I went to Express, and that's where I met Jade and Karen. They were absolutely amazing. They spent a full hour helping me find a dress, always smiling, never rushing me. They even helped me in the fitting room with so much patience and kindness. Thanks to them, I finally found something that worked. I am very disappointed with the level of customer service I received during my recent visit. I was speaking with an attendant to get clarification on the "buy one, get one 50% off" promotion when another employee a young woman with poofy hair abruptly interrupted our conversation in a very rude manner. I politely asked the attendant if she could check the price of a pair of jeans for me, and the other employee again inserted herself into the conversation and said, "You can scan it." Her tone was dismissive and disrespectful, which completely caught me off guard. I was genuinely shocked that she felt comfortable speaking to a customer that way. When I reacted to the situation, she then told me that I needed to "change my attitude," which only made the interaction even more inappropriate and unprofessional. The way she spoke to me was classless and distasteful. I frequently shop here and spend my hard-earned money at this store, so this experience was extremely disappointing. Robin was tremendous! I needed a dressy/sexy black dress so I could see me struggling.  We found a dress or two, then she mentioned some she knew were in the back and a bit daring. There's no way I could have found that myself! When trying on the dresses, she helped me realize I've been wearing the wrong size (pleasant surprise)!  Checking out the associate discovered my profile was incomplete, so he helped me complete it. The last two locations I've shopped didn't bother. This Express location is a solid store, of course, due to quality clothing and variety, but what elevates it is staff like Robin and this associate. I used to work for a newspaper. I'm ex-press. So are the employees here apparently. And you can quote me on that in tomorrow's first edition. At this extremely expensive store inside this insanely busy NorthPark mall in Dallas right off the highway, we had about 10 minutes to browse around and didn't find anything awesome that we would have wanted. Express has the most difficult return policy. If you order online and use their prepaid label to return clothes they charge you $6.99 without notification. I noticed the extra charge to my credit card days later. They also don't issue you a refund for your returned items for over a week. If you try contacting customer service via email, your email will get responded to in 5-10 days. This last time it took 8 days for someone to respond to a question I emailed in. They don't seem to have a huge push for customer care. read more

This location has the biggest selection out of the DFW locations. If another store doesn't have it, this one will. Express stores has become a "discount" retailer. So that means the service you get form here is similar to some of the folks that are employed by Wal-Mart since they are alwasy having a sale. The only difference is they dress nicer, but the bad attitude is still there. This is not with all the staff, but I'd say a majority. Customers tear up the store. The staff can't straighten as quick and it looks a mess. Reminds me when Old Navy popped up in DFW and people went crazy since the price point was so cheap. Express has better quality clothes tho. On one of my visits I had a girl who refused to help me and make up some store policy, made a fellow co-worker assist and he went right to work. On another visit, I did have the pleasure to work with a guy who was really helpful and knew sizing well and fitted me. I bought a suit that day. The store itself did undergo a nice and well appointed remodel to match the North Park theme, but yet, you can't hide poorly trained, unhelpful and lazy staff. Tsk Tsk. read more

Now, while my relationship with Express has been a bit complicated over the years, I am still a fan. This location probably has one of the biggest selections if you are a fan of the Express. What's a little bit more appealing these days is their selection of clearance items which has seemed to virtually grow overnight. It's sometimes hard to drop $60 on a nice button-down dress shirt, but for special occasions its good to know the amount of choices who will have here are vast. The staff seems to have it together, I was helped out by a nice guy who felt my pain when finding difficult fits or sizes. He made sure they had want I wanted, even showed me other fits that were similar. The only downfall of this location is the line is always so long and there are usually 1-2 people ringing people up. Maybe its a staffing issue at peak times, but c'mon you are at NorthPark, its peak time all the time. A few days ago me and a friend went shopping here, my friend had a $50 off coupon so we only had to pay $123 for 3 items. Unfortunately, they dont fit very well so I had to come back the next day to exchange for a different size. I told one of the staff here (a young black girl with curly hair) that I want to do a SIZE EXCHANGE, but she said I would have to do a refund/return for the old items first, then pay for the new items that I want afterwards ( Really ???! WHAT KIND OF EXCHANGE POLICY IS THIS ???) Things started to get even more frustrating when it's time to pay for the new items. I just only want to do a size exchange for the EXACT SAME ITEMS, so why would she charge me $50 more than the original amount that I paid before (pictures below) ??? I told her to verify the amount again, since I bought the old items with a $50 off coupon, there's no reason in hell why I would have to pay the discount back when doing a size exchange. She rudely responded where my coupon is. Seriously ??? The discount coupon has already been used for the previous order a day before, and now she asked me where is the coupon, even with the old receipt in hand clearly showed a different amount ?? By this time, I was in for like 20 mins already and there was a lot of customers waiting behind me, so I decide not to waste time argueing with this rude lady over a measy 50 bucks. So I just paid the $50 and called it a day. Also she looks very unprofessional and annoyed througout the whole transaction with me. It's like she think I'm some kind of nuisances and just want to get it over with. I dont know whats going on in her mind but clearly thats not how you work a customer service job. Zero respect for the customers should be the first turn off. Basically I lost $50 just to deal with unprofessional manner and terrible customer service. I can understand store associates being rude and being foul. But when the store manager itself is the faulty party that is totally inexcusable. The store manager at this location is a petty fool who does not know any better. She wanted to charge my debit card twice because the first time the store associate ran my debit card a receipt did not print. But I have zero tolerance for such nonsense. So I knew better than to let her take my debit card again. I checked my debit card statement and saw the Express charge and corrected the store manager. To which she rudely replied that 'you can take your things.' When I wanted a receipt this grossly incompetent goblin of a manger replied that I would need to refund the transaction and purchase again. This is the slowest express I've ever been in. Not a big express shopper but both times I've been in here there's been a huge line with only 2 cashiers despite at least 5 other workers standing throughout the floor. Someone in front of me asked why another cashier couldn't come help expedite and the worker said this is the way their system works. Well they need a new system because this doesn't work well. Not quite sure why there are negative reviews of this place! Maybe its a new manager that has cleaned up this place. Staff was friendly and helped my wife find exactly what she needed. They offered suggestions for outfits that she could wear with what she found. No waiting in line...in and out in 10 min. Prices are decent...but the clothes aren't anything special. Typical Made In China/Bangladesh garb you find at F21 or Gap. Although there are some great sparkley tank tops for ladies. I can't do the men's clothes though....I'm not shaped like a 12 yr old boy. I'm a "healthy" married man. (grin) A XL isn't REALLY an XL...its more like a men's Medium. They need more variety of sizes. read more

Shopping with Express for 12 years I have seen the stores change and the styles change. One thing that shouldn't change is good customer service. Generally, most Express stores are in malls, so store staff see many people a day and can be very busy. I came in this afternoon to get a shirt for my bachelorette party and one of the employees immediately directed me towards the back where they had the shirts. She also let me know of all the sales they had going on and where to find the best deals. Wow! Thanks! I do want to point out that where they have their graphic shirts is EXTREMELY hot. Why is it so hot?! When I was checking out, the guy was super friendly and I understand retail might not be the happiest job ever but he CONVINCED me he actually enjoyed his work. Love it! Love this store, upbeat setting. The staffs here relatively helpful and friendly, except on once occasion, I was looking for a size S dress shirt and I couldn't find it in the color I wanted on the rack, so I asked a staff to look up the size of the shirt on the very top shelves. Instead of climbing on a stepladder to take a closer look, he squinted and "guesstimate" the size and told me it was an XS. I asked another staff to get it for me, and it turned out to be size S I was looking for. Despite the incident, I still like this store, merchandises somewhat friendly budget but they fit well on me. read more

I went on Monday 5/6/19 and bought several items. The girl at the register forgot to take the sensor off one of the items. The sensor thing did not go off and I didn't notice that there was a sensor until I wore the shirt to a meeting. I called the store on Wednesday (5/8/19), and one of the employees told me to just come in; I had explained to her that I could not come in until a certain time and that I had the shirt on and no receipt. She said that was fine. I went to the store and they were SO RUDE. I told them what happened and the manager did not apologize and the employees were so rude. One of the employees was pretty much accusing me of stealing the shirt and did not want to take the sensor off. The girl who checked me out was at the register and she acted like she did not remember me. I called corporate and they said that they could have found the item with my Express card, which I tried to give them. I will never go back to this store, everyone is rude but super nice when you're making a big purchase. read more

I love the customer service here, most people I've met at express has been very helpful and accommodating except this one woman who worked the dressing room on the night is April 13, 2017. She rolled her eyes at my boyfriend when we went back a second time to try two dresses for me close to closing time, but was nice to the customer after us in the dressing room. I don't know what her issue was with my boyfriend when he tried on dress shirts, but that's not a way to treat any customer. I walked into the store and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. One of the associates Cornelius or Mr. C was very helpful in assisting me. He helped me locate exactly what I needed and when I couldn't find my size he told me he would have them order my size and ship it to my house. At the cashier desk Pedro was very helpful in assisting me order my correct size even calling other stores to see if they had my size. Very attentive to the style of the pants that I was ordering to make sure they were correct before the order went through. Very impressed with my visit and can't wait to come back! read more

I have spent a lot at express and over 400 at this location. When I go the staff always seem nice and more than happy to helps to what I need. I have never noticed a bad attitude. Always a long line, and the cashiers are rude and act very annoyed if you have a return. Music is also WAY too loud, and the store layout is terrible. They're obviously trying to make you wind through as many racks as possible and it results in having to squeeze past ppl at every turn. read more
