Went to get just basic French on both hands and feet. Arrived there at 10:30 and didn't leave until around 1:30. Picked a $45 pedicure and was of course expecting French and gel to be extra so that service came out to be $70 which was fine. When it came to getting the full set; that's what took forever. Once my tech was almost done I asked if she had any gems that she could add to two of my fingers to which she said no but offered to add a glitter line instead. Before I could even say yes she was rushing to grab her things to leave so she was replaced with a different tech. This new tech started to apply the glitter but stated that she couldn't do it after a few attempts. She then started to thicken the French stating that my nail was visible (did not need her to do that) however, she couldn't do that either. She then left and yet another tech came to finish my nails. So I was done by 3 people. Once I went to pay, I was told that my price was $170. I've neverrrr paid that much for some nails. So I asked exactly why they were that much. They called my original tech and put her on speaker for me. As stated earlier my toes were $70; $20 for French and gel. My set was $100 for French, shape, gel, and glitter. The ladies then informed her that I did not get the glitter so that brought it down to $165..... This is not a $165 service. For that much I should've walked out with an intricate design but this is basic French we're talking about. Only thing I can say that was great was them was sweet. They offered drinks when I arrived and I was seated immediately. The place is very nice but the quality of the service is not all that to be charged like this. I visited this place back in August for a Gel-manicure: First: THEY CHARGE 10$ to remove gel-polish, when no other place does! I was totally blindsided by this fee, as it was unexpected , seeing how no other place I've ever been to charges for the removal of gel polish!!? lol a joke! My wife went to get her nails done yesterday and had a horrible experience. The front desk lady (the same person we'll get to later) gave her weird looks as soon as she walked in and was very unfriendly. My wife wanted almond-shaped nails but her nail tech gave her square-cut nails instead saying her nails were too short for almond. They were very long but looks like the nail tech wanted to do square since they're much easier to do and require less effort. The same front desk lady said something to her in their language speaking about my wife. Her nail tech cut her nails too short and didn't do the best job. She also cut her on three fingers and instead of apologizing told my wife "You're too tense, that's why I cut you, you need to relax your hand". My wife also had a gift card to redeem that was issued 4 years ago. Three days prior to her appointment, my wife went into the nail salon to make sure she could use her gift card for Monday to make sure there wouldn't be any issues. The male employee and a young female employee were really nice and told her it's not a problem at all, gift cards don't expire. So when my wife went to check out the same unfriendly front desk lady tried to cause her issues and repeatedly said "You can't use that it's old it's too old" and was rude. My wife explained to her that she came in days ago and the male colleague sitting over there told her it wouldn't be a problem. The lady kept repeating herself regardless. My wife was disappointed because all of the employees in the store were making jokes and laughing at her. No one stepped in to tell their rude coworker to stop. They kept saying "Oh she's young" as if to say my wife was giving attitude. Even the male employee she saw days ago didn't step in. In the end, my wife stood up for herself and used her gift card. She told them she would never be coming back. Not only did they do an awful job, but no one stepped in to tell their co-worker to not treat their customer like that. They gossip about their customers the whole time. It's such an uncomfortable environment to be in. The total service cost $70 ($35 manicure + $35 pedicure). I went with a bridal party to get our nails done for my best friends big day. I got my toes done by Handsome and he was the best nail tech i've EVER had!!! Well he was busy (very understandable) and did not have time to do my set of nails so when someone else became available, they grabbed me and got me started. I showed him the picture i wanted and he said "i'm not going to do that" and then said he's got it from there. He cut up my fingers several times, didn't clean the nail beds and did not listen to my suggestion at ALL. They turned out horrible and i couldn't do anything because the bridal party had things to set up before the big day and i had no time. i paid $80 for this set.... and they're HORRIBLE. do not get your nails done here unless it is by handsome or lucky. read more

Called to get an estimated time to get nails removed. Lady on the phone told me it would take 10 minutes. I walked right over since I was in the shopping center. Her 10 minutes turned into an hour. Only reason I was able to get out of there within an hour was we asked how much longer. The male worker immediately came over and removed my nails which took less than 10 minutes however I waited over 50 minutes for someone to see me. Then she never asked what shape dipped nails I wanted so I told her when she got out the nail file. Finally as she's filing, she files my actual fingers and they started bleeding of course, then sprayed alcohol on them and I immediately starter crying. I was in town for an event and the location and appointment for our nails was pre-booked by someone else so I didn't have any knowledge of this salon prior to coming in. We had gel mani/pedi services. The salon appeared clean and the workers were somewhat friendly, they definitely were not rude, but a younger one interacted with us quite a bit and the rest of them didn't but it could have been due to a language barrier. (I was not upset about this and this aspect of my review is not a reason for the lowered stars.) My disappointment came from the following: 1. They used a CHEESE GRATER on ALL of our feet!!! (The is ABSOLUTELY in VIOLATION of the Louisiana Board of Cosmetology!!) Which I posted pics for you to see!! The salon I frequent (in a different state) made me aware of this problem and so I looked up the Louisiana Laws for manicurists and was able to see that for myself. 2. I had a person doing my hands and another person doing my feet simultaneously, which was fine, but I wasn't able to pay as close attention to their work. I had asked them to add another coating of red to my fingernails as it was semi-transparent and I didn't like that but the worker left it and did not add more polish. I also asked her to make sure she gets the polish closer to the cuticles on 3 of my fingernails as there were significant gaps. She did fix that for the most part. I'm unhappy with the final product for my mani because I can see the slightest of dirt etc through my still semi-transparent nails! :( I don't feel like you should be able to see through dark red polish. My pedicure was better as it was a by a separate worker (a male) and he made the polish darker. However, he hit my toe on the portable UV light machine that they use and there was a significant blemish on the nail (wasn't smooth and looked bubbly etc) but he did not address it nor fix it or bring it to my attention! I discovered it about 30-45 mins later when I was getting ready for the event I was attending in town. I realize that it was my fault for not seeing it before I left but having 2 UV lights on my hands and feet going back an forth from left to right makes it a little more difficult to notice when it's all occurring at once. 3. The items used did not come out of fresh packaging, nor did I see any packaging at all. I cannot say for sure if they were used previously. I can only say that they did not present it to any of us in a way to show us they were new or clean. This includes files, pumice stones, clippers, etc. My regular salon always has everything in packages and makes it clear that they are all new and/or cleaned properly. 4. I paid $200 for a gel mani/pedi for 2 people. I was not pleased with the overall work and appearance due to the thin coating placed on my hands and the fact that my mani began chipping from the base of my nail by the 3rd day on 3 different fingernails. My pedi was much better than my mani but the obvious mistake on my toe nail should have been addressed and fixed. I don't mind paying these prices if the work is done correctly. I have a problem with the cost when the work is subpar. Using a banned device (the cheese grater or any other type of blade as well) left me no option but to give 1 star in itself. The risk of infection from such devices is quite high as they can potentially cut your skin and introduce bacteria and fungus into your body, which nail salons are breeding grounds for those types of infections and put all of the clients at high risk. I am disgusted to know that I was potentially exposed to these infectious substances by their intentional and careless acts. It is the responsibility of each the employees to have a license and to be knowledgeable of the laws and regulations in their fields. They clearly do not have the knowledge they should have, or they are intentionally ignoring the rules of the Louisiana Board of Cosmetology. Either way, they are in violation and it is unacceptable. If you're not aware of how devastating skin and nail infections are then I suggest you do a quick internet search and you will discover some pretty horrific tales. Brought my granddaughter in to have her nails oaked so they could "breathe" before she got gel again. They told me they can't do just a soak off and that she had to do a manicure too. They said they would add a clear polish on her nails. Well when she was done they added a gel clear coat. They do not understand what the customer clearly wanted - a soak off with manicure. This was my second visit to this nail salon and I will NEVER come to this place again. I haven't been to get my nails done in over a year due to covid so I thought I would treat myself for my birthday. I should have spent my money somewhere else. The owner, Tu did my nails and she was very distracted the whole time I was sitting in the chair. She was constantly talking to other employees, looking off, getting up and listening to everyone but me. She asked me the same questions over and over again. That's how I knew she wasn't listening. She was paying more attention to incoming customers than she was to me. I guess she was trying to get as many customers in as possible. My patience ran out and I had to stop her before she completed my nails. My nails looked awful!!! The shape was all wrong and the nails were not smooth but bumpy. She didn't put much effort into my nails and it showed. Her technique was rough and sloppy. I was in the chair to get a pedicure when I asked her to take the nails off and I also told her that I didnt want a pedicure anymore. I was frustrated at that point. I just couldn't believed the service I was receiving. She went to get another nail tech, Jenna....very sweet and she had a professional demeanor. She attempted to correct the mess Tu made but I felt like they should have just started over. I paid and left but when I got in my car I wasn't pleased. I called Jenna on my way home and told her that I wasn't satisfied and I wanted the nails removed. She told me the manager did not offer refunds. I wasn't expecting a refund but the manager aka owner aka Tu could have offered to have someone else re-do my nails. That's just good business... making sure the customer is satisfied so that they will continue to come back. She messed up and was not willing to correct it and for that I will never return nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone. I am writing this review sadly after using this nail salon for about 2 years for one acrylic set and multiple gel pedicures. One time I brought my friend here and her nail guy questioned why here feet were shaped differently... which I feel is super rude. I went back one more time after that experience and this is what happened: my nail person started by talking to me about penile cancer. No I did not in any way coax that conversation out of him. At this point, everyone in the salon is staring at me (yikes). Second, when I chose my color he made fun of it and proceeded to tell me that black (which is a very normal color to choose) is the color of Satan etc etc and tried to get me to choose another color. These people also use something like a cheese grater on your feet for pedicures which I read a review listed on here and that is outside their scope of practice and isn't allowed in Louisiana. Then he hit my toe on the UV light and messed my polish up and proceeded to blame me for it. When I asked if he was going to fix the polish he patronized me about it. Lastly, I mentioned that I was a nursing student and am going to be an ICU RN in 4 months... he said that the reason they're giving nurses bonuses is because they're dying of covid. Overall, this was the worst experience i've ever had at any store or restaurant (and I once went to Chili's and they didn't even feed me) I mean this was excessively awful. As a customer for years, I will never go back. I would say it was just that one nail tech, but the whole store heard how he was treating me and never said a thing. This was the worst experience I have EVER had. I am in a sorority in the area and have been told by other members to never get my nails gone here, however I just needed mine removed so I didn't think there would be an issue. Little did I know I would sorely regret this decision. I walked in and they said they could remove my nails. I went to the chair and once I sat down an older man started by taking a CUTICLE CLIPPER and tried to PULL off my dip nails. When I told him it hurt he took a nail tip and tried scrapping them off of my actual nail. After I said that hurt as well he put my nails in acid tone and let them sit for 30 minutes while he helped another customer. THEN he came over to check on them and he told me I needed to scrub my nails off. I then asked him how much longer it would be and he said it depended on how well I could scrub off my nails...... At this point everyone in the salon was very confused at what was going on. While I scrubbed my nails waiting for anyone to help me, the ladies continued to seat walk ins and start on them. Finally I told him I had to leave and I just needed him to put a clear coat on. He then took the nail tool and ran it over my acid soaked nails, and TORE. THEM. UP. He then told me that the clear coat would be $15. I said no, stood up and went to pay. When I finally saw my nails I fell to tears. The lady at the front desk saw them too and started apologizing. She offered to try and fix them but how do you fix something that is gone? She said that there must of been a language barrier. How was what I wanted confusing? She didn't make me pay but I am so disappointed with my nails. This place is a disgrace, and this man should have his license revoked. I was not impressed with this salon, and neither was my mom or sister. The three of us each got a manicure. It is way overpriced. $20 for a regular manicure? I live in Washington DC where everything is expensive. The most I've paid here was $18, while the average is $15. It's worth mentioning that you can get a gel manicure for $25 in DC! The prices weren't posted anywhere that I could see, which seems sketchy. Those things aside, the manicure itself was nothing to write home about. The woman cut me when trimming my cuticles, there was barely a hand massage, and she didn't clean up the polish that was on my skin surrounding the nail. I got a black polish too, so it's not just me being super picky, but obvious she didn't care to finish. On all of our manicures, they didn't paint the nails to the bottom of the nail bed, leaving a gap, and making the manicure instantly look a few days old. I should've just done it myself. My mom's polish was on so thick, she ended up peeling it off the next day, because it was driving her crazy. We also had to pay after, and fish our cards out of our wallets with wet nails. A fail on their part. I'm only giving this place two stars because it's been 4 days or so, and the polish hasn't chipped yet, and the place seemed clean. I will not be going back. read more

I still spent $15 bucks grand total of $80!!! $35 for the pedicure and $45 for nail refill it was extra for gel nail polish of $15!! And $5 to barley trim my nails. Way too much that's just ridiculous. I wouldn't go here for my all the time nail spot. When I get the same or better quality else where.
