This place is a SCAM!!! They are a Verizon authorized dealer NOT a Verizon store. Beware... they will charge you their own set of fees because they are privately owned and can do what they want and then Verizon will turn around and charge you the actual activation fees that you are really only suppose to pay. I think you should stay away from "Authorized Retailers" for Verizon Wireless. ALWAYS visit a corporate store! They speak about Verizon like they are not affiliated with them and they are not very helpful at all! I went in there for something as simple as getting help with putting on a screen protector. They said they do not do that, take it to a corporate store. I think that is very rude and does not give a good impression for the quality of customer service that Verizon Wireless provides. Only shop here is you know exactly what you want and what precisely you are paying for. They have taken advantage of my parents not just once but twice. The first time they sold them a hot spot pack in the same transaction as a phone with a hot spot. I told my parents to never go back an they didn't listen and they just sold them a iPhone 8 at retail with no discount as well as an additional power supply and screen protector that was not needed. read more

I received superb service at the Ashland Verizon Wireless Store last week. It was hard to find a store anywhere in the Richmond area that allowed customers into the store to select a phone, during the Covid issues. Most Verizon stores were closed. Cory, the manager, helped me upgrade my old iphone 6 -(safely- there was a plexiglass shield at the desk, and masks and gloves were in use). I thought I might need a more expensive 128 gb iphone 11, since I take lots of pictures, but he looked at my iphone 6 and said that I only used about 1/3 of the gigs I had on my old phone, so I didn't need a more expensive version- the 64 gb would be a good fit for me. It's rare to find a salesman who will not upsell a customer. He was very patient and explained all the features to me, and he also was able to transfer ALL of my pictures, contacts, AND TEXTS !! I had to leave my old phone at the store for about 30 minutes while he performed the transfer, and when I returned, it was all finished ! I'm a little technically challenged, so I was especially appreciative of all the demonstrations, advice and tips on using my new phone. I would describe the service I received as "Ukrops Style"-- and every local knows that is about as good as it gets. read more

On 2/11/2016, my husband's old phone died. We went into the Ashland, VA Verizon Wireless store to finally get him a new one. I'll be honest...some friends had not loved their experiences there in the past. BUT, I must say, we had an absolutely stellar experience there yesterday. Mike Jefferson was just the best. So informed, so helpful, so not high-pressure. It was obvious that he is really a caring person and it came through in how he treated us, how he spoke with us about options. It was a fun, relaxed, easy experience. The new phone was working beautifully when we left, all info transferred, up and running. We will definitely be return customers and Mike is most definitely who we will go to! Verizon Wireless has consistently upheld their brand image in my experience and I always have such a great experience on the phone, with the product and the wireless service. They just make it easy! Stay away!! Go to a corporate store!! Finally getting around to writing a much needed review...After 15 years with Sprint, I decided to terminate my service and go to Verizon Wireless. I had researched the plans and devices, so I went to the Cellular Sales Verizon Authorized Retailer store, thinking "how bad can it be?" Well, that was easily answered in the end. My initial impression was that they were helpful and they had me covered. Well, they ended up being quite the opposite. Unhelpful and double coverage(two plans assigned, instead of the single plan requested) I went into the store knowing that I wanted an Apple 32GB iPhone 5S GOLD and an Apple iPad AIR 32GB SILVER both to be included with 4GB total data. When I went to the store, I was told that they did not have either in stock, so they would order them for me. I agreed. Well, the next day, I went with my fiancée to the Verizon corporate store at 7264 Mechanicsville Turnpike, Mechanicsville, VA as she was up for a new phone(already on Verizon) and decided to upgrade. They had both devices that I ordered from Cellular Sales, so I called them to see if I could cancel my order and get them from the corporate store. They stated, "they couldn't reverse the order." I even called the corporate office and they said the retail store can cancel the order. So, I just gave up and waited for the devices to go into the store. I picked up the devices when they arrived, they set them up and I thought everything was great. Well, after a few days, I notice that my iPad is not listed on my online account, so I raised concern with the retail rep, but several e-mails were very delayed, and in the end, unhelpful. I had sent 2-3 e-mails to the store, he requested my account password, so I provided it, but there was no final answer or correction addressed. I found myself in the store, asking if this can be fixed. They did tell me that it was setup on two accounts and they could not correct it in store, so they told me I have to call Verizon customer service. At this point, my transition from Sprint to Verizon has already been a headache. No fault of Verizon, although they are an authorized retailer, they have few authorizations/capabilities. So, I called Verizon customer service, the representative told me that I was lucky I caught it in time, because I would have received two bills of $125+ each. They had set up two lines: one for my iPad with voice and 4GB of data and my iPhone with the same, equaling 8GB of data. The representative also told me that this has happened before, as many retail stores have done this for boosting their sales numbers. So, if you're thinking of going to get a new phone or setup a new line of service, go to a corporate store NOT an authorized retailer, unless you want a headache or limited service capabilities.
