We picked out our tile from the new Floor & Decor in Tualatin, and then went on Yelp to find an installer. Yurii and his son from Olys Construction came the same day I reached out for the quote, and both were very friendly and personable, and gave me a fair price on the spot (that was significantly less than the other bids, too!). Yurii works very cleanly and efficiently, and while sometimes there was a very small communication barrier, Yurii was able to translate his native Ukrainian to English on his phone, and everything went very smoothly! The project took three days, and we love our new kitchen backsplash! The pattern is immaculate, and makes such a great statement in our kitchen. Unfortunately, the end result is pretty rough due to a choice in materials that ultimately comes down to saving himself about 50 bucks by choosing very low-grade plywood instead of a higher-grade smooth version. (They didn't use finish nails either) Lesson learned to supply my own materials, but it seems he could have communicated the options to me, especially after I supplied some of the other materials that were supposed to be included in the quote.
