Amazing food and service 10/10! I loved the environment and the owner made me feel at home.

When I go to Nigerian restaurants, I'm often worried about long waits and not-so-great service, even though I'm Nigerian American myself. During my last visit, I ordered ahead and it took me about 25 minutes drive, which wasn't too bad. The person who took my order was nice, which was a pleasant surprise compared to what I expected. I ordered two portions of suya and two shawarmas, costing a bit over $40. The shawarma was okay in size, but it didn't really stand out. It satisfied my cravings, but nothing more. Now, the suya was a letdown. It had too much oil and lacked that real suya flavor. The taste of curry was too strong, overshadowing the authentic suya taste. Plus, there were way too many onions compared to the meat. I'd rate the suya a 4 out of 10 for the effort. On the other hand, the shawarma, though of an average size, was pretty tasty. It was spicy, so you'll need a drink to handle the heat. I'm giving a three-star rating for both the food and the service, also appreciating that they're open on Sundays. I've tried suya and shawarma in many places around the DFW area, and I think this place can do better. If they work on improving the spice mix for the suya and balance out the meat and onions, it would make a big difference and bring them up to the level of other spots in the area. read more

Over priced for the portion and they have a minimum $20 they make you spend. It is Not worth the flavor or texture of the meat. Would rather to go kemis or suya university up the road if kemis is out! read more

Not a huge menu, but a very flavorful one! Listen when they say the asun is spicy. It will light you up! The jollof rice was incredibly flavorful with a bit of kick all its own. This spot is amazing! This is literally the best suya spot I have been to. The spices are fused into the beef. The beef is very tender and thin. They add onions, tomatoes, and green peppers. I am really impressed! It is definitely authentic suya. Their shawarma is also bomb! The flavors burst in your mouth from the first bite. They don't sacrifice quality for quantity. Came here and got a beef suya. Service was easy and quick. I ordered $10 worth of suya with extra onions and light spice. So finding the place was a bit of a struggle for me because it is in an open shopping area. Nevertheless I found it, when I entered I was greeted kindly by a gentleman. He asked me what I wanted and I let him know that this was my first time here. He Was very patient taking my order when I glanced at the menu quickly simply because I know what I came for, which was suya. Also do not expect to be mistreated (typical thought of African/Caribbean restaurants), The gentleman was very nice to me. So I ended up ordering suya & shawarma. The food was prepared freshly after I ordered. I was not in a rush, and the food took around 10 to 15 minutes to finish. So I finally get home taste the suya and it's great! He asked me if I wanted onions added and I said yes, very happy I said yes because the suya was delightful. The Shawarma was all right, it had beef inside and I believe a sausage slice which was different. I've never had Shawarma with a sausage slice inside. The Shawarma was also stuffed with vegetables which tasted like coleslaw to me, but was good. Personally I would not order the Shawarma again or maybe try it with a different meat because this one seem to be overly stuffed with vegetables. Overall I would rate this restaurant and recommend others to try the food. I did not get to take pictures because I was starving by the time I remembered to snap a photo. This place serves the most authentic Suya I have ever tasted, however, they can do better with the amount of fat that's included in the portion size. Suya should be all beef, not fat. Out of the 15 pieces of meat, only about 6 were real meat, the rest was all fat. I have expressed my concern the few times I've been there and but the issue keeps reoccurring. I thought to give it another go and i was disappointed once again. I absolutely enjoy their suya but this here is an absolute deal breaker. If I could give this place a zero trust me I would. Don't get me wrong they tasted good, and the spice was just right, BUTTT the amount of fat that was in there was unbelievable. I understand that Suya had meet but bruh there is some kind of meat on there at least. It was as if she gave me the last pieces meat she had up there. we were in Arlington over the weekend and it has more naija restaurants than Dallas from what we have noticed. for African food we seem to see more Ethiopian restaurant in Dallas. anyway we wanted suya. the shop is small. it had a sitting area if u want to stay and eat and YouTube videos playing naija music. when we got there one customer was eating. a young man greeted us and we told him it was our first time here. he brought us a $5.00 sample. then we placed our order from there. the meat was so tender and spicy! I asked about asun and ram suya but was told there was none. I agree with another poster the portions seemed small, but overall the taste and customer service makes up for it. probably calling your order ahead is the way to go, because after we order we watched him place the meat on the grill, and cook it. Late review...I love Suya and stopped in for a quick bite after grocery shopping. I don't quite understand the concept of no menu and no pricing ANYWHERE. This makes me quite skeptical that maybe there is secret pricing or something . I ordered the Suya only, as I wasn't inclined to spend anymore money as the young lady seemed annoyed with me for asking about pricing and what items they sold. I usually don't write reviews but this place deserves one. I went to visit my friends in Dallas and I wanted suya so I googled Suya spots in Dallas and we went there. The guy gave us free samples and drinks to know the quantity of one order. Customer service is A+....The Suya is soo delicious!!!! Finger licking good, delicious and authentic, just like naija Suya. Top 5 suya I've tasted in the area. Servings are kind of small, but the service is good and they'll let you taste it before you buy.

The suya was pretty good. They only had beef. It's not clear how the prices work. What I do know is that I paid $20 and expected more for my money than I got. If you use a card there is a service fee that they fail to mention. It's totally fine that they charge that but I didn't like that they just didn't say anything about.
