It's unfortunate that the selection is great but the line on 5/23/21 was an hour long. I waited for 30 minutes and wasn't even halfway through before my baby lost her patience and I had to do. Seems like they don't have enough customer service people working. It's unfortunate so many businesses are dealing with this now. He measured me and when I found the jacket I wanted but could not find the size, he quickly went in back and found the one with the perfect fit. SHOUT OUT to the young man at the front of the store who I asked for a cart when I came in...saw me completely bogged down with bags...couldn't find one...and tracked me down in the hella long line to bring me one. Like...WHO *are* these employees, even? Y'all nice as hell. I love your asses. Oh yes...Oscar...This blessed saint of a man eyeballs my big ass cart. Each bag had to be processed separately. Yes, you heard that correctly. *Each* *Bag* had to be processed as a separate return. He literally took a deep breath, focused and was like...ok...let's do this. He was patient. He was kind. He was organized. He carefully folded things. Returned items to correct racks behind him. Kept a sense of humor. Didn't panic when his returns coworker had to take a bathroom break and was harangued by a customer who she helped, an he was left alone staring down a huge, unmoving line behind me as he could only help me. Whoever this man is....pat him on the back, give him a raise, a hug, a sincere thank you. Because he deserves him. If I could have tipped him, I would have. Basically...this place has awesome employees who are doing the best they possibly can...and they navigate some shit ass people, with shit ass attitudes...and I still think that they are spectacular as fuck. After entering a new decade recently, I've been wanting to upgrade my wardrobe. During a recent trip to The Shops at Park Lane, I was on the hunt for a pair of Ugg boots. DSW disappointed me by not having any boots left in my size. They had tons of sandals instead in preparation for spring. Someone recently suggested that I try Nordstrom Rack for shoes and I decided to pop in and see what I could find. To my surprise, they have really expanded their shoe selection. As a woman who wears a larger shoe size, it's difficult for me to find shoes. Nordstrom typically doesn't have any cute shoes in my size. Maybe they've received feedback that customers were not pleased with the lack of shoes and they have definitely stepped their game up (pun not intended). I found not one but two pairs of Ugg boots that I ultimately purchased and about 4 other pairs that I had to leave at the store! Needless to say, I will definitely be back and Nordstrom Rack will be added to my shopping rotation. read more

Great shoe department and lots of interesting things but can be overwhelming. I recently made the mistake of returning something on a Saturday. It took 30 minutes in the return line. The line for buying was totally full but moved faster with more cashiers, but it was a HUGE line. Some of the people buying were in the Return line - it's confusing, so we kept asking the people behind us if they were buying and told them they were in the wrong line. People working are pleasant. My favorite person is Kendrick! He is friendly and nice and always glad to help. read more

If this is the better of the two Nordstrom Rack locations, yall are really missing out. I usually cannot go into my NR in San Diego and be in there for less than two hours because of the INSANE amount of items to be touched, looked at and possibly purchased. This Nordstrom Rack is SAD. There were roughly 20 pair of Rock and Republic jeans, one small rack of Juicy stuff and a few pair of Trues stashed here and there. The selection was just pathetic. On the flip side and what kept this place from getting one star is their sunglass section is awesome. They have so many differnet brands and so many options within each brand. And to make it even better, they are organized extremely well. And as far as dudes stuff goes, the selection of items for dudes was way better. A huge rack of Diesel shirts and sweaters, a huge rack of Diesel jeans and tables upon tables of True Religions, Rocks, etc. But, regardless of that, I definitely would NOT make it a point to come back here on my next visit. read more

I found several items on sale and when I went to check out two of the items rang up $0.01!! I was shocked, what a great bargain. One of my favorite things about the Rack is that if your looking for a special size they will take you email and name and call you when they get it in. They also have YSL, Fendi, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade, and Coach. Score! You get a nice sunglass case as well from whatever brand shades you purchase. 3. PANTIES/LINGERIE/HOSE: If you come at the right time, they have hanky pankys The rack is ok for: 1. CLUTCHES/WALLETS: I got an adorable Hobo clutch from here for 75% off! I've also spotted some cute LAMB pieces here from time to time. It's pretty hit or miss, though 2. CLOTHES: hit or miss really. I went to look for my birthday dress and was beginning to feel discouraged when I stumbled upon an epic sequin dress in the clearance rack. For $24 it was a steal. I loved the section by the cashiers that convince you to purchase more beauty items. I travelled two hours to visit, bought two rings for $46 and got home the next day to see that the rings had already lost two stones and the other one was turning my finger green. I called the customer service number and they said call the store. The store associate (Karina) proceeded to hang up on me, then tell me they will send me a gift card, then change the story to say that I have to pay for shipping to ship them back, then that I needed to bring them in person next time I was in town. I've never been to Nordstrom Rack where I haven't purchased something or at least fawned over something and told myself to walk away. This location is pretty hit or miss for me. It has a good not great mix of brands, but I can't seem to understand their set up for how women's clothing is sorted out. My first experience with a Nordstrom Rack was at this location this week, and wow - there are some unbelievable prices there. I found several great wedding-appropriate dresses for under $40, which is pretty amazing. The clothes are bunched together on racks and you will not find 2 identical items - except for jeans and dresses. It reminds me of shopping at a consignment store. You certainly need time in this store to rummage. There is a good selection of shoes, although not any "everyday" types - it was all heels and boots. On a side-note has anyone else seen that Dr. Martins are making a comeback? The 16-year-old Goth kid inside of me is so excited. read more

OMG - love this store! They have a great selection of cloths, shoes, and bras. It's well organized and the dressing rooms are well tended. I found some great bras for CHEAP. I was also inpressed with the selection of dresses and sunglasses. It's fun to rummage here, but if you need to dash in for a quick "sumthin' sumthin'" to wear out that night, it is completely doable. read more

I don't know why everyone loves this nordstrom rack. I prefer to go to the one by the Galleria. This store is always such a mess. Clothes are thrown all over the place and left in piles. There isn't much organization to anything. It's difficult to find the right sizes because the racks are all intermixed. Even the selection of accessories is pretty minimal compared to the one by the galleria. It's difficult sometimes to find a staffer to help you out when needed. My mother, sister & myself all bought this same scent at Rack locations in Southlake, North Dallas & Arlington in old packaging for $29.99. I LOVE Nordstrom rack, especially the location and convenience of this particular one. However, I have had more than one bad experience with customer service here, which is unlike Nordstrom in general. On one occasion, the dressing room attendant yelled at me for giving a pair of shorts to my husband over the dressing room door to try on. Multiple people witnessed the incident and told me to shake it off (because apparently the guy was rude). I was so embarrassed and didn't think the incident deserved yelling at a customer who was obviously trying stuff on to possibly purchase. And on the other occasion, I returned heels that had been tried on by me and worn in my house for less than 5 minutes (to test out). When I tried to return, the lady called another person to see if I could return without the stickers (even though I had the receipt) and the manager of the shoe area questioned me "let's be honest, how many times have you worn these out?" I told her I would never wear and then return the same item, as I don't think that is right. She then scolded me and said she would let me return but that she shouldn't have let me. I have been a loyal customer to NR, especially this particular location, so I am disappointed at how I've been treated here in recent occasions. Yes, I am writing a review of a store on the day of its grand opening. That means I actually WENT to the grand opening. Indeed, I am insane. Under normal circumstances, I would never attempt to visit a store on opening day, but these were not normal circumstances. A Nordstrom Rack was opening less than 10 minutes from my house, for goodness' sake! This has always been a favorite store of mine, so I simply couldn't wait to check it out. The location is pretty cool - it's in an open-air shopping center on Park directly across Central Expwy from NorthPark Mall. Right now the only things open are Nordstrom Rack and Dick's Sporting Goods. Eventually they'll have several more clothing stores, a few restaurants, a gym, and a bowling alley (so excited about this)! Although it was a bit chaotic, I was able to scope out the layout of the store pretty easily. Accessories on side walls, men's clothing on the left quarter of the store, kids' stuff on the right quarter, women's in the center taking up about half the volume of the entire store. It looked like the shoe section is pretty large, which is great since Nordstrom carries so many fabulous shoes! I didn't attempt to wade through it though because it was crawling with people flinging shoes everywhere. I spent some time wandering through the "Contemporary" section which is like a combination of some juniors/20-somethings clothing - cute cotton sundresses, tank tops, t-shirts - and also some time in the general women's section. Both had a great selection of the types of things you would currently see in any Norsdstrom, NOT stuff that looked like it was from one or two seasons past. Let me just say that the finer jeans section boggled my mind. Racks and racks of William Rast, Joe's, Hudson, True Religion, Citizens, Sevens, AG, Paige, etc, etc...I was in heaven! I peeked at some price tags, and they are definitely preferable to regular Nordstrom prices - one pair of Joe's that I glanced at cost $79, compared to about $140 in a regular store. I will definitely be back for an intense jeans shopping session when the crowd dies down - I just did not have the patience today to wait in the dressing room line. The one thing I was pretty disappointed in was the finer dress selection. I went in hoping to find a cute dress to wear to some upcoming spring and summer weddings. I was definitely surprised by how few dresses they had. I am sure they will be bringing in new stuff pretty frequently, so it might get better. But that is the #1 thing I was looking for when I went there, and there were only 2 tiny square racks to pick through, which is not impressive. Of course all the employees were super friendly for the grand opening - we will see if they remain as cheerful as the newness of the store wears off and the corporate representatives disappear! In the end, I picked up a cute green short-sleeved blouse ($14.95) and a pair of Marc Jacobs sunglasses (only $34 compared to the usual $120)...things that did not require a trip to the fitting rooms. I'll reserve my 5th star for now since this place is brand new, but I can see it quickly becoming my new favorite shopping venue! read more

The grand opening of Nordstrom Rack was months ago, yet I have not gone. This was a major oversight on my part because this place is greatness! If you dig designer jeans, they have them for cheeeeeeeaaaap! Joes jeans for about $70-80 (regular $150 and up), True Religion, Paige, Seven, Rock and Republic, and a LOT more. DIRT CHEAP compared to how much I normally pay. They also have men's designer jeans as well (Lucky jeans were $40). Not to mention tons of shoes on sale! Who doesn't love a shoe sale?!? AND AND purses marked down to less than $200 from their regular price of $600. I would agree with the other reviewer that the dress selection is small but it is still there...anything from sundresses to work appropriate dresses to formal dresses. Dude, this is your mecca to get cute designer stuff for less cash. Plus you can buy birthday and Christmas gifts for your friends and look like you spent hundreds when you really didn't....but THEY don't have to know that. read more
