What an amazing experience! This is a beautiful and intimate luau at the top of the mountain near Tantalus lookout. I loved the views from this mountaintop location and the scenery within the estate. The dancers are beautiful and talented and the MC is funny and has a lovely singing voice. The luau food was delicious and the bar was flowing with creative cocktails. This is a luau unlike the others. A must try! Remember to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a light jacket. It can get cool and windy up in the mountains and you'll be walking a bit within the estate to get from The hula stage to the dining tent.

From start to finish this is the best luau. It's a more intimate experience and doesn't lack any detail. It includes great history, dancing, demonstrations, activities, dinner, drinks, and my favorite...fire knife dancing!!! Take all of your friends and family to experience this spectacular Hawaiian adventure.

We had an amazing time. This was probably one of the highlights of our trip. When looking up Luau's I wanted to experience one that was more culturally authentic and not a tourist trap or overly flashy. Experience nutridge delivered just that. We learned Hawaiian language throughout our evening and were taught some history and different practices from dances to cooking techniques. This was an intimate experience as there was around 50-60 people total and we were encouraged to say hi to new faces. We had a great time, the views were beautiful, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming. The staff was very welcoming and friendly as well. So grateful to have experienced this

Family enjoying taking photos at Nutridge. Best luau on island!!!

This was for sure the best luau I've experienced on the island. The detailed explanation of the history of Nutridge and the interaction with the crowd was top tier. The MC for the event was spectacular! Loved her interaction with the crowd. The entire staff treated all as Ohana. Highly recommended luau while visiting or even if you're local and want to spend time learning history and enjoying an awesome luau.

Best Luau we've been to. Authentic, inclusive, engaging and you will not be bored. Different shows in different spots on the property, followed by games in the lawn, dinner with dancing as the sun sets! You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend using their transportation as its not a big bus. Jeff our driver was amazing and extremely knowledgeable.

What an amazing experience for our family reunion! This small and intimate luau was the cherry on top of our week long vacation in Oahu. From the shuttle driver, to the host and entertainers, everything was top notch. And the food was amazing! Things about this luau to be aware of: Due to the spectacular location, on the side of a mountain with stone and grass covered pathways, I would not recommend this luau for anyone who is physically limited (walker or wheelchair). Also, for restrooms, they have several port-a-potties (clean, but they are still port-a-potties). They had a nicer restroom in a portable trailer, but the line to use that one was always long.

    Loving this Luau!

After going to the popular big named luaus, I decided I wanted to take my family to experience a more intimate luau. Overall it was a decent experience. I liked that it wasn't too far from our hotel. The staff there are extremely friendly and take the time to talk to and get to know the visitors during the evening. Not only are they interacting with you during the games, they are the performers, and also don gloves to serve you dinner at the buffet line. The food was yummy and you can go back for more if you are still hungry. The property is a beautiful macadamia nut farm, and there are great views of the city from the top of the hill where house and swing are. Technically it is wheelchair accessible, but going down to the area where they do some dancing and fire dancing is kind of steep, so take your time heading over there. The performances are fine, but not really any wow factor to it. The major gripe I have is their porta potties. I was fully aware that they only have porta potties, but what I wasn't expecting was that they aren't maintained. The first one I went into was filled to the brim with paper and waste! So gross! I told the employee outside and all he told me was that they hadn't had someone come out for a couple of days to clean them. OMG, I couldn't get over it, I can't believe I paid a small fortune to attend this and find that they can't even maintain their facilities.

    Aloha!

As part of a promotion package we opted in to this luau and are so glad we did. As others have said, it's a small group so interacting with the staff is very easy. The team is very engaged and put on a good show. Amazing that they do it all including serving the buffet and cleaning. We were picked up from the Hilton Grand Islander and we're in the van with Kaia(?). She was lovely and engaging. She even made a stop in the park where scenes from Blue Hawaii were filmed. Upon arrival we are moved around to various stations for cultural enrichment experiences such as dances and learning about cooking with an imu. Once it was dinner time, we received more entertainment and ended the evening learning a hula dance and doing the electric slide. Open bar included! Definitely attend this luau if you are able. If you have mobility challenges, this might be tough to experience. What a hidden gem!

Now if you are expecting to receive a luau experience like the movies, this is not it. Instead you will receive an intimate setting filled with laughter, good company, stories of traditions, traditional dancing, games, a spectacular view, and AMAZING food. My family and I loved everything about experience nutridge, and based on the pictures it so easy to see why. The entire staff is simply wonderful. You arrive to a drink, then are showed how food is cooked, you get to see some dances, including fire, then you get to partake in some tradition games. If you win the games you get raffle tickets to win prizes. Afterward you get to sit and take pictures in the beautiful location. The food is amazing, traditional Hawaiian food that you would have a luau. The meat is tender and cooked perfectly; you can have chicken, pork, or both. The salad has great dressings. While you are eating, the staff does traditional dancing and you are also showed some traditional moves. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that if I return to Hawaii, I will for sure do again.

When you search for Luaus in O'ahu you get a variety of options, but most of them are large commercial outfits and it wasn't what we were looking for; we wanted something more authentic and akin to a family affair. We 100% found that with Experience Nutridge. This was an amazing experience from start to finish and it was one of our favorite things we've ever done on vacation. The tour bus picks you up from a variety of spots in Waikiki and then takes to to the property, which is a few miles outside of town. Along the way, the bus stops at a beautiful overlook and you can see all the way from Diamond Head to Honolulu and it's really a wonderful view. Once you're at the property you're greeted like family and welcomed into the beautiful grounds with a welcome drink. It was so nice to see the traditional dancing and songs and the staff are excellent dancers and singers. We also loved being able to play some lawn games and wander around the grounds before dinner; it's so peaceful here and it was a macadamia nut farm, which is really interesting. Dinner was absolutely fantastic and we ate every last bit of it; it's seriously excellent and the drinks are great too. There's more dancing with dinner and they put on a great show overall. All of the staff are just the nicest people as well and they really made us feel at home. We 100% recommend Experience Nutridge over anyone else for a Luau when you're visiting O'ahu!

Thank you to Terry K for taking me on this journey to something that I've never tried personally is to see a play and Manoa Valley Theatre offers us some amazing performances that I've been lucky to see a play though it's never been at Manoa Valley venue itself and what a difference it is. The vibe here is full of energy as many start arriving and you need to check in and verify your seating which the staff does and also informed us that the air conditioning wasn't fully operational and provided us with a bottle water is a nice gesture though was slightly warm the cool Manoa air kept us decently cool. As we get to chill prior by getting a drink and/or snack is nice and there are great options available including some alcohol. Kim's Convenience is the play and from what we were told is once a series on Netflix which I don't have but I like that I have no idea as I can enjoy the play just as they visualize which was great and fun since it was a comedy, if anything the seating leaves no room for anyone to pass in front of you so I had leave the row and wait in the aisle for others to take their seat but in all comfortable and easy to view the play without being blocked from the previous row. Bravo to this creative and wonderful evening with a great friend as doing something unique like this was so much fun and a memorable experience. Thank you!

I won't give too much spoilers but the performers were amazing! So skilled in what they do and had me on the edge of my seat! I don't think there's any bad seats as it's a fairly intimate venue. Not super small but the crowd in the farthest back row didn't seem so far. I believe we were in row H if my pic can give you any view reference. My boyfriend said the sections going up were almost as much as the low seats, so definitely fiddle with the seat choices when purchasing so you can see the differences! They had drinks at the bars (the lobby area right before you show them your tickets, and right outside the seating venue). The only difference is that the bar right before you show them your ticket has popcorn and snacks- the upper bar did not. No intermission- but they did have an interactive audience segment, which could act as your intermission, but it was so fun! I wouldn't want to miss it! It's approx. 80mins long, so pls plan ahead- go to the bathroom prior. I liked the bathrooms on the same level as the venue. When you go up the escalators, the bar will be to your left- go right and back into the building, there's signs and a staff member should be nearby to guide you if anything. But you can't go to that bathroom after the show- they block that area off so they can clear the area. Take advantage of the photo op area facing the lower bar (not the one with the professional photographer). I recommend before the show if you have time. It gets more crowded after the show.

Today it seats about 1,400 guests, offering an intimate experience where every seat feels close to the stage. The acoustics are excellent, the seats are comfortable, and the staff and volunteers are friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. There's also a small bar and lounge with high-tops, perfect for enjoying a drink and conversation before the show. Inside the theater, you see tall, fluted Corinthian-style columns that are richly detailed. The curved arch overhead is decorated with mosaic-style tiles in warm tones, and I absolutely LOVE the lush deep red velvet curtains that frame the stage. They add so much warmth and elegance. Having attended many shows throughout the years, I've always been mesmerized by the mural above the stage and decided to do some Googling while waiting for the show to begin. I learned it's Lionel Walden's Glorification of the Drama. The painting depicts a grand procession of mythic figures -- a golden-robed muse in her chariot, attendants, musicians, a lion handler -- all celebrating the power of theater. The central figure, often interpreted as the Personification of Drama, leads the way. Knowing that part of the mural was once lost to water damage and later painstakingly restored makes it even more meaningful. I did not do much research ahead of time. I do not go to luaus because I know there are many issues with them being so exploitative, but I absolutely was trying to approach with an open mind. I'm not sure where to start. Uh. I guess I'll go chronologically. The check in lines were incredibly long so they are not very accessible. There was very little information on the accessibility of the space on their website. We got there early but were told they wouldn't start check in for a while and to go find a place to sit and wait. We weren't warned about the line at all. I'm disabled and so we found a place to sit and watched the line grow and grow. By the time check in started, the line had hundreds of people, so we decided to wait hoping the line would move quickly. But after about 20 minutes passed after check in started, the line did not seem to be shortening at all. We talked to a staff member about us being early and not being able to wait in the line due to being disabled and she told us there's nothing they could do about it. I think we ended up waiting over 40 minutes. When we actually finally got to check in, one of the women recognized us and said they should've helped us from the beginning and was very sweet and apologetic. She gave us some extra drink tickets which was a lovely gesture. As you go in, you are greeted with leis and a photo op. We immediately noticed the garb worn by the staff looked like plastic and fast fashion costuming. The photo op felt strange to us and we declined. But we observed the staff going up to people with the printed photos for purchase. It felt quite money grabby. As we entered the area, there's more plastic. A lot of the decor was made of plastic and felt gimmicky. The ground had artificial grass and there was a wall covered in fake foliage for pictures. We went to the bar to grab drinks and the drink tickets offered you very limited options. I got the Mai tais with my drink tickets, which were only 9 oz and I would guess maybe there was half a shot of rum in each. My friend got some of the mocktails, that they had to pay extra for, and the drinks had like a strange aftertaste we couldn't understand from looking at the ingredient list. They did not want any more after that. We then went to grab dinner from the buffet. I'm vegetarian and so my options were limited. The stir fried noodles had a strange aftertaste as well and I couldn't finish them. I only really enjoyed the Hawaiian rolls with lilikoi butter and the fresh pineapple. My friend agreed there were some weird aftertastes in the food. They eat meat, so they definitely enjoyed more of the food than I did, but they also couldn't finish their plate. By the time we had started eating, we noticed all the cultural activities had closed so sadly we could not really partake in any. When the show started, they created fire on stage to light the torches, which was probably our favorite part of the show. It felt the most authentic. Then, there were performances by the same 4 women and 4 men in different garb to represent different cultures of Oceania. Again, the costuming seemed to be made out of plastic/fast fashion materials. Coconut bras made of shiny plastic and even hula skirts made of colorful tinsel. I felt particularly uncomfortable when I saw the performers do the haka dance with painted on moko, or the traditional tattoos of the Māori people. My friend suggested that some of the performers might be Māori, but based on the hesitancies of the dancers to commit making the faces traditionally seen in the haka made us feel like that probably wasn't the case. We felt immense discomfort at the amount of cultural appropriation we were watching throughout the performances. Beyond that, we noticed that all of the dances were incredibly fast-paced, which isn't aligned with what we understand about a lot of these cultural dances. So everything felt sped up to keep the attention from the audience, which means that some of the more technical aspects of the traditional dances were neglected, and to me, they were noticeable. We also noticed that some of the dancers were struggling to catch their breaths towards the end of the show, which seemed to highlight out how unnecessarily fast paced these performances were. It is clear that the dancers worked very hard and they brought incredible energy to their performances, so I do not have anything but wonderful things to say about them. We ended up leaving early because of our discomfort with how exploitative the experience felt. It is clear that the staff and performers work quite hard to run this event. They are the ones that deserve any stars from this review. The immense issues we observed stem from the people who are making decisions to be as extractive and exploitative as possible.

I added a couple of photos from the most recent play, Mean Girls, which was hilarious and adapted well for the musical stage.

We didn't get a few drops but not too bad. Food was ok, salads, sides were very good. The meats not so much. The only thing was really good was the barbecue pork. The kalua pork was dry and tasteless. The fish was inedible and so dry. No seasonings on the kalua pork. Desserts were ok, a pineapple cake, coconut pannacotta and mini Malasaga donuts. Mai tais were good, not a lot of liquor but good. You come for the show and was the best. See my pics.

Since my family was already staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, my husband and I trekked it over to their part of Waikiki. We had Golden Circle seating which was not VIP but we had 3 drink tickets each along with a welcome drink upon entering. We were seated with an okay view of the stage. It was warm and it was nice to be dining al fresco. They had live music and we were called up to the buffet table-by-table. The food was so-so but we found things to eat. There was Kahlua pork, roasted chicken, fish, salad, bread, etc. For the drink tickets, it's easier to go up to the bartender and order rather than wait for a server. Drinks that were available to us included: soft drinks, POG, beer, wine, and premixed cocktails. Needless to say, we did not use up our tickets but my husband tried and he even tried giving a few away. While dining, they started the show on the stage. The talented performers put on a great show and even my dad got in on the fun. Once the performance ended and the dining concluded, we were directed towards the lagoon where we would have a great view of the fireworks. The staff was on top of clearing plates and helping guests. The fireworks show lasted about 10 minutes or so but it was a lovely way to spend an evening with family.
