I love this store! I came here for the first time last year and got a pair of cute sunglasses. I came here again this year and bought another pair of cute sunglasses. 1 pair for $19 and 2 for $35! This store is filled with cute things from jewelry to greeting cards to purses to mugs to baby onesies! The staff is very nice. It's a great place to pick up a little gift for somebody.

This place reminds me of a place I saw on South St in Philly that also had tons of random trinkets and things you'd see on someone's coffee table and think, "cool". At the moment, they're having a crazy inventory reduction sale, with price cuts of anywhere from 35% to 80% (check out my photo here for the Feb 2014 schedule: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/exit-9-gift-emporium-brooklyn?select=XkR8u5WPwjDjFkBvX8VOHA#XkR8u5WPwjDjFkBvX8VOHA) It's not really a place you could visit every week, but it's a great place for finding gift ideas, or for furnishing a new place with unique knick knacks. It has a very strong Brooklyn vibe as well.

Gift selection in back including some mugs with funny sayibgs.

Incredible lil store of Knick knacks, with an incredibly kind staff. Always recommend this to anyone coming through Brooklyn.

The sales lady was attentive but not annoyingly following me around or anything. She let me do my own shopping until she noticed me looking for children sizes, then she asked if she could help me. She was knowledgeable about the products and over all pleasant. I wish I got her name so I could give her a shot out lol. Would recommend this store if you are looking for cute and unique items for children at a pretty fair price. I ended up with the cutest hat, that my daughter absolutely loved! And a pair of pants that fit her perfectly.

As the name suggests, it's on the smaller side, but they pack in a nice selection of home goods and clothes for all ages, with a clear focus on children's items. You'll find tons of cutesy, well-designed things from several recognizable brands. It's the kind of place where you can pop in and easily find a charming gift or a special outfit for a little one. The quality of what we saw was alright, nothing extraordinary, but perfectly fine, and the prices felt similarly alright, matching the quality you get. It's a sweet, straightforward spot. If you're in the area and looking for something charming for a child, it's definitely worth a quick look inside.

The aesthetic of the shop and the product offering (great fifty items, a lot of local products, fun greeting cards, plants!) is what drew me to follow them. Having a "Visit Ridgewood Day" and and shop and Stay Forever was on my to-do list this spring, but now we're all grounded. I was so happy to see that the owners took a creative way to drum up some business during a very uncertain time but selling all types of care packages. I decided to buy a surprise box for my friend, and she loved it. It included a candle and a gorgeous spring green journal. I ended up buying three more boxes for my friends' children; I cannot wait to see the pics of their loot from Stay Forever. I will definitely be visiting this local women-owned business when things get better.

There's no denying they have a beautifully curated selection of items. it really is a lovely little…read moreshop to browse. However, I had a really frustrating experience recently regarding their return policy. A high-end item was placed in a bucket on the floor, where the price was not visible and the price sign of a neighboring item was visible instead of that particular item. Because the store was crowded, and they don't print receipts, I didn't catch the massive price jump at the register until after I paid. When I immediately went back inside to return the item and explain the misleading signage setup, I was told they only offer store credit or gift cards- No refunds. For an independent local boutique, a completely inflexible 'No refund' policy for an honest, immediate mistake leaves a really bad taste in your mouth. If you shop here, just be sure to double-check the price of absolutely everything at the register before you hand over your payment, because once they have your money, you are stuck with it. UPDATE: The owner publicly responded with a smooth, passive-aggressive spin claiming they are 'totally flexible' and that returns are always allowed. However, she then privately messaged me a completely different story, admitting: 'While we do have a no refund policy... we do issue refunds for same day returns.'So, my original review was entirely accurate. The owner lied publicly to save face while admitting the truth in my DMs. She also condescendingly noted that the 'great thing about shopping small' is that the owners are 'one short email away.' But who should have to track down an owner's email inbox just to get basic, standard customer service? A customer shouldn't have to do extra labor to bypass an untrained staff member. The owner privately admitted she left two completely brand-new employees working totally solo during a hectic weekend shift. Leaving untrained staff alone to run a busy store isn't 'flexibility'--it's a massive management failure that directly results in misleading pricing and stressed-out customers and employees. While she privately apologized, the fact remains that their system is broken. It is not convenient for me to travel back to Ridgewood to fix a store error. I am keeping the item, but the review stays up as a historical record of terrible management.
