Recently, I located Exotic Grill while in search of some jollof rice while working nearby. Just off the highway in Euless, Exotic Grill is a small establishment with some fairly good flavors. Ordering to-go was smooth. As far as the jollof itself, it was just okay in my opinion. It gave off the spice level, however was missing other flavor profiles which make jollof, jollof. Small Congolese restaurant with great food. It's always fresh and hot and made to order. They have good service are always polite. The ambiance reminds me of restaurants back in Cameroon which is where I'm from. I highly recommend their chicken, ribs and fish. The jollof rice is also delicious. read more

Stopped by Friday night w/ my mom and we enjoyed the food. I ordered the goat plate w/ plantains and it was delicious. My mom had the Makayabo w/ sombe and pounded yam. A few of the items on the menu weren't available which was disappointed. Clean place. Fally Ipupa in the background- can't go wrong with that. The owner was our hostess, server, cook, and cashier. I'm soooo full. My chest is hurting but it's all worth it. I've been past this place so many times in the past but I finally stopped by to eat today. I tried a little of everything. This place is really good. Most of the clientele when I was in there were expats from Nigeria/West Africa so the food HAD to be good. Thankfully they dont Americanize the menu so it's actually delicious and not a watered down version of West African dishes like you get at so many other places. Spicy means spicy here. Plus, Ms. Victoria is a very sweet lady and definitely knows what she is doing. I got the curry goat and was VERY happy with that decision. Definitely will stop by next time I'm in town. read more

We were just passing through since our flight had been delayed. This is probably one of the best restaurants we've been to. The grilled mackerel and grilled ribs were delicious and the service was amazing. The owner came to check on us a few times, and even suggested spinach and gave us a bit of goat stew to try. I usually am not big on goat, but this was the most delicious goat ever. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely come here! read more

Let's start by saying the food was great overall, the wait time was a tad long but for the authenticity of the food I wasn't surprised. Now the oxtail stew was freezing cold in the middle for it to be so expensive. The overall service was amazing. They were extremely nice but next time, we won't be dining in. There's also no point in tipping because they already add a service fee to your bill. The restaurant was very "do it yourself". I had the large red snapper with spinach since I'm doing low carb. My date had goat stew, egusi, and pounded yam. The snapper was fried while and seasoned well. This place is so special. Today I tried the stewed goat and spicy okra. Excellent. I assumed the okra was going to be fried because it's always fried, right? Haha well this wasn't, but once again the flavors were so perfect it didn't matter how the okra was cooked bc it was going to be good! It wasn't spicy, just super tasty. And the goat!!!
