I tried shopping at different times of day in the hopes of finding better stock of items. Dairy is inconsistent and a few years back I raised my concern that organic milk was often empty. As of late, milk is scattered and cottage cheese is often barely in stock, and forget about finding Good Culture in stock. This is weird because I found the Target around the corner having 50-60 containers in stock all the time. Produce has gotten messy. Today, only one bunch of leeks remaining and not in good condition. There were barely any bunches of celery with the ones remaining being messy. Parsnips were stark and not labeled. I tried to create a price label at the scale, but you aren't able to search. I asked a worker and he told me he didn't know. Ham was non-existent. I wanted to find the packages of diced ham or a ham steak - none in stock. It's kind of weird because then I see really nice packages of meat going at reduced prices because they haven't sold, and often quite a few packages. So it seems some departments overstock while others never seem to stock. For years I've really liked the store, but they can't seem to keep up with the demand for the population in the area. Sad.

Better quality on items like blueberries, dates, apples, all vegetables, etc. Better prices on so many items at Costco and ShopRite. I wish someone would come in and replace Stop & Shop so we can get the benefit of a good store in that space. Its the largest retail location in town and it is less than mediocre in every way. I notice many of the other reviews seem to have the same complaints as I have listed. Some of the staff is nice but some are very disrespectful. It is not fun to get food into your house and then try to enjoy it knowing you were overcharged at the register for it. And the service desk is usually left completely unattended, so going back to resolve issues is not a viable option.

With the Prime cart, you log into your Amazon account, select your payment method, scan the QR code from the barcode on the cart and start shopping. You will still have to scan your items because the alarm on the cart will ring if anything is placed in there without being scanned. It's based on weight. There are tons of merchandise items in here (including farm raised meats and organic veggies) and the produce is super fresh and tasty. When checking out with your Prime cart, you won't get into a regular line, you'd go under the dash cart lane. Your receipt is emailed and just like that, you're outta there! No more waiting in long lines. It's genius but also a little too futuristic for me right now lol. I'd certainly recommend this shopping experience though.

It felt like I was being racially profiled, as she appeared to alert other staff to keep an eye on me and my girlfriend. We were simply shopping in casual clothing (sweats and slippers), and there was no reason to suspect us of anything inappropriate. Because of how uncomfortable the situation became, we decided to cut our shopping short and only purchased a banana. At checkout, I explained what had happened to the cashier and even asked whether theft of a $3.99 tote bag was really such a concern. It was frustrating to feel judged over something so minor, especially when we had no intention of doing anything wrong. Overall, the experience left us feeling disrespected and unwelcome. I hope management addresses this, as no customer should feel profiled or uncomfortable while simply trying to shop.
