I interviewed several movers, and many were uninterested in handling fine art, a grand piano, in having a thoughtful conversation about the complexity of my move or lacked proper insurance that would cover a meaningful loss should one occur. From my first interaction with Joseph, one of the co-owners of Strong Bros., however, I felt heard and respected. He readily acknowledged that my grand piano required specialty movers, but--importantly--he also showed genuine interest and care for the art my husband and I had collected over the years. Before making a final decision, I requested some names of other clients the company had moved and received glowing reviews. I am very glad I followed their recommendations. Joseph promised a stress-free, damage-free experience, and delivered on that promise. Joseph came to my home, thoughtfully walked through each room with me, and meticulously documented what would be moved and what would remain. After I spent several weeks doing a substantial amount of the packing and moving myself, Joseph returned for a second visit, reassessed the scope of the move, and offered a discount at my request in recognition of the work I had already done. I deeply appreciated hat level of fairness and integrity. Joseph and Andrew arrived on time every day during the move, were consistently polite, professional, and fully engaged, and spent four days to complete the move. While Strong Bros. was the most expensive of the companies I interviewed, their value was unmistakable. Their care in handling my belongings, their attention to detail, and their commitment to proper insurance coverage--far beyond the bare minimum--gave me peace of mind during an otherwise stressful time. What ultimately sets Strong Bros. apart, however, is not just the quality of their work, but the quality of their character. Beyond the logistics and cost of the move, Joseph and Andrew took a genuine interest in my story and my needs. I would love to give Home Run Movers 5 stars because they are very nice but I can only give them 1…read morestar. The first star I deduct is due to their low ball estimate of the time and expense of the move. It ended up taking twice as long and costing twice as much as was estimated. That is $1,000 more than estimated. I did move from a 3rd floor apartment to a 2nd floor condo with several glass tables and mirrors but they knew that when they estimated it could be done in 4-5 hours with 3 movers. It took 9 hours. The second star deduction is that they worked as if they were being paid by the day and not by the hour. They were not slow but they were not fast. I have seen movers who really moved with urgency. Fast movers move quickly on the stairs when they are not carrying boxes. These folks were not fast movers. If they were paying $210 per hour I think they would move faster. They lost another star because I paid for 3 movers and got 2 experienced movers and an 18 year old cousin who had never moved anything. He stood around in the beginning waiting to be told what to do. He also showed no initiative regarding doing what he could be doing. There were times he was checking his phone and taking significant rest breaks. I argued I should pay less because I only had 2 and a half movers but my argument was ignored. They finally lost the fourth star because when I went back to the apartment I found that they had forgotten a 2.5 x 4 foot framed print in the bathroom and also left some of their garbage from wrapping items. There are positive things to say. They were very careful. They called in advance and arrived early. They worked to reassemble tricky furniture. They were also very friendly.

The guitar was missing its case, and was placed in a "speed pack". There were damages (cracks and scratching). We spoke and both of us agreed to resolve this by taking it to his resources for repair. A few hours later he claimed to have gone to 2 repair shops and feedback was it was not his fault. He heavily relied on this information and turned around and dismissed all responsibility, claiming it was already damaged. He offered a small amount of monetary damages, but when he returned the guitar to my home his tone changed and was very rude. And went back on his word about paying for damages. He got in a shouting match outside of my home with me. My neighbors and family witnessed it. Zeev didnt handle this very well. Zeev comes across as a happy and professional in the beginning, claiming his company has no drama. But its not true. He doesnt handle conflict very well and that must be the way he handles no drama. I told him he'd be getting a bad review, and he had his chance to turn this all around to resolve where the customer would be happy to do business with again. But unfortunately due to those events I will never go back to his services. I paid over $3900 for this service (2 days), tipped his crew both days and I provided lunch and dinner.
