I had a wonderful experience with Experimax every time that I go. I have brought my computer here for repair twice, and will continue to rely on them. The first time, I brought my computer in for a sticky "A" key that the apple store said would cost $625 to fix. Mark fixed it for $85. I have a 2012 MacBook Pro that got me through college. I still have it, and was really sad when it started to slow down. After some research, I bought a 1 TB solid state drive and 2 8GB ram cards to max out the memory and power of this old MacBook Pro from an online company (Crucial). I brought my macbook and my new parts in, and requested that Experimax upgrade the hardware since I don't trust myself with this kind of stuff. Experimax also has batteries, so I requested a battery. Mark did it in 1 day. I dropped my computer off at 2pm and picked it back up at 2pm the next day. All my data was there, copied correctly, and my machine is SO FAST. It's like having a new MacBook Pro. He did it for $85 and the battery cost me $99. I now have a "new computer" for much cheaper than anything sold on the market, and my computer is very powerful. I took my daughter's iPhone to have the screen replaced after it shattered. The customer service here was excellent! They repaired the screen while we waited (as you may know, being separated from their cell phone can be nerve-shattering for a teenager) and did a fantastic job. I took my laptop to this store to remove broken power connector from the laptop, as simple as it is, charged $80 to remove it it is difficult to communicate with the guy who is running the shop, gets frustrated for everything. he asked me to leave my laptop in the store along with password for my laptop, when i hesitated to provide password, he got irritated and asked me "where am i from?" it seems he has to ask this question to himself, Security is a very big concern and we all know. He said all his customers write the password on work orders and he brought some work orders and tried to show it to me, i refused to look at it and said i do not want to look at other peoples work orders or their passwords. I wrote my password and later i came back in 10 minutes and said i want to erase my password from my work order, he brought the work order from the room inside and reading my password. My girlfriend dropped off her MacBook on May 31st. The store had made zero effort to contact us on what is happening with the computer for the first three months the computer. After multiple calls on the computer we have discovered that the computer was lost in the mail. This was last month. The computer has no been with the store lost for 4 months and we have now had to resort to going into the store in person to try and resolve the issue, the tech who took it did not fill out the receipt correctly so we are missing information on the entire thing. They lost a 2015 MacBook Pro and are only willing to replace it with a 2014 MacBook Pro. It is a terrible experience. read more

First time coming to this place for help with my Mac book air that had water damage. They diagnosed my laptop for $50 and were happy to answer all of my questions and were honest and open about what I needed done and all of my options. I ended up bringing in another old Mac book air and they successfully moved my hard drive from the broken laptop to the one I brought in so that I didn't lose all of my school work and photos. They also took $50 off my bill at the end for the diagnosis which I wasn't expecting. Super knowledgeable/helpful and I'm really happy I tried them for my tech needs :) read more

The worst experience!!! All I requested was for them to remove a virus from google chrome and they rebooted my entire computer wiping out all of my files, deleting all my Microsoft office subscriptions and therefore cannot open anything. They lied to me saying Microsoft had expired and then changed their facts to say that it was deleted because it was rebooted. Then told me they can wipe out my hardware if I would like. Waste of money!!! Not telling me all the facts and lying to my face. Very frustrating read more

I needed a new battery for my "vintage" 2011 MacBook Air. I went to the Apple store at the mall and they told me they no longer carry this battery and they referred me to some other Mac repair store downtown. When I called the downtown store they told me it would take a week to order one and then several weeks on a waiting list to actually get it replaced. Experimac provides an excellent service. Last December my Dell computer started failing, and I brought it to them to take a look at. I ended up buying a refurbished MacBook Pro, which I absolutely love. When there was one issue with an update from Apple, I brought it back to Experimac and they fixed it within 24 hours for me. I am updating my previous review of 4/23/20. Mark, the owner and I met and resolved our issue. We went over the issue in detail covering the reasons for the malfunction and why things happened the way they did. I now understand better the failure. Woah! Looked at two 27" iMacs. Both had stickers reflecting that they were i7 processors, and their prices suggested the same. Sales associate turned on both - NEITHER were i7!!! Both were i5 processors with minimal ram. And we're done. read more
