This is overdue, but I'm cleaning up my Yelp. Anyways, we had paid a deposit for our baby shower in 2023 for a bouncy house. Our son died in the womb a week before the baby shower. My husband called our vendors while we were in the hospital, including tom, who said he would refund us the deposit. He never did. It was very easy to reserve the bounce house we wanted on their website and Tom was extremely helpful and professional whenever I reached out with questions and clarification. The day of the party, the jumper was delivered 30 min before the party started and the set up team did a great job ensuring it was clean and the jumper looked practically new and in excellent condition. I called a bunch of different jump house companies for my son's 4th birthday party and Tom was the absolute BEST! He answered all of my questions (trust... I had many) and even looked up the other company I almost booked with to let me know that he thought they were fair in pricing (they had the exact model bounce house I wanted which is why they were my #1 option). He even told me what I needed to ask them to make sure that they could operate out of the park where I was holding the party. The fact that he did not say anything negative about his competition, gave advice so that I could safely use his competition, and answered ALL my questions with confidence and calm, showed me that he knew exactly what he was doing and that I could trust him. He even sent me pictures of the bounce house that he was offering so that I could see it from all angles. Tom stayed in communication all the way until the date of the party, showed up on time, set up, and took down the bounce house without a hitch. Great experience! We were having trouble finding anyone who would bring a jumper to Bayland's Park in Sunnyvale for a reasonable price. Santa Clara jumpers came through! Very reasonable prices. Delivered right on time. The guy got there, set it up, and cleaned it thoroughly before leaving. Made sure we had his number too in case anything came up. The kids wore out about an hour before the party was even supposed to end. So they came and picked it up early with no issues. Even cleaned it again before taking it down. This company contacted me one day before my party stating that I had to agree to an additional $50 "rain fee" because they would need to air dry the bounce house because their delivery truck is uncovered and they don't have rain tarps.... Just to clarify, even if I handed the delivery person a DRY bounce house when they came to pick it up, I would still be charged the $50 rain fee if it got when in transit, after being out of my hands.... TOM is great! He has been providing tables, chairs, and jumpers for our family parties for years! (My daughter and my 3 nieces; he's watched them grow!) He responds very quickly to texts, emails, and phone calls. He is always on time for delivery and pick-up. This was a horrible experience from the very beginning. Tom emailed me the rental agreement without a generator fee and instead of apologizing and re-drafting the agreement, he said "apparently, you haven't read a thing as the generator fee isn't included." I would NEVER EVER choose this company again. EVER. Not even if I were paid to use this company. Tom advised for us to be at the venue 1 hour before our party started, specifically 2pm. I was there, however, the deliver driver was not. I called at 215pm and Tom now says there is a 30 minute window in which the driver would arrive between, 2pm and 230pm. Ok, no problem. However, when the jumper still had not arrived by 3pm, I called again and was sent straight to voicemail many times. Finally, Tom calls back to explain the driver got lost. When I asked how could the driver get lost when there was another jumper from their company in the same picnic area, he got pissed and abruptly disconnected the call in my face! I called back and said, I hope we aren't expected to pay full price when the driver was late as this wasn't fault, and because of the tardiness, Ihad a bunch of bored kids. He said call back on Monday and he'd take care of us. Meanwhile, since my daughter's jumper was so late, guests attending her party used the other customer's jumper! I called to speak to Tom about prorating the cost. He advised, the best he could do is offer 10% off the total charge which equated to less than $20. When I asked if that's the absolute best he could do for THEIR mistake in being late leaving me with bored kids at the park, he barked, "take it or leave it." I said that I was beyond disappointed, and he disconnected the call in my face after saying he doesn't have time for this! I called 11 times trying to rectify the situation and I was sent straight to voicemail. How can an Operations Manager act like this? I could have the wrong notion, but isn't a Manager's job to MAKE TIME to ensure customers are happy? At this point, I felt defeated and was willing to accept the 10% discount as this at least validated our complaints were acknowledged. I finally got a call back from Tom with an insincere apology. The lack of empathy he expressed was very unbecoming. I explained that this was my first time using their company and that I normally go with Astro Jump. His retort was that Astro Jumps costs more and that the quality of Santa Clara Jumpers is much better. However, I beg to differ. Next time, I'll book ahead of time so I don't have to take a chance with a company I've never booked with before. read more

I specifically told that I ordered Thomas the train ( and I don't want any other theme) and it was confirmed, and it needs to be set up on concrete. However, yesterday when he came, he said he gave Thomas the train to someone and forgot our order. He wanted me to have the one with train and animals. Also, he argued that it cannot set up on the concrete ( I have the order proof that area is concrete). I told him the policy of club house says no grass for jumpy house. He keeps saying no, only on grass. The temperature on concrete will be too high, and not good for bounce house. What am I supposed to do when the party was about to start 30 minutes later? I had to compromise so kids could have fun. We were way so busy yesterday. It just came to our mind that none of it makes sense and fair. Tom went above and beyond when providing a tent for my stepson Mateos birthday! We celebrated at John D Morgan Park and he was the only vendor who actually offered to take a look at the site we reserved and take dimensions to recommend the perfect setup. He went to the park well in advance and gave me several options. We even had an emergency and almost had to cancel the party and his cancellation policy is super flexible. I wish I could have also rented the jumper with him but I had already reserved with astrojump which had a non refundable deposit even when canceling a month in advance. read more
