Updated to 3 star after Brian responded to my emails. Dramatic departure from the previous great customer service. Extremely disappointed. Absolutely NOT worth the money and time to see a CPA. 2 stars due to previous good experiences contrasting with the experience this year. I have used them in the past with good results. However, this year was a dramatic reversal in customer service. This year they advertised appointments at a location much closer to me, and then cancelled a confirmed appointment because they weren't using that location anymore due to a staffing issue. The entire exchange was less than courteous including them saying that they did that to prioritize their business customers and that customers like me were less important. Due to previous experiences I made another appointment. This appointment was basically a turbo-tax experience where my questions were barely answered and I was given generic answers or non-answers to questions about what I should correct for next year. The person we were working with left the office multiple times to greet other customers and seemed solely concerned with inputting our numbers then getting us "closed up" so he could move on to someone else. We got nothing more, and probably less, than we could've gotten from anywhere else including a computer-based TurboTax product. Extremely disappointed. read more

I wish I could give this wonderful company 6 Stars! My husband and I have both been using Jackson Hewitt for years, even before we got married. We had a not so nice experience today waiting for our appointment at our usual office, so we left and decided to get on Yelp to see if we could find somewhere in a pinch today. I found Expert Tax and Accounting and their Yelp profile and reviews appealed to me. My husband called and the woman who answered was friendly and we got an appointment several hours from our call, which was quick and great for our schedule. The office is clean, neat, organized and professional. We did not wait long for Tyrell who was our tax preparer. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and quick to get done what we needed. We were unprepared even with not bringing all the necessary forms we were supposed to, he even accommodated us to let us run home and get the stuff we needed. He squeezed us in before his next appointment when we got back! Tyrell was able to maximize our refund and even checked if filing other ways was more affordable for us... we thought we would be paying more than we normally do for taxes, but the services were even more affordable than anticipated. This company now has a lifetime customer with us, we will be coming back in summer for more financial and retirement planning(added bonus!) read more

Tax time for me is usually stressful, and I don't have complete confidence in the do it yourself tax software. After quite a lot of online searching, I decided on Expert Tax & Accounting in Tempe. Setting my appointment, the staff was very helpful and friendly. When I arrived for my appointment, Paul came out to greet me, with no delays and in minutes we were busy on my taxes. If only doctor appointments were like this! Paul has a very pleasant and calm manner, but knows the questions to discover deductions that would have been missed. Yes, he gave me homework to do! I was able to email him the additional information, and it was well worth it. My completed taxes were professional and stress free. Expert Tax & Accounting is an awesome team that are very knowledgable and efficient. Plus their customer service and communication skills will take the stress out of anyone's tax situation! Expert Tax and Accounting has been our Tax preparer for years. My husband have been getting his Tax done for 17 years and I have been having mine there for 12 years now. Everyone was very professional, knowledgeable, and very nice people we use to go see Tom and after he retired we go to see Paul and he is extremely patience and nice he explains and discuss everything to us.
