Nazgol is amazing! She hosted a charcuterie workshop in her pristine modern backyard studio on Saratoga and it could not have been more fun! Nazgol taught us several tricks for cutting, arranging, and presenting cheese, meat, fruit, crackers, and more. Her materials are sourced from around the world and are not only delicious but so beautiful. The workshop was about 90 minutes long and I can't wait to take another! One thing I loved was that we all worked with the same materials but all our plates turned out differently, each an expression of the participant's personalities. I work at a venue and have tasted from quite a few charcuteries and grazing tables. Never have I ever been overwhelmed, overjoyed, and overtaken at each item I grazed to. In life, I have come to generally expect my absolute favorite tastings to be a fleeting, occasional bliss. Today, my first time trying Experience Excellence, has made me question that expectation. From cheese with flavorful crystals, to dried exotic fruits, to pastry bread sticks, I honestly could not believe the sweet and savory journey which I found myself lost on. A journey that was prolonged each time I took my chances to go back to the table and try something new.
