Received a 4.5 month contract to hire position with a 3D Printing Company, locally. Dealt with Melissa at the Irvine location and everything seemed great. Staff seemed friendly and receptive. Had 2 LONG interviews with this Company and secured the position. However, when I reported to my new job, it was terrible off the bat. Company was questionable and I was treated like...well, a "temp". The position totally changed from what was explained during my interviews. Hardly any training was provided during my time there and I was literally thrown to the wolves with zero support with an expectation to just "figure it out". I came in with a smile on my face and a positive attitude despite how I was being treated. I was subsequently let go for no reason after EIGHT DAYS (actually heard pieces of the conversation between one of the owners of said company and someone at Express - but ended up working the whole day, anyway) and absolutely no one at Express ever wanted my feedback (even when I had received my call telling me not to go back - it was cut and dry - zero empathy) and now I feel I have been completely "ghosted" by everyone at Express. I understand business is business but to just treat someone like this is so unprofessional and I want others to know the risks of working with your agency. You should do a better job at throughly screening your clients and completely understanding their requirements prior to placing your "employees". This was a total no win scenario for me and a set up for failure. What a waste of my time. read more

I was contacted a week ago to go in and do all the proper paperwork. The lady let me know my recruiter would be calling the next day. A whole week went by and not a single call or email so I went ahead and contacted them and asked what was going on. The lady wouldn't give me any information just the position is no longer available and I have to wait 90 days for another chance to apply for another job. So I asked for hr to contact me bc I wasnt comfortable giving ALL MY INFORMATION and being told someone would contact me the next day and never did then couldn't even get some sort of reasoning why I can't even get a direct answer to any of my questions lol. Just seems a little shady to have ppl go in and give all personal information just to be blown off. And I have yet to hear back from their HR. What's the point of this agency if they refuse to even answer a simple question?? Very very upset and will be contacting again if I don't hear back from HR. This company is truly phenomenal. I was able to get an excellent job as an HR assistant which was crucial for me because I am graduating with my bachelors this May and was struggling to get an entry level HR position. The person who helped me out was Melissa. She is nothing short of amazing ! She recommended me to the company I work with now, set up the interview and even did a follow up call with me after the interview. What a committed agency! I was let-go of my previous job and was actively seeking employment. I found Express Employment Professional through LinkedIn. I applied and was immediately connected to an agent. Soon after, they immediately got to work to find me employment and treated me very well. As soon as they found a match, they immediately scheduled me for an interview. Melissa Wall was my assigned agent and was very polite, kind and professional. I did not feel Parker ( recruiter) was being transparent. I was advised of an immediate CNC machinist position. Parker requested l meet with him and fill out an application which l did and also provide a copy of my drivers license (Friday April 16th, 2021). Parker indicate l would be interviewing with the client on the following Monday or Tuesday. After not hearing from Parker or his client l followed up with Parker on Wednesday of that same week, at which point Parker explained that l wouldn't be interviewed for another week to two weeks. That was the first Red flag for me . The second red flag occurred when l was sent a "Safety Video" which advised that l would be an associate of Express and would be paid by them. Had l known this l never would have submitted an application. I felt that information was being omitted until after they had my application. My unease grew and finally called Parker to rescind my application and to have it returned to me with the copy of my DL. He stated that he never took a copy of my DL. When l reminded him that he had done so he said he need it for an I9 document and then said he had shredded it. Why ask for the copy of my DL only to shred it? He then indicate that he had located the copy and would return it to me but only after l asked why take a copy in the first place? I can only determine that the copy miraculously appeared because Parker realized his explanation made no sense. This conversation solidified that l DID NOT want to have any dealings with this staffing agency. I do realize that Express can still have all of my information which l find regrettable but l've learned a valuable lesson, not to trust anyone until you see clear cut evidence of a serious employment opportunity. read more

I had been unemployed for almost two months until Express found me a perfect job in less than a week of interviewing with them! I had been searching and searching, interviewing and interviewing, for what seemed like forever. I was signed up with already three or four temp agencies, but I was getting nothing. Then Jasmine from Express gets ahold of me through email after I applied to an opening for a job position on CareerBuilder.com. I call in to schedule an interview like she asked, and set one up with Melissa Arnold. Let me just say, Melissa is awesome! She was nice and friendly, and made everything sound really easy. She had two jobs in mind for me and said that if I was interested in them, she would forward them my information. And she did. Now, I met with Melissa on a Wednesday. By Friday, she had gotten back to me about one of the two jobs saying that she submitted my info, but that the person doing the interviewing would be out of town the next week, but she would keep me posted about the other job. Later that day, she called me back about the other job and said that they were interested in me and wanted to see me Monday. So, Monday before my interview, Melissa calls me and makes sure I'm ready, and if I've gone over the helpful interview tips she'd emailed me days before. I would constantly email Shelly if she had any news about the position and she always responded, but always with nothing new. I have signed up with other employment agencies and they always contacted me for open positions, Express is the only one that has never once called me for a position available. This is my honest review of their company. I recently applied on line and quickly received a call from Shelly to come in for an interview. I was scheduled for an interview with them next day. During the interview I was asked about my past employment, skills, and what I type of position I was looking for. I worked closely with Shelly and Jazmin to find a position that met my qualifications and desired salary. The following day, I was scheduled with two interviews for interested companies. Jazmin knew of a particular position that I was perfect for and recommend that the company should reconsider interviewing me although they required more experience. After her persistent efforts, I was granted an interview. I received an email with the addresses, interview times, company details and a document that would help prepare me with possible interview questions. I felt completely prepared and was given instructions on how to fill out an Express time card to get paid for interviewing. Immediately after my interview I received a phone call from Express that I was offered the position. They negotiated by salary and gave me all the information needed to start my new position that following week. Overall, I definitely recommend Express Employment Professionals in Irvine. I applied on line on a Wednesday, went to their interview on Thursday, interviewed for a company on Friday, and started working Monday! I couldn't be happier! As I sit here and write this is could not and will never feel I can describe in detail what this branch did for me in its full capacity. I was to point in tears when I got a call from I belive jasmine she said hey we like your resume and I feel you would be a great candidate for a position I have. It made me feel so wanted after being turned down multiple times that week in other jobs. I said yes sure I'll go to an interview her not knowing I was crying on the other end trying to figure out how I was going to pay rent. I had an appointment with Melissa Wall, the most unprofessional person Ive ever met. I waited for her for about 10 minutes and then she came in and told me I was late. I corrected her and told her that I had been there on time and waiting for her. She said since I had not filled out the online application and had only emailed my resume to her that I needed to leave and not come back and that she wouldnt help me in the future! I explained that Im currently working days and nights and this was my first day off and that I could fill out her application today in the office. She said she didnt have time for that and refused to help me. I wasted my time and gas on them. Go anywhere else but Express. Other places are helpful and nice, not rude and unprofessional. By the way, I was on time and dressed in nice heels and a high collared and long sleeve blouse- very professional. Mitch told me when I signed up with them that if he couldn't place me in 3 months, they wouldn't even be accepting my resume. Well, it's been several months now and I have to call 2-3X a week to make myself available but they've never approached me with a position. I get teases though.
