Based on that experience, I booked the Fredericksburg Vintner Winery Tour & Italian Lunch for my birthday in July 2025. Unfortunately, less than an hour before the tour was scheduled to begin, it was canceled. We were notified by email that the scheduled driver had experienced a medical emergency and the backup driver was already assisting with another event. The company apologized and offered to double our winery tour credits, provide free tickets to any 2025 Wino Fest, and allow us to attend a Boat Bash on Lake Travis that same day. While I appreciated the gesture, the Boat Bash offer was impossible to accept. We received the email around 10:00 a.m., and the event began at 11:30 a.m. We were already in Fredericksburg, so there was no realistic way to drive to Lake Travis in time. Although my birthday plans were ruined, I understood that emergencies happen and accepted the four winery tour credits and two Wino Fest tickets for future use. A year later, for my birthday in July 2026, I decided to use my credits to book the same Fredericksburg winery tour. We arrived at the designated meeting location early and waited for the tour to begin. The scheduled start time came and went, but no driver or tour vehicle ever arrived. Even more frustrating, there was no communication whatsoever to let us know there was a delay, cancellation, or any other issue. I immediately called, texted, and emailed the company but did not receive a response for more than an hour. Richard eventually replied by email, stating that the driver had picked up the vehicle on time and that their digital roster showed the other attendees had joined the tour. This only added to my confusion because I had arrived early at the exact meeting location provided in their confirmation link. I even replied with a screenshot from their own link showing where I had been instructed to meet, but I never received another response that day. The following day, I again requested an explanation for what had happened and asked for a refund. I received no response to either request. After two consecutive years of having my birthday plans ruined by this company, I can no longer recommend them. My communications have been with Richard, and based on my experience, I feel I was treated unfairly and ignored when I tried to resolve the situation. I'm sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before booking and hopefully avoid the disappointment that I experienced.

Our chauffeur, Kate, arrived punctually and accommodated changes to our Fredericksburg itinerary. She communicated well, made fun suggestions, and had a demeanor about her that was friendly and approachable. She also happily kept a carsick passenger company! Could not recommend her enough!

Very Disappointing Experience…read more I was really looking forward to The Golden Girls pop-up at Wanderlust Wine Company. Unfortunately, the experience was nothing like what I had seen from the pop-ups in other cities. The biggest disappointment was how little there actually was to the experience. The kitchen table wasn't even there. The girls famously gathered around that table eating cheesecake. There were no cheesecake props, which seemed like an obvious and essential part of The Golden Girls experience. Blanche's bedroom was completely outside in a completely different building, which made the whole setup feel disconnected. Even the wall phone, which was supposed to have the girls talking did not provide the experience I had seen from Instagram reels from other cities. Then came the cocktails. At $16 each, I expected them to at least be made correctly. My Blanche Devereaux cocktail was made with club soda instead of Sprite. Club soda tastes like Alka-Seltzer. I had to ask for a different drink. The second cocktail, The Dorothy, was made with Prosecco and unfortunately wasn't good either. Even the one lady sitting at this isolated bar with me said her drink was bad too. They double charged me. Which is another major issue. My ticket was $23.34 including taxes and fees and the complimentary drink was supposed to be included, with only a one-cent charge when I arrived. Instead, I was charged an additional $23.08, including $11.54 for the drink that was supposed to be included in the ticket price. Is there an explanation? Will this be corrected? My credit card company has already been notified. But what a hassle I have to go through. Just scan my QR code, and don't charge me .01 cent. I paid my ticket and "free" drink. Also as a solo guest, I was also extremely uncomfortable with where I was seated. I was placed away from everyone else at a very narrow bar along the wall, completely isolated from the rest of the group. Honestly, it felt like being sent to the kids' table at Thanksgiving--off in another room away from the adults. It was humiliating and made an already disappointing experience even worse. The entire experience amounted to roughly 15 minutes of taking a few pictures, drinking a poorly made cocktail, and leaving. For what I paid and what was advertised, I expected something much more immersive and fun. I couldn't wait to leave. Thank God I didn't pay for parking. I'm extremely disappointed. I went in excited to celebrate one of my favorite shows and left feeling like I had wasted my time and money. Based on this experience, I would not return to Wanderlust Wine Company.

We have learned that taking the VIP bus is more our speed. We can have a drink on the bus and the group is usually pretty cool. They are so organized. We arrive at the pickup spot, check in, have a drink and it's all done seamlessly. Hannah was a great bus host. She's spot on keeping us informed where we are and what to do when we arrive. She goes over rules and policies related to being on the river and trespassing rules. They always do a great job and I'll be doing it again next year.

The Quote: Most companies require you fill out an online form that results in no human interaction and a generic quote that doesn't account for the intricacies of an event like a wedding. With Daniel, he immediately connected with us via email and scheduled time to talk with us via phone so he could understand our vision and detail exactly what was required. When he submitted a formal quote to us, his prices were incredibly fair and aligned with the Austin market. The Wheels: What a home-run. We required 2 56 passenger buses and a 26 passenger executive limo spread out across two days. The vehicles were BEAUTIFUL. Clean, New, Shiny...our guests were very pleased with the transportation which was important as they were traveling about 45minutes to the destination in Dripping Springs. The Service: Each and every single pick-up was early. The drivers were easy to work, super polite and friendly, and assisted in making sure that everyone was accounted for and departure could happen on schedule. Designated contacts were also provided with all the drivers' names and texts were sent confirming the drivers had arrived and were ready for loading. The Bottom Line: Look no further than Krystal Luxuries. Daniel the owner has his head on straight and is focused on making sure transportation isn't something you need to concern yourself with. The tour was about to start, so I ran (yes, ran) through the 90+ degree Texas heat to arrive on time. My guide, David, was incredible, very interesting to listen to, and took us all around Austin. I really felt like I attained a better understanding for the city. He even took our picture at different spots, and the sweet treat was delightful. The only thing I didn't love was that the elder couple on the tour with me rambled about their political leanings, which I didn't agree with at all and I struggled to keep my mouth shut, but David did such a good job of delicately leading them off the topic on multiple occasions. Their tour is super reasonably priced, a value, really. I'd recommend them to anyone visiting Austin for the first time.
