they were really nice and attentive to my car issues. Recently, however I took my car because I was having starter issues (which they had replaced a few years ago); they kept my car for 2 different days for an entire day each and said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I didn't know that it was my starter, just that my car would sporadically not crank for up to 30 minutes at a time and then crank and be fine. I literally took it to a different mechanic shop (that also has 5 star reviews) and he immediately said it sounded like a starter issue. They tested it and found it was the starter, replaced it and then let me know that there is a 3-year warranty on it in case I have any more issues. Exclusive didn't even tell me there was a warranty when they changed the starter a few years ago (it may not have had one) and it doesn't make any sense that literally everyone I described my issue to, even another mechanic shop, immediately said it sounded like a bad starter. It makes no sense that Exclusive wouldn't know that, or even look into it, unless they were trying to save face because they were the ones who replaced the last starter and they kept insisting it was fine. Anyway, the issue is fixed but I'm giving 3 stars because they're nice; I'm not taking my car back to them ever again though. I need someone reliable who knows what their doing and I'm not confident in the new team that is there read more

Super helpful and I definitely feel like they're some pretty honest people working here. Went here initially for a tuneup along with new brakes and sparkplugs. A week later, my started finally crapped out on me and had my car towed to this place. They were able to swap out the starter and I was able to pick it up a few hours later. If you're looking to drive your honda forever and ever, take it to this place for maintenance. Oh and they also use legit Honda parts. read more

I had an issue with the power locks on my Honda CRV. This was the only shop that sounded confident that they could help me over the phone. I called them mid-morning and the guy on the phone was very upfront with me. He said they were really busy and that they wouldn't be able to get me today. We talked about me dropping my car off today anyway and that way they would have it first thing tomorrow. I dropped off the car just before lunch time. They called me about 45 minutes later telling me that they had figured out what the problem was and gave me an estimate. I gave them the go ahead to start working on it. Again, he wasn't sure that they would be able to get it done today, but they did! Their prices were reasonable and their service unmatched, considering that 2 other shops failed to call me back last week to "confirm" they were able to work on the car. I would HIGHLY recommend these guys. They operate above the bar and are honest as well as dependable! read more
