When my insurance didn't give a correct quote after fixing my roof and including my gutters after a hailstorm damaged them, Cory made it right by coming out and fixing them anyway and also sent a $50 gift card for the inconvenience that was cause not by expert exteriors but by my insurance adjuster. We bought a home that had had a new roof put in a relatively recently. Our real estate agent confirmed the warranty transferred from one owner to us prior to purchase. We encountered issues with roof leaks within 6 months of moving in. Contacted these folks to see what the warranty covered, what it didn't, and wanted them to come see what we needed. Took weeks to get them out, they lied about mailing us a copy of the warranty, finally did come out, fixed something, didn't say a word to us and left. I followed up to see what needed to be done, crickets. Finally had another company come look at- he told us there were super recent repairs. Expert Exteriors then gaslit me and my husband about what happened, saying the tech (the owner I think?) spoke to my husband before he left, when he absolutely didn't. We currently, 3 years later, still have issues we've been trying to get them to come fix to no avail. Our roof leaks in several places. We probably have mold at this point. We can't get them to honor the warranty, or even just come take a look. But we also can't have another company come look and fix it... without voiding the warranty. No idea what we ever did to make them so hostile, but they did shoddy work and won't stand by it and their "warranty" means nothing - at least to us. read more

I used Expert Exteriors to replace my roof on a hail claim and they were great! I decided to move forward with them on solar and they completely dropped the ball. As a reseller they did not have a firm grasp on project management, leaving me in a position where the financing had expired and we would have to start over at a higher interest rate. I am currently in discussions with one of the partners who has promised tp make it right. I will keep the review updated with the outcome. read more

Hail damage and subsequent insurance claims are never a joy to work with but working with Expert Exteriors made the entire process much more bearable. I had damage to several properties within a few weeks time and had to have roofs and skylights replaced. EE was efficient (in and out ahead of schedule!) and made sure our tenants were inconvenienced as little as possible. The laborers were polite and made sure the properties were kept tidy as they worked. I'll definitely be sending referrals to EE from now on. read more

In June 2012 our neighborhood was pounded by a very large hail storm. Immediately all the "Big Boy" roofers (who you can read reviews on elsewhere on this site) dived in like vultures knocking on our doors offering to replace our roofs. (Expert Exteriors was NOT among those who went door to door). Due to the high costs and percieved hassle of replacing a roof we did not accept the "offers" from these other companies and are SO glad we didn't. I recently met Ryan (with Expert Exteriors) at a networking event and, concerned our roofs "health" (from having seen so many of our neighbors roofs being replaced) started to ask him about his job and how you know if a roof has damage from hail. Due to the expertise he displayed in his conversation I then confessed our roof might have damage and had him come out to evaluate our roof. Ryan came, found damage and presented a reasonable quote for the size of our roof. I am VERY anal retentive and, as such, dived into doing EXTENSIVE research on Expert Exteriors before moving forward. Based on the information I was able to find (all positive) I opted to move forward with Expert Exteriors. In what is normally presumed to be a "High Stress" experience, Ryan hand held us through the process, easily walked us through the insurance claim and met every deadline given on time or early. The roofers themselves came promptly at the time they had advised they would be there and worked hard through the entire day. Given that I work at home I have been able to watch all the other roofing companies at work. While thier roofers have all tended to slack off as soon as the supervisor leaves the scene Expert Exteriors roofers did not. They were instead some of the most hard working and exacting professionals I have seen. I was impressed that they laid a tarp around our entire house to catch any debris that might fall off while they were working and they drove thier truck off at night to empty it - both something the other companies do not do. At the end of the work day, and again when the project was finished, they also spent a good amount of time going around to house to make sure everything was clean. Ryan even came out again the next day to do a full cleaning and inspection. In addition to the roof, I had noticed that our gutter was leaking at the seam and Ryan had that fixed while the roof was being done. Some of our paint cracked under the roofs seam (an understandable and natural occurance in this process) and again Ryan came back to get that repainted. Both of these additional projects were done at no cost. As for the roof itself, now that it is done I can do a "Side by Side" comparison and it is clear how much better quality both the material used, and labor performed, was compared to other roofs done in our nighborhood. One roof done by another company even had "buckling" in their roof and the company had to come out a few days later to already work on it again. Our roof by Expert Exteriors is solid and well constructed and makes the other roofing companies look extremely poor. People... Having a roof redone is a major project and you want to make sure you research who does it, and find the best company out there to perform the work for you. Expert Exteriors was amazing in every positive sense of the word! They even give you a free annual inspection of the work and a lifetime warrenty. If you want a Hassle Free, expert roofing job done I would highly recommend this company. The process was both smooth and easy and the end result was of extremely high quality. We hired Expert Exteriors to replace our roof after a hail storm. Took almost 21 months to complete the job. Failed first inspection. Expert Exteriors did not pay the solar company to remove/replace the panels on the roof when it was included on their invoice. Had to argue with Expert Exteriors to get the solar panel charge removed after I directly paid the solar company for the removal/replacement of the solar panels. Received a letter from Expert Exteriors stating the job had been successfully completed when it had not. Had to REPEATEDLY call and/or text to get the job done. Was told several times that a crew would be out to do work and no one showed up and Expert Exteriors failed to inform us there would be a delay. Would give zero stars if allowed but required to give at least one. read more

If I could give a negative star rating I would!!!! I have had a similar experience as noted by Charles R! Read his rating and take it to heart! DO NOT USE EXPERT EXTERIORS! THEY ARE HORRIBLE. They took my insurance money in order to "start" work.....guess what? They took the money and ran!!!!! I'm out a large sum of money and they will not return it!!!! We are soooooooo disappointed! IMHO these guys are crooks! I see it as nothing short of stealing our money!!!! We ironically had our terrible experience with Chris Elawar too! Don't trust him! And don't trust this company with your money!!!! Nobody from the top down will give us our insurance money back. This not only is theft but we will now have to wait on the multitude of repairs that are needed on our home! They don't care! They stole from us and they do not care!!!!! DO NOT USE EXPERT EXTERIORS! The service and respect (or lack thereof) must have changed over the years since these last two reviews were posted. I would have rated this place with zero stars if that option was available. And, ironically enough, I haven't even been "privileged" enough to use their advertised services. But, it wasn't for a lack of trying. I needed some siding repair and replacement completed and decided to contact a locally-owned company for an estimate. Initially, I called to set up an appointment and was told that a salesperson would call me within a few hours to do so. Finally, I called back the next afternoon whereupon I was finally able to confirm an appointment, The salesperson, Chris Elewar, reviewed the property on a Friday evening; yet, because of the remnants of March's blizzard, Chris thought it necessary to come back on another day. He also specified that he wanted to bring the company's siding and painting persons along for their input. The next appointment was set for the following Tuesday. By Wednesday afternoon, after never hearing from Chris or a company representative again, I called Chris' cell, leaving a message asking politely for a status report since he never showed or called. My honest intention was to give him the opportunity to explain his lack of promised contact privately without mentioning anything to his supervisors. However, having not received a response by Thursday afternoon, I then left a voice message for the founder of the company, one Josh Lucero. You know, the same person who crows on his website about " if a quality product is provided with prompt and reliable service, satisfied customers and referrals were guaranteed. These same principles now form a shared passion by everyone at Expert Exteriors." Having, once again, not received a response from Mr. Lucero by Friday afternoon, I called and left another message for Mr. Lucero through one of his employees while firmly but again politely stating my concerns and lack of common courtesy. Well, it's now ten days after the initial contact with Chris and three business days from my first message to Mr. Lucero and I have yet to hear from either person. I have to surmise, based upon the drivel quoted above from the website, that "satisfied (potential) customers" are not part of this company's mission. I also must presume that "prompt and reliable service" is obviously not a hallmark of this company. All I wanted was a professional estimate for siding repair. I did not ask for nor expect that lack of courtesy and respect for potential customers, for some strange reason, seems to take precedence over appropriate business standards. Run, don't walk, do not pass "Go" and stay as far away from this so-called business as possible. What a waste of my precious time! read more

If all you need is a roof replaced, these people will do a fast, excellent job. If you need siding or a skylight replaced be ready for lots of stalls and 5-6 months before work is completed. Almost no contact from this company unless I initiated the contact. It felt like roofing is their main focus and anything else gets pushed to the bottom of the list. read more

They came to us one day and informed us about a storm that came through in 2016 that our insurance should cover. they did all the ground work, helped us work through the claim process, the payment process and everything. The day they came to do the roof, they did it in one day. They were quick, efficient, friendly and cleaned up the mess. We worked with Zach Ingenthrone - he is a great guy. I had EE replace my roof after the hail storm of July 2016 in West Lakewood. I would NOT recommend that you use them. The workmanship is ok, not perfect but ok. Which is where the two stars come from. They get no stars for the rest. They get zero stars for communication. there wasn't any. They also had two crews working me. One crew was coming around to get me to sign. They were mostly white guys, and everyone spoke native english. I never saw any of them again after I signed, except to pick up the check. The 2nd crew were the actual roofers. They did all the work in one day. Nice guys. There was a fluent english speaker right at the start, but be disappeared until about dusk when he came back to finish up. That left 4 guys, one who spoke a little english, so it was very difficult to communicate with them. They were here over 12 hours but never used a bathroom. At least none inside my house. Pee bottles? After the roof was finished, it failed a couple of very minor Lakewood inspection points. 5 minutes of work at most. The guy who was supposed to be handling my case called a couple days after the work was done, and asked how it was. I reported that I'd like them to pick up the extra materials,get me the paint quote that he had promised at the beginning, and get in touch with the insurance company so that we can finalize everything, and set up the Lakewood inspection. It's been two weeks and none of this has been done, nor has there been any communication as to when it will be done. I guess they have more work then they can handle. read more

My entire experience with this company was abysmal. Not sure I have had a worse experience with a business. Their smooth sales professional promised an upgraded hail-resistant shingle, then gave us a lesser shingle that is going to cost us thousands in insurance premiums over the next 20 years. They promised to install the roof two weeks later, it was nearly two months later when they completed the roof. They promised to clean up the resulting mess, but instead left many dozens of nails, cigarette butts and shingle wrapper all over my yard that has cost many hours to clean up. They knocked the roof furnace vent completely loose, with no inspection, which could have killed my family. They also broke intricate wood lattice work off my roof and refused to replace it. The additional work they promised never got done despite many attempts to arrange it. When I tried to remedy this in calm fashion in a conversation with the owner, Josh Lucero, I was promised he would take care of it and only until weeks later when my wife posted how unhappy we were with his company on their Facebook site did Josh respond unprofessionally and aggressively threatening to put a lien on our home. I cannot emphasize enough that you should avoid this company like the plague. Spare yourself the many hours of frustration and misery I have had to endure. read more
