    Matte nails!

Really roughed up my cuticles after a while. Had to stop going. 1 lady kept hurting me. I told her 2x. Had to warn her I'd get up & leave if she drilled across my cuticle again She understood NOT PAY.

Was driving by with my sister and took a chance because I NEEDED that "post quarantine" pedi. I was surprised they were able to see us right away without an appointment. Dat did my nails, he was great. You could tell he tries not to touch your feet unnecessarily to not tickle them. It's hard to explain the not touching and giving you a pedicure thing but he did an amazing job. Very detail oriented. Will definitely go back and request him.

Exotic Nails is the ONLY nail salon i go to. Quinn in THE BEST in town and gets it right EVERY time. I've been seeing her for close to two years now and I refuse to ever see anyone else. She can do anything you want, any design in any color(s) & kills it EVERY TIME!!! I get dip powder and it's perfect every time- no bumps or streaks or chips. I get compliments on EVERY set i've ever done & always tell them to visit Quinn at Exotic- you won't be disappointed.

A spectacular nail for the sparkly night I'm about to have

I came here after a recommendation from coworker. The yelp reviews aren't real. This place is so clean, nice and the techs are talented. I go to Quinn who is the bomb.com. She is so easy to talk to and executes all that I need.

Don't go here. My pretty color turned brown, they refused to refund my credit card, blaming it on something I did (I've done nothing out of the ordinary). I've never had this happen at my normal place and came here because I was in a hurry, I live locally and spent $75 on a shellac Mani/pedi. They offered to redo them but I don't have time nor do I want this to happen again. My friends nails were also poorly done.

    Horrible pedicure

Worst nail experience of my life. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Went here with my friend and it was not busy. I got a regular pedicure and my friend got a pedicure and dipping powder manicure. The place was dirty, nobody was friendly, and they don't even give a good mani or pedi. Nail tech was NOT friendly. Never spoke to me or even smiled. She was very aggressive when rubbing my feet to the point it hurt. And this is the worst part! Please look at the photo attached to see for yourself. I don't understand how a "professional" nail tech could do that horrible of a job. I mean seriously? A 2 year old could've done better than that. She did not file my toes evenly, she picked way too hard at my skin, and the polish is a MESS! Looks like she painted my toes with her eyes closed. I'm still in awe that someone would look at that and think it's ok. My friend's pedicure wasn't as bad as mine, but still hers was not good. They filed her toes and left them crooked! Her dipping powder mani took SO long because her nail tech seemed to not know what she was doing because she got the dip powder stuck on her skin! So then she was aggressively scraping it off of her skin and she didn't even get all of it off. And, they totally ripped her off. She paid $50 for just her dip mani (she didn't even get any removed, or get nail extensions!) and from reading all of the reviews here, it seems like that should cost $40 NOT $50 for a sloppy manicure. Do not go here unless you want a sloppy manicure, rude nail techs, and a dirty salon. I know my friend and I will never come here again.

Full set acrylics with white tips.

I got an acrylic full set and a pedicure for a wedding I'm standing up in this weekend. This place had the most reasonable prices. Manicure- My full set with white tips came to $27. Daughter did it and was done very thorough. She matched the white tips to each finger so they were all the same size. She asked me multiple times what I wanted and verified to make sure I was happy before moving on to the next part. Pedicure- $25. Mother did it. Was done well, except I just saw now (the next day) my big toe has wrinkled paint and idk how. I wish she did more of the massage part because that's my favorite. The massage chair seat didn't work, but the back did. Now this is something a customer has to tell them because they wouldn't know otherwise. Environment- Definitely could use a spruce up. However they had Ellen on and they were laughing, as was I, to the show. Very nice and friendly staff! After looking up a thousand nail salons prior, I'd recommend this place.

Today I went to exotic nails and spa for the first time. I didn't have an appointment, and I was taken right away. I went in for a shellac manicure and a pedicure. I was seated at the pedicure chair, which had many massage options. There was not a liner in the tub, but it did appear to be clean. The water was barely warm, but I didn't say anything about it, so that is on me. While trimming my cuticles, my technician, who I believe was named Lynn, did cut one of my toes slightly, and apologized. No big deal, it happens. I didn't notice until I got home, but the polish looks pretty thin, and she should have probably put a third coat of color on them. After my pedicure, I was taken to manicure station. I hadn't had a chance to look through the shellac colors yet, so Lynn brought over three rings with color samples on them. I chose a pretty army green color. I had shellac on my nails from my previous manicure, and the technician used an electric file to sand off the old shellac. Then she applied nail polish remover and foil. After a few minutes she took the foil off and scraped my nails, a little too roughly for my liking. Then she again used the electric file and took off more of the shellac. Unfortunately, I believe she sanded down past the polish and then sanded my nails also. My nails were already in somewhat rough condition from getting acrylics and poorly done fills a few times in a row.... However it had been several weeks, and I was growing them out to so that soon I would have new growth and healthy nails. Unfortunately after this my nails are so thin that when she was buffing them it did hurt a little bit. Then she proceeded to polish my nails, during which her hands were extremely shaky. I'm not sure if she has a health condition, or if she'd had too much caffeine, but she didn't look nervous. The polish job, after three coats, ended up looking fairly decent, however there are areas on the edge of my nails which are not covered, and areas where there is polish on my skin. The worst part for me, is that now my nails are extremely thin, and they are rough on the ends. In fact, when I put my scarf on as I was leaving I snagged my scarf with my nail. At that point I asked her to fix that one, and she did file it. However after getting in my car I noticed that all of my nails are somewhat jagged. I was there for so long, that I just decided to go home and file them myself. I didn't want to be there any longer than I already was. The technician did not rush through the manicure, and seemed to be rather focused, going back over my cuticles a couple times, and looking back over the polish before putting my hands under the lights, but when she filed my nails to shape them, she didn't clean them up and every one had jagged bits underneath. I feel a bit bad leaving this review, as the technician was nice enough, but I am really disappointed with the results after spending my time and money today.

Mediocre nail salon. Went there for the first time two weeks ago for a shellac mani. I was pleased with the results. Only downside on the visit was that the salon smelled so heavily of chemicals. I went again yesterday for a shellac color change. It was easily the worst shellac I've ever had done. The lady had to wipe polish off of my skin after every coat. I've never had a nail tech be so bad at painting nails. I attached pictures that show how poorly they were painted. I tried here because it's so close to my house, but I'd rather drive further for better results.

I had Tina as the nail tech and she was so nice & did such a wonderful job on my nails!! the whole experience was great and the price was too!! would reccomend!

Quinn created an amazing glow in the dark blue and pink acrylic overlay that she created on the spot it's a week old in this pic.

I got the Dip Powder set and am very pleased. My nails turned out gorgeous. My nail artist was very nice and gentle as I pick the skin around my nails. She was sure to make my nails straight and even and buffed down any bumps or sharp edges! Best dip powder I've gotten so far and only $40 I was very satisfied with my visit! Also it only took about 30 minutes.

Meh don't bother. Got a manicure with a friend. Mine looks horrible and she took hers off by the end of the day because it was bubbling up. It wasn't super nice inside and not the friendliest experience either.

Response to owners reply on Google: Original post first,…read morethen read my reply: Original post : I am very disappointed with my experience at this Wellness Spa. I was overcharged for a simple consultation fee, and the value of the service did not match the price. What made matters worse was the attitude of the owner--aggressive, unprofessional, and dismissive when I questioned the charges. Before arriving, I had even called the day before to confirm the $75 consultation fee, yet I was still overcharged. When I raised concerns, the owner's response was aggressive, unprofessional, and dismissive. She even went so far as to say my "energy" was wrong--despite not being in the front of the building when I arrived, and only reviewing me over cameras. It felt more like she was defending the receptionist, who had already given me incorrect information, rather than addressing the real issue. I admit I did walk out due to price change, refusing to pay the remaining amount because it went from $75-$85 dollars. The receptionist was wrong and I can prove it. It only made matters worse. The owner definitely was aggressive about her coins and I'm not upset about that is business but it's how you conduct business. From my perspective, the pricing appears less about the quality of care and more about covering the cost of a high-end location, expensive equipment, and the "luxury" image the spa wants to project. Unfortunately, this comes at the expense of fairness and customer trust. I later discovered that I am not alone--many other customers have also reported being overcharged and experiencing the same unprofessional behavior from the owner. I came expecting a professional and relaxing wellness experience, but instead left feeling frustrated, disrespected, and financially taken advantage of. Until major changes are made in both management and customer service, I cannot recommend this spa. Reply: The consultation I booked was clearly listed as 1 hour, not 30 minutes--and I can prove this with the time slot I scheduled. To say otherwise is misleading. Additionally, I would never sit and tell my "life story." That is a complete fabrication. What I expected was a professional consultation, not personal storytelling. And on the subject of professionalism, as an aesthetic provider, it is standard practice to present your skin honestly so clients can see real results. Wearing full makeup during a consultation undermines credibility--clients should be able to see your actual skin, not rely only on pictures. For the record, this was never about money. I could have easily paid the amount twice over. The issue is with integrity and how clients are treated. The deposit itself even changed from $75 to $85, which raises serious concerns about consistency in your business practices. As a business owner myself, I know that if a front desk staff member makes an error, the professional response is to "eat the cost," not push it onto the client. Also, let's be clear: the fact that you changed your consultation policy afterward speaks volumes. If everything was as smooth and clear as you claim, there would be no reason to change your policy. Clearly, there have been several complaints about consultation pricing and inconsistencies, otherwise your policy would have stood as it was. Instead of addressing those issues, you're deflecting by accusing me of being rude--when in reality, your tone as the owner came across as aggressive and unprofessional. Lastly, I was not rude at all during my visit. Respect goes both ways, and just because someone is the "owner" does not excuse being dismissive toward clients.

I had a less than satisfactory experience with…read moreone of the massage therapists, it was a very strange massage and was unlike anything I had previously experienced there. First the essential oils placed under my face gave me quite a migraine. I have a herniated disc in my neck which I acknowledge that sometimes that could be an issue but for me this has never been a problem during massages. For some reason she placed several, and I mean several, hot towels on my neck which was immediately pretty painful as this was heavy to be placed with heat on a herniated disc, no matter how healed. Then she quite literally covered me in lotion, like a ridiculous amount where I couldn't even get dressed, barely touched me and ran out of the room, almost before I could even ask her for a towel (I was literally drenched in lotion) and before the session was supposed to be over. So I was left in more pain plus a migraine with a shortened session and covered in lotion, and I did notice that she didn't greet me afterwards to offer me water and make sure I'm doing good like they usually do here. This was all very strange and bizarre, but I assumed maybe this had to do with inexperience and wanted to leave feedback as to why this wasn't the best experience, especially since this is a luxury service that wasn't cheap. The owner called me the next day, and she was genuinely one of the most hostile and unpleasant people I had ever talked to. I am not a confrontational person, and I do think I was being reasonable in leaving feedback. She called me and told me that there is absolutely no way that any of this happened, and that she "welcomes me to not return". I told her that this was unfortunate to hear because I had such positive experiences in the past there, to which she told me I didn't go there enough times to have that much of an opinion. She kept telling me that I am more than welcome to not return, and at this point I wasn't going to but I just wanted her to tell me directly that she was banning me from returning for having a negative experience. She was avoiding saying explicitly that I could not return, but she kept insisting I was welcome to go elsewhere. I told her I would probably leave a review of the situation, to which she said "well that's not very nice of you". I told her it's not very nice to ban me for expressing concerns with my session. She hung up the phone abruptly, and the next day another staff member called and offered to reschedule me with someone else. I politely declined. I also want to mention that the ramp to get in the door is extremely inaccessible, I am a wheelchair user and it's borderline hazardous the way it is oriented. If I am to open the door, I have to be on the ramp which is difficult, or the door will push me down the stairs. If you use a mobility aid or have chronic pain I would not recommend, not because of the staff but 100% because of the owner.

I've driven by this place probably thousands of times since they open 3 years ago. It's on my way in to and from work. I take Southfield road pretty much every day. It caught my eye when it first opened up as I'm a huge fan of thai massage and still remember some of my best massages that I received were all in Thailand. I realize the cost of an hour massage here is about three times more than I would've paid in Thailand though. It's was so dark in the lobby, I thought that Thai herbal massage was closed even though I had an appointment tonight. Someone did come out and to the desk and told me that my therapist would be coming out. She did a minute or so later. No paperwork here. This woman took me to a room, it's much bigger than I would have thought. She asked if I knew what I needed to do and I said yes. I confirmed that she wanted me face down and she said yes. She told me there's a hook on the back of the door for my jacket. She exited and I got ready for my massage. Ka, my massage therapist came and knocked on my room to ask if I was ready. I told her I was. She came in right at the start of my appointment time, nice. Ka put a hot cloth on feet, used it to rub and clean my feet, felt good. She later used other hot cloths for my shoulder, upper chest, arms, legs and back area. Partly for a quick cleaning from the oils and to give a last bit of soothing massage. It felt really comforting and warm and calming. Ka's pressure was great, she mixed up her pressure too, from light touches to much deeper massage work. She would use her fingers, legs, knees, heel of her palm, elbows and knuckles. She stretched me out well too. She was barefooted so she could easily and nimbly move around the bed and work around and sometimes kneeling on top of my legs or back. Don't be worried but this is normal for a Thai massage. Also, they do some glute (yes, your bum) work so be sure to let the therapist know any areas you don't want massaged at all, mine is the head. Not cool with anyone touching my head with greasy fingers and let Ka know, she stayed away from my head the whole hour. This is probably one of the best deep tissue massages I've had outside of Thailand, that's sad, but so true. I will definitely be back. This was truly a deep tissue massage and exactly what I wanted. The stretching was great too. I already wanted to have another massage tomorrow. I was thinking how great it would be to get a massage from Ka every week. That would be so great. Just a follow-up, had a great and deep sleep after my massage last night. I was still so well relaxed by bedtime that I feel asleep. I don't usually sleep through the night normally at all.
