Note, the website states they close 30 min before closing, yet when you go in they state they close at 5:15p on Sunday when the close time is 6:00p. I understand being busy so I came back after waiting a prolonged period earlier in the day for inquiry/service. There seems to be an "organized chaos" method for how the premium piercing rings are displayed which is off putting. There was limited information (when asked) pertaining to metal quality which is important for people with sensitivity. I've patronized this establishment in the past and was disappointed in the somewhat lackadaisical attitude of staff today. It only takes one bad encounter to lose a customer and generate a bad review. I will gladly spend more money with the more professional establishment West Ashley...that can also speak for the quality of their piercing selections. I had a daith piercing put back in by Exotic Impressions. It is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional that they sold me a $130 gold earring that didn't even work for my daith. It fell out twice, and when I went back both times the staff were not friendly. Neither of the piercing staff introduced themselves and no one (other than one staff member who welcomes when you walk in) even smiles - just dreadful. At least the first piercing artist spoke, the woman I saw today was rude and barely said a word. And to top it off they had to put a different daith earring in because the one they put in twice wasn't the right size??! so I've been through this pain three times now!! i highly recommend Piercing Perfection. very clean & small shop, easy to get in & get out. very reasonable prices. i've gotten many many piercings here. however, i've also received multiple botched piercings from here, most notably my navel & eyebrow. i received second opinions on all of these piercings, and my assumptions turned out to be correct. i also do tend to have problems with every piercing i get here, for example the starting jewelry being incompatible with a brand new piercing (aka too short for swelling) however, i think my experiences may be isolated. it really depends on who does your piercing. i do enjoy the interactions with the piercers here, they are all very professional and nice. all of their licenses are displayed which makes me feel safe & confident. overall i would still recommend. i would especially recommend amanda & rhys! read more

My cousin and I decided to get our ears pierced on a whim, and apparently in South Carolina tattoo parlors are separate from piercing [parlors?] establishments. Just an FYI if you are an out-of-towner! I've been living here a while now but just never knew. Anywho, we chose this place over that highly rated piercing place in West Ashley mainly due to price, and this place had decent reviews too. So off we go... Overall this is a pretty decent place to get your ears pierced. When we called before hand, we discussed prices, but they made no mention that it was cash only. So when we got there, we immediately had to walk out to go find an ATM. It would have been nice if they had mentioned it in the phone. So we go get cash and come back. The lady at the front was pretty nice, not very chatty, but she did let us see her dermal piercings which were pretty sweet. Signing paperwork was pretty easy, and pricing was fair. I think I paid $40 for two (2nd hole) lobe piercings including paying a little extra for nicer earrings. And of course I added tip to that later, so more than 40 when you add tip. That's a pretty good price. We didn't have to wait since we went at a slow time of day, but as we were leaving the people started filling in. Our gal who did our piercings was professional but not particularly warm or that friendly. She did a very nice job with placing my holes and she did a good job with my cousin's industrial. No mishaps. Smooth sailing. We were in and out of there in less than an hour (including having to go find an ATM). Overall, I had a decent experience at this place, and it was very clean. I looked at several piercing parlors in the Charleston area as options for where to get my daith and rook pierced. I went with Exotic Impressions because the idea of going downtown and fighting with parking makes me need a xanax and Summerville is like driving to Columbia (you know it's true). I went in during the week and told the piercer what I'd like to have done. She said that she wasn't experienced with what I wanted (a rook and daith combined) and she suggested coming back on a day the owner was there so he could do it, if he would. I said ok. I came back the day she suggested and he fully explained to me why he wasn't comfortable doing the piercing I wanted (which he had done originally) and suggested an alternative idea instead. I respected the fact that the first piercer was honest with me and suggested waiting. I'd rather wait and get what I want then someone who doesn't feel comfortable possibly make a mistake! I also really appreciated the fact that the owner didn't bullshit me. He gave me a full explanation why he wouldn't do that piercing that way again and I didn't feel like he was just trying to talk me out of it. When it came to the actual piercing, he was quick about it. If you have a piercing of any sort, you know they aren't comfortable, but this wasn't extremely painful. I had worked myself up to expect so much more pain. Everything was clean and sterile. Great experience. I'll definitely be back for any more piercing needs and jewelry! read more

Not sure what was going on yesterday...went in for a couple jewelry changes....I had an appointment and still waited over and hour just to change jewelry.....after an hour I noticed that one of the balls came out.... Just got my nose stud replaced with a hoop. They were very nice and helpful. Clean shop and he sterilized everything before changing out my jewelry. The first hoop he put in was a little too big so he switched it for a smaller one and let me keep the bigger one too. The prices are a lot cheaper than where I'm from. Came in and was greeted kindly by a nice lady. Everything was straight forward and prices were affordable. Dylan tapered my septum because I wasn't sure if my piercing was still open. This was great cause I didn't have to go through that healing process again. I also got a nostril piercing which he made super easy. He also checked my double conch piercing to see if the holes were still open and put new jewelry in for me. He was kind and made me feel comfortable and informed. He was patient with me as I wasn't sure if some of my piercings needed to be re-pierced or just new jewelry installed. Would definitely visit again. I attempted to put it in when I got in the car and went back inside to let them her know it was the wrong size. The sales woman and the manager refused to exchange the ring or give me a refund. Well to start off I got my septum pierced a week ago. I woke up the other morning and the end ball had fell off. I tried calling and every time it went to voicemail. When I finally got ahold of the place they said I couldn't come on because they were busy. Just to remind you I just needed a ball to go on the end. So I had to go a whole day without a ball and that caused the whole piercing to fall out. Since it fell out I couldn't get it back in. So I called again and they said "oh just come in and we can get it back in and a new ball." So I go in and they wanna charge me to put it back in. Wtf I don't think I should have to pay for them to put it back in when they didn't tighten it and caused it to fall out. Definitely won't be going back here. read more

This place is poppin! Been here the past two weekends in a row, both Sarurday early evenings, for some piercings for myself and my husband. There was about an hour wait each time so plan accordingly. The first weekend i got Rhease as my piercer and he was great. Really made me feel at ease and let me know each time he was about to do something. I hot 3 piercings and all 3 are in great shape so far! The second weekend my husband got Kate for getting started on gauging his ears. She was super knowledgable and passionate about what she was doing. Both piecers worked very quickly which is a plus when people are shoving needles through your body and wvruyhong turned out great. The front desk staff was super sweet too and answered all our questions. Lastly, pricing was super reasonable!! Got my conch pierced here and don't remember the girls name but she did not know what she was doing. Watched the video afterwards and she literally took the needle out of my ear before putting the jewelry in, and then put it back in??? Took 3 minutes just to put the jewelry in my ear and her hands were so shaky. I had no idea she took the needle out and put it back in until I watched the video, but that's definitely not supposed to happen. Made it excruciating for me, and my piercing looks good but I'll probably never get one again because of that experience. :) read more

The establishment is clean and even when busy the person in the back room doing the piercings still takes their time to go over tips you may need in the near future for the healing process so that you don't feel rushed out without any knowledge on caring for your piercing.
