There's plenty of plants to see and merchandise to buy. Most importantly, it's organized and the plants seem happy. However, the prices aren't the cheapest - I've seen better at other nurseries in the Carlsbad area. I was personally looking for fruit trees and there was a limited amount of varieties to choose from. Overall, I enjoyed walking through the garden center on my way out of the flower fields.

This location is like the others that I have been to. Clean, airy, bright (plenty of windows letting sunlight in). I have shopped at this location several times, staff is friendly, nice selection of cookware, dishes, glasses, silverware, cooking utensils, mixes, spices, etc. I have taken 2 cooking classes there. Including a class for Steak, Salad, Mousse. It was fun, and informative. Class was a little over 2 hours. We were taught by a renowned chef who walked us through every step in the process. See attached pictures, but in the end, we had a delicious meal prepared by all 4 of us at our station. We also got a discount to use that day on any items we purchased. In addition we were emailed the recipe and ingredient list, and a coupon on a future class. I recommend a class if you have time.

I'm glad I found out about the cooking classes when I just happened to be in the store. There was a schedule for that month posted on the back wall near the restrooms. I immediately wanted to take a baking class then ended up taking several classes like Knife Skills, Intro to Sushi, Delicious Dim Sum, Tamale Making just to name a few. When I was inside the store, the staff were always very friendly and helpful. The chefs were consistently amazing to learn from. They were great with walking the class through the steps and answering our questions at the same time. I loved their team approach...having us work in a group or in a pair depending on the capacity in the kitchen. An added bonus was taking the recipes home. I remember a few years back it was nice to sit down as a class, eat together and socialize; but nowadays, I noticed we've been taking our dishes home. I wonder if it recently went back to how it was originally. Anyway, I always had a fun time cooking, learning something new and meeting people. Delivery was smooth they showed up on time and were able to bring everything into the backyard and AJ went above and beyond and helping style to make our backyard cozy. They didn't have the side table that came with my set in stock at the time of delivery, but they let me choose another one and I picked up at the store at a later time. I didn't even think about using Skyler's because I assumed it would be out of my budget, but I'm really happy with my purchase and now our backyard is cozy and usable. When arriving, I went to the restroom to pee (I am 67 and have prostate issues, and just wanted to be comfortable while I shopped) and, seeing a sign on both the outside and inside that said "Please keep the door shut - because of A/C" and seeing a lock, I locked the door for privacy (too). There is just urinal and one stall. When I was standing at the urinal there was suddenly the loudest banging on a door I'd ever heard in my life. I thought it must be some kind of emergency so I went, holding my pants up, since I didn't have time to zip them. I opened it, and said "What's up?!" and the young man with dark green Green Thumb shirt - heavyset, brown hair, 30/40-ish? - said very aggressively, yelling, "It's a public restroom, that's why theres more than one stall !!!" and proceeded to wash in the sink for 5 minutes or so (I retreated to the stall to try and finish my business). So... because there' a urinal and a stall you are not supposed to lock it? Why is there a lock? I don't get it... He must have either been having a very very bad day, was mentally unbalanced, or just a ver very angry person. I was in shock. I think it's time to find another nursery...

They carry a huge variety of tree, berries, grapes, and although the plants cost more than your big box store but there is a huge difference in quality. Large selection of roses in late May, early June. It's fun to shop here. Some of the nursery has uneven ground or loose gravel so be mindful. We were able to add these half hour after making the candle. So there is a bit of a wait to let the candle settle after making it but we just walked around a bit and still were able to take out candles home same day. There is a two day wait after making it until you can use it. It's totally worth it. So much fun!

I mixed mango coconut and pineapple together and it smelled so good! We threw some glitter into the soy wax mix because obviously we had to and we even got to design our own labels which turned out so cute. The candle needed an hour to cool so we went off and explored the area and then came back to top them off with some stones. They turned out so pretty omg! The price was worth it! Oh and since I was giving mine as a gift one of the staff members tied a little ribbon on my bag without me even asking which was such a sweet touch. But the person pricing the trees, whom I think was the owner, had bad attitude/customer service. We were literally the only customers there and after we bought our tree we asked for a picture and she said she couldn't help us snap a photo because she was busy. Poor customer service to a customer she knew already bought a tree, stand and bag. I wanted to support a small business but not when you can't take ten seconds to help your only customer.
