Not a fan of bad reviews but whoever is working the phones here needs to be retrained. Called to make an appointment for my girlfriend's birthday on June 7th for a couples massage. The operator answered and immediately put me on hold - ok no problem. Then when she returns there's not type of niceness or sincerity in her voice, straight to the point in what am I wanting and when I asked for a couples massage she immediately wanted all my information, ok I guess, and then when I ask for how much the massages are she ignores the question getting into timings and the different services offered. I ask again "okay.. prices?" And she gives me attitude stating "depends on what you want with massages starting at $190 I don't know what you want" yes... you don't know what I want because you asked absolutely no probing questions to get to what I am looking for. Why would I book a couples massage and not know what the price is and then get there for the massage to find out it's outside of my price range. I'm sure this facility and the massages are great but I live well over 2 and a half hours away, I am going for my girlfriends celebration, so to immediately be given attitude before the trip has even started yet is a huge turn off. Did a overnight with my husband and daughter. They did the pool and I decide to do a full body scrub. I walked in and they immediately set me up with my locker and I changed into my robe. I got a tour and waited in the women's only lounge. I opted for that one because the coed was full. Cece came and got me. She took me back to the room. She was very friendly and walked me through the process. I got undressed and she worked her magic. I've gotten full body scrubs before. She scrubbed me well but also had a gentleness to her. After the scrub, she ran a shower for me. After the shower I was oiled down. You also get a mini massage as well. All in all very happy with everything. Exhale spa is a full service spa located in Ocean casino. Overall this spa experience was a great experience with a bunch of amenities. I started off by checking in and was walked to the locker room. I then had a massage which was extremely relaxing. They did an amazing job. I then went into the sauna, jacuzzi and salt room. After my massage I had 2 hours to use the amenities. Overall it wasn't too crowed but it did feel busy, sometimes it made it hard to relax with all the noise and people around. A good experience and loved all the amenities. read more

Took my girlfriend here to enjoy the day pass for her birthday. I decided to get one too to enjoy with her. The day pass cost for resort guests is $99 which isn't bad IMO. If its your first time there they'll have a staff member give you a tour, assign a locker, and make sure you know what you need. They have areas just for men and just for women, along with co-ed areas. The pool there was quite enjoyable along with the hot tub. The Himalayan salt room was great to unwind. They had complimentary bottles of water all over for easy access. Staff regularly came through to check on cleanliness and if more towels were needed. Overall a very nice experience. read more

Women's lounge was nice but it would have been better if the lights were dim. Now to the people that were in the spa. Zero and I mean ZERO spa etiquette. People on their cellphones on speakerphone, people FaceTimeing with other people and tons of loud groups. Staff does a poor job controlling this. There are no pockets on the robes that are given however this doesn't stop people from being on their phone. Now it's one thing to be texting on your phone but when someone is legit yelling on speakerphone.....I lose any relaxation the massage provided. I had a great experience at Exhale Spa. The spa itself is very pretty, with a co-ed warm water pool and jacuzzi as well as a salt room, sauna, and a women's only jacuzzi. Locker rooms have combination lockers, and guests get robes and towels. There is also a suit dryer. The showers are stocked, and you can choose from a rain shower or handheld. I had the signature massage and salt scrub with Nancy. She was professional, warm and so lovely. She really spent time on the areas where I had the most tension, and afterward my neck and back felt amazing. It was the best hand massage ever! If I had unlimited funds, I would book every week with her. I will definitely try another service with Nancy. read more

Excellent couples massage! My massage therapist was Nelly and he was very attentive, kind and respectful! I didn't catch my partners therapists name but she was also amazing! PROS: 1. The massage itself was very relaxing and soothing 2. Both massage therapists were very friendly and made sure we both felt comfortable 3. The vibe in the spa itself and the massage room was really nice, the lighting was low and there was soothing spa music 4. You got to select the scent of the oil that the therapist used which was nice, there was an upgrade option which was CBD oil for $40, but we chose one of the free options instead - I got the lavender which smelt really good 5. We got our massage at 7pm on a Friday night so the spa was completely empty by the time our massage was over, which was amazing because we got the entire area with the hot tubs and salt cave to ourselves so it felt very special 6. The area with the hot tubs and salt cave are beautiful, just like the pictures. 7. There's water bottles available everywhere in small fridges which is nice because relaxing makes you thirsty 8. Amenity area, bathrooms, locker rooms, lounge, etc was all very clean CONS: 1. When we arrived, there was no attendant on the male side of the locker room so my partner didn't get a robe or locker, he entered the couples spa room fully clothed and had to change quickly while I was already in my robe, and he had his bag etc with him instead of in the locker room. He was given a locker after the massage which was fine but I think it's a nice touch to get into the robe in advance, it makes the experience luxurious. 2. It's unfortunate that you only get to enjoy the amenities for one hour before or after your service unless you pay $50 extra for full day access. I thought this was kind of ridiculous because you're already paying an expensive amount for the service. All the spas I've been to give you free access to the amenities for the whole day once you've paid for a service. 3. The area with the two beautiful hot tubs and salt cave are the only co-ed areas, there's no co-ed steam room or sauna which I can understand because people sometimes undress however I came for a couples massage so it would've been nice to enjoy a steam room or sauna with my male partner. I didn't really understand why the salt cave was co-ed but not a sauna or steam room because the salt cave seemed just like a sauna to me. I think they should make a co-ed option with a requirement that guests remain clothed in bathing suits while enjoying the amenity. 4. Upon making our reservation I mentioned to the attendant on the phone that according to the website there was a 20% off discount for March which he told me yes, the price of the couples massage with the discount is 420$. When we checked out we were charged the total (not discounted) price of 500$ which I noticed on the receipt and asked the attendant to correct it to reflect the 20% off. She told me that the 80$ would be refunded to my card which was great but also that they don't apply the discounts automatically that it has to be mentioned at checkout. I just thought this was a weird practice, it was like they were hiding the discount from us which just came off weird to me. Especially because 80$ is a big difference. Anyway, she happily refunded me the difference which I was appreciative of but I still found it odd. Overall, I would definitely come back, however I wouldn't pay full price for a service here and I most likely wouldn't pay an extra 50$ to access the amenities all day unless I was here with my girlfriends and we wanted to spend hours in the saunas, hot tubs, etc. read more

I scheduled an appointment today for me and my wife. My wife gets the massage and I use day pass. I drop off my wife at the hotel valet and waited 30 minutes for someone to never show up and valet my car. I self parkl go to the Spa, for them to say they are at capacity. I had the worst time of my life in this place recently that words cannot explain. I was so disappointed in the total lack of service and hospitality that I'm never going back. They completely forgot that I was in the room waiting to be given a tour of the facilities. I spent almost an hour being ignored & given cold tea to drink which was supposed to be hot only to be left with no choice to go back to the front desk & to ask what happened. The personnel clearly do not care about the their customers. If they did they would certainly treat them better ! I was so much looking forward to this experience that I left without my massage ! In their eyes, they did nothing wrong. As if completely forgetting about a person is normal. I went there early on purpose to experience all the amenities: steam room, jacuzzi, etc. It wasn't until I went to the front desk to complain that they realized what they had done & even then no apology was given - total disappointment !! The whole experience was ruined ! Once it was all said & done I demanded a full refund !! I don't recommend this place at all !! I always find myself wishing that Atlantic City had a Vegas-style "spend the whole day here" spa. And while this place isn't that, it's certainly close. There's a large co-ed area with a huge hot tub, a secondary hot tub off to the side, and a salt room. There are gendered areas as well, with more amenities. I had a massage, with Agnes, and it was terrific. Very relaxing, and she worked out the knots in my back. The only knock on the place is that you can only spend an hour in the spa after your treatment. read more

The Exhale spa in the Ocean Casino used to be the Revel Spa. It was closed for a couple of years and reopened under the Ocean Casino. It definitely shows wear and tear. It was dirty and there was black mold in all the Pools/jacuzzi /hot tubs. They up charge you for everything. I bought a $150 weekday special fusion massage. The masseuse said it was light touch - which means that they rub you down basically. The girl said it would cost $35 more for a medium touch massage. It was just ridiculous And she wasnt very nice. It was also so far away from the entrance of the casino that you had to ride escalators several floors up and walk a while to get there. It was disappointing because i was going to relax, not walk a marathon. I would not recommend it. read more

This is a really beautiful spa. If you go you should definitely take advantage of the hour of time in their facilities--pool, sauna, jacuzzi, etc. it's super clean and beautiful. The staff are nice. I had a decent 'flow' massage. The reason for 3 stars is just that it is SUPER expensive. And while I had a good experience and have done some other super expensive/high end spas.... I didn't find it particularly memorable or exceptional. I went during a low season time... seeing how big it was, I can imagine I would really not like it if it was even half full to capacity... so while I'd go back... I think I'd check out some other options first, especially for the massage. I can imagine all those other spaces could get very busy and full if not low season. read more

Wonderful massage. Huge women's area. They have both women's and men's only spa areas (jacuzzi, hot tub, steam room), as well as a co-ed space with a huge hot tub. You are allowed to use the spa for up to an hour for each service/treatment you get (1 treatment=1 hours, 2 treatments=2 hours, etc). Spa use is after your treatments. Ocean hotel has exceptional service and staff however, this spa does not. The spa itself is beautiful but after coming here for years I can say that the current management needs improvement. When you go to a Spa , especially "the number one spa in NJ", you expect tidiness, aromatherapy & nice smells throughout, professionalism, happiness, positivity and a somewhat of a sense of peace. I received none of this during my most recent visit. Vicki one of the managers, exhibited a great amount of rudeness and was very short with me. Some training in customer service, effective communication, better maintenance practices and attentiveness would be beneficial for the staff of the spa. J'Andra was professional and very polite, the female attendant (I think her name was Stephanie) was great, informative and attentive. The women's Zen lounge felt far from tranquil, reminded me much of a 1980s living room. The TV was playing the Rangers game which was odd because sports are the last thing I'd expect to be playing in a spa. They should update the furniture in there get rid of the TV's and add an indoor fireplace instead. Or dim the lights and make the colors of the room blue / purple. Seems like they don't want people to feel invited to stay long or something. The drink station needs improvement & a better serving location instead of being placed ontop of a flimsy TV stand. It also would have been nice if they offered light snacks such as granola bars or nuts, as many other spas do. While I did appreciate the sign that explains the ingredients and benefits of the three different tea varieties, The tea bags they offer are not individually wrapped (eek) & I had to ignore the fact that everyone's hands pick at them, including the male employee who was restocking it with his bare hands. At a minimum tongs would have been nice. The garbage pails in the co-ed jacuzzi area were over filled above the brim and there were water bottles lying all around the pools. Maintenance really wasn't on top of this at all & it definitely affected the ambiance seeing empty bottles alongside your relaxing soak. The cocktail bar was also closed on a Saturday, which was disappointing. But the refrigerator was well stocked with water bottles. The women's shower was freezing cold!! I had to hop into the one next door and pray that one was warm! Thankfully it was! On a positive note, the vanity sections were very clean and well stocked with towels, soaps, lotion & towels and the bathing suit spinner was a nice touch. But they don't offer one of those for men. The robes aren't thick and plush, they are thin & had a slight oily feeling to them. If they're worried about the robes being stolen they should take a deposit on each item they give out, slippers included and the deposit is not returned until the robes are. Or figure out some sort of system because the robe quality sucks. The co-ed Zen lounge smelled like B.O. (body odor) & probably is in need of a rug shampooing or removal of the rugs. Some more ambiance in there would have been appreciated and also adding more lounge chairs. The salt room was cold & many lights were out behind the walls. The steam room (which I was most excited for) had no smell to it. It would have been nice if there was some sort of essential oils providing aromatherapy in there. They used to fill it with relaxing scents but I guess they stopped and cut back. The sauna had a nice humidity and temperature. Note to self: Never go on a Saturday again because they can't keep up!!! read more

This is my second time here and I would absolutely go back! Massage was wonderful and very thorough, although there was a little bit of noisy construction outside the room but she was super apologetic about that. The amenities are wonderful, with the coed jacuzzi being the largest and most impressive of all of them in my opinion. The showers were really nice, really hot, and good smelling products provided. I will say the only negative was football being played on the tv in the women's lounge.. I can't speak for every woman but that's not the most peaceful thing to put on the tv while waiting for a spa treatment.. Also staff is overall attentive and very nice. Overall wonderful ! I am writing this review with deep disappointment following a distressing experience. My husband had arranged massages and a facial for us as a Valentine's Day treat at this establishment. Despite my anticipation, the morning of our appointment, I woke up with a highly contagious rash, which made it impossible for me to attend. Upon contacting your facility to reschedule, I encountered a concerning lack of understanding and empathy from the manager. Despite explaining my situation and the risk of spreading the contagion, I was met with resistance and insistence that I still attend from the manger of all persons. It was disheartening to feel dismissed and unheard, to be the customer and being the one having explain to the manger who told me to still come in with the rash and that they clean the equipments even though I would be using the springs and all that left me in complete shock I would have thought she would be more concerned than me as of course it is a health hazard. After repeated attempts to convey the urgency of rescheduling and ensuring the safety of both staff and other patrons, I was eventually granted permission to reschedule, with the understanding that I would not incur any charges. However, I was dismayed to discover that my card had been charged nonetheless. Subsequently, when I visited the facility to address the billing discrepancy and express my dissatisfaction, I was met with further disrespect and ridicule from the staff. This unprofessional behavior only exacerbated an already unpleasant situation. my experience at your establishment was deeply disappointing and concerning. The lack of consideration for my health, coupled with poor management and disrespectful treatment from staff, has left me with no choice but to express my dissatisfaction. This weekend I spent much a needed day at the spa during my visit to AC. My mother and I had life aches and this was just the place. We enjoyed the day pass at the bath house. In walking in the spa, we were welcomed warmly by Raina I believe and then greeted by manager J'Andra, also very professional and accommodating. My mother and I departed in our separate spaces, men's room attendant was very professional and informative. He showed me a tour of the space and comfy robes. Very neat and clean quarters. Soon after I met my mother in the co-ed jacuzzi space. It was mostly empty, so it great for us to enjoy with catching up and relaxing. Manager J'Andra walked the space and checked in on our experience. We ordered a nice bottle of wine and light bites. We ordered through Room Service, AYS agent was very friendly and efficient. Promptly, our order arrived all great, but was off put by the added $21 of taxes and gratuities by the hotel. We continued our time together and departed. End of story...not yet! Hours later, I realized before heading to a reservation that I left my wallet in my robe. I reached out to the Exhale team, hopeful that it was found. Not long after, I received a call that one of the team members went the extra mile to sort through a bin of robes. I got there just in time before they closed, they all waited with smiles at the door. I made it to my reservation with enough time. What an experience! Major kudos to J'Andra & her Exhale team. I came here on a Tuesday because they had a weekday special on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They offer a $140 "fusion" massage ($180 regular price) I booked a couples massage which was $140 per person. Upon arriving I was told there was a 20% gratuity automatically applied and my total charge due was $354.56 before I could even enter. I should've left then but I continued to stay. They sent my partner to the male side and myself to the women's side. They call the female attendant over the radio to let her know she has a guest to accommodate. A dark skinned woman with dreads walks up using profanity says. All I been hearing all fxckin day is female attendant, won't they stop coming in already wtf. You can't even make this up. I should've ran outta this place. I'm at a spa to relax!! She shows me how to put the lock on the locker and she walks off. I change my clothes and walk thru many twists and turns to find my partner already in the jacuzzi. He tells me his attendant gave him a tour and showed him everything lol. A tour would've been greatly appreciated. The jacuzzi is literally lukewarm water. It's a nice Instagram worthy photo and NOTHING else! There was bottles of warm spring water sitting out. No fridge or ice to have a cool drink. Tea bags with no sugar or stirrers. This place was a mess. The steam room is turned up so powerful it's impossible to breath in there. I believe all of this is done intentionally. Now it's time for our massage. I change into dry clothing, had to walk around and find the masseuse, my partners and his masseuse smh this was a real sh!t show to say the least. Once we enter the massage room. It's dark and cold. They start pitching an offer to use cbd oil for an additional price. No thank you! I immediately stop her once I noticed the clock is now 10 mins after my massage and ask her am I still getting a 60 min massage because they'll be closing soon. She replies we will do what we can. Meanwhile the other masseuse is still showing my partner different oils to choose from lol this place is such a scam. They take another 5 minutes to start, wash their hands, take their warm up jackets off, just taking their sweet time. Once they finally start, this is theee WORST massage I've ever had in my life. It felt like a rub down with absolutely no pressure. At one point she was massaging my fingers and my cheekbones on my face. I was just hoping it's gonna get better at some point. WRONG. The massage was 30 mins at best. I've never felt so robbed and annoyed in my life. I could've gave that money to a homeless person on the boardwalk and felt better. Do not waste your money. Run!! If you are that curious just buy a day pass. ($99-$120) This place is expensive and overrated unfortunately. Highly doubt I will be returning. Ocean casino should be ashamed for not holding them accountable for the unprofessionalism at minimum, because they are not affiliated with them they do not care.
