I'm an hourly worker: I lost 2.5 hours of pay and gave up an important religious obligation that day, all for an appointment the doctor couldn't be bothered to keep on time. Being made to wait an hour while the physician sits in the next room isn't a "busy day" -- it's a complete disregard for the patient's time. I would not recommend this provider and am filing a formal complaint. If you value your time, think twice before booking here.

The doctor that did my test on a later date stated that there was absolutely no reason the first doctor shouldn't have done it.

I said "so you let me fill out paperwork....PAY....and sit to then tell me you cant do it?". The answer was "yes". So today on the 29th I have been calling to get my money back. I have called 3 times now. The billing department is sending me to scheduling and the scheduling department says its a billing issue. This is a mess. I have felt almost zero concern from the office and the now 5 people I have talked to on the phone. BEWARE!! Still hoping I get my $450 back for services I NEVER GOT!!!

Scheduling online was incredibly easy, and they require a $39 deposit up front, with the remainder paid after the testing. The location is convenient, with a connected parking garage that had plenty of open spaces both times we visited. We didn't have to wait at all. There was zero wait time on both occasions, and the facility itself is clean, modern, and comfortable. Both my son and I had DEXA scans, and he also had his RMR measured. The tests were quick and efficient, and afterward, they printed out the results and went over them with us in detail. They were more than happy to answer our questions, and if they weren't 100% sure of something, they took the time to find the answer rather than give a vague response. We also received digital copies of our results by email, which is great for keeping track of progress. The staff is friendly, helpful, and professional. The pricing is in line with other places in Houston, and actually better than some. If you're looking for a DEXA scan or RMR test in Houston, I highly recommend Composition ID on Kirby. Green Imaging and Dr. Dickerson offered very reasonable rates for this situation. Dr. Dickerson emailed me directly and was very accessible. The staff were pleasant and well trained. The young man who did my MRI was so nice. I was very nervous as I have a bit of claustrophobia, he talked me through the procedure and made me feel safe and comfortable. We paid a fraction of the typical cost for an MRI (with interpretation included) AND got a call from the interpreting radiologist the day after the exam (on a weekend, no less) to review the findings. Seriously, the cost for the WHOLE exam was less than a typical post-insurance copay charge. I love my doctor, Dr. Cassandra Wertz, and her nurse Dee. They make an awesome team, and always make me feel supported and never rushed, the way that many physicians tend to be these days. All my questions are always answered fully and I leave feeling reassured. Dee is also a rockstar when it comes to drawing blood! She makes the whole process fast and as pain free as possible. I'm not a fan of needles, and she makes it much more bearable! The facility as a whole is well-kept, crisp, and modern. There is even a little refreshment room in the waiting lounge for the patients. The only downside is that you have to pay for parking, but it is only $5 and I can usually find a spot pretty quickly. You pay for your parking at the front desk when you check out, which makes it a smoother process to leave rather than tracking down a machine. Valet is also an option.

If you don't want to be billed for both an office visit and preventative health visit, then your option is not ask questions or discuss your health with your physician during a preventative health visit (physical). They even burned my test onto a CD for me with no charge when I asked them to the next day. The only drawback about this place is probably the parking/traffic situation - their lot is very small, with entrances to the lot on Shepherd Drive.
