nice friendly white guy will come to your house to tell you what you want to hear, luring you with alleged "discounts" to lower the total cost but on day one you will be charged the full amount and those discounts will never happen. note there are other reviews here that show similar experiences. their carpet selection was pitiful, i recommend using a separate carpet installer than can provide a wider range of carpet samples. they use the cheapest carpet they can find to maximize profit. I specifically asked for double the carpet padding to maximize the comfort of the carpet even if it raises the floor higher than usual. the sales guys said he would instead "upgrade" me "for free" to the better padding that will accomplish what I want. The padding that arrived looked and FELT exactly like any other padding I've always had from any carpet installation. the people that show up to do the work are underpaid PoC that speak little to no english so if there are any concerns it's incredibly difficult to communicate them to the installers. the installers did a great job, but this company doesn't care about their workers or their customers. not satisfied with the work? they've already got their money so they'll just ghost you like your ex. The lady I've been dealing with sent a final email asking if I was happy with my service and I expressed my concerns about the carpet nails were actually poking my feet and asked where those alleged discounts went and have not heard back. read more

They came down but were still over the price we had spoken about. **They knew our price from the jump and kept telling us they would keep trying and use as many deductions they could.*** I was told if I slimmed down the rooms I wanted it might work. I took off a very large portion and out stairs. They came back with a price out of budget and kept the stairs in when we said we would take those out. I asked to review our carpet selection and inquired about stretching what we currently have in the area we were willing to not do. This is when it all fell apart. 0 Star - Do Not Recommend - Terrible Experience I regret choosing Express Flooring for my home carpet install completed in May 2022. I am writing this review 4 years later because there have been issues they refuse to take responsibility for. The installation was rushed and the workmanship was very poor. Carpet seems old and falling apart, transitions were sloppy and not done properly, carpet is fraying at every transition, seams were done poorly and are visible. Customer service has been a complete nightmare. It's almost impossible to get ahold of anyone for warranty issues or fixes, and when you do reach them, they are unhelpful and defensive. They did not stand behind their promises or "lifetime" warranty as advertised. I strongly suspect they pay to appear in the top search results. I would warn others to do your own due diligence and not rely solely on Google star ratings. Save yourself the headache and money -- go with a more reputable local installer. They took forever! Wrecked a lot of stuff in the house and even broke toilet and used it for weighing down the transition strips. Left such a mess. I was not even there when they said they were finished and someone signed my name as complete. The salesman was great so great I believed I was getting everything I wanted. Well when they came and started tearing up my house they said they could not do anything without new subfloor, mind you, I did have the carpet pulled back for the salesman to see so he new everything about the floor. So come I get a call saying payment did not go through, don't know why but I guess it was the universe telling me something was going to go wrong here. They tried to get paid before the guys started and were only "in route to me ". I told them I said to everyone who listened I would pay when done because the salesman told me they like to get paid and then take forever to finish or even start so they were not getting anything out of me besides the deposit until work was done and to specks. And wouldn't you know that the day they were to start before the guys found out the payment was not finished, I got that call that they were delayed! When the did show up no one spoke to me and they had to have a kid come to the site to translate which is fine but unprofessional not to be ready to be able to communicate with the customer. So the house was completely empty and the carpet guy rushed through it and left before the other said he could not give is what we ordered because they needed subfloor. After what they said on the phone with the kid calling me. "the job is done" I said I can be there in 20 min they said ok. Of course I can wanted to see it before they leave but they left and someone signed off on the job in my name and they were long gone. I walked into a mess; they cut and left the dirt everywhere. They left all the mess on the floor to weigh down uneven work, broke toilet, gouged newly painted walls, put hole in wall behind toilet they broke and knocked off fixture on tub that ripped off the drywall. So all this time later they finally agreed to send someone to look at the damage and fix, discount or come to some sort of arrangement. I said don't send the same people. They said sure and guess what I get a message saying they are there I say on my way. I then say you are not the same person they said no. I get there it is the school kid and his dad and I said I asked you if you were the same? He said he forgot the house. They looked at everything, disagree with some things until the pictures came out and then blamed the carpet guy and said i need to get the new subfloor to match the others or it will remain a safety hazard not to mention it moves so much it will break when finally able to move in. They said they would fix it told me a guess cost and said I will have to pay for it. I asked him since he said it was a safety hazard why did they leave it as they were the ones that did it. No real answer just a bunch of sorry I we should have seen it. Last thing, when the contractor was onsite one time, I was heavily questioned about my imitation status and where I come from and who do I work for???? I answered all the questions honestly. He wanted to know why my hat had a flag on it. Hopefully something gets done as I will not finish the payment until the service I was promised is done. I should consider myself lucky that because they didn't get the full payment before they started they have to still work with me. Be safe and pay attention to how good they promise. During the appointment, the rep measured, was very pleasant and began asking questions about my price point. When he gave me a couple of ranges, I told him where I was comfortable, and funny enough what they happen to have in stock was right in that price range. When I told him that we weren't ready to pull the trigger, he looked at me like I had two heads, and I was complete disappointment. The next day I got a phone call that they just happened to have my carpet "still in stock" and could drop the price another $2000. if that's what you can donate job for, then give me the right price first time out. I continued to get daily phone calls "from corporate" saying they could piece together the carpet I picked. Nope. High pressure, awful price and shock and awe that I didn't book right then and there. We asked for a quote to replace the poorly installed tile plank with luxury vinyl plank. The agent came out and gave us a quote of 38,500. We balked and he came down to 34,000. We balked again. "How much do you want to spend?" I said 25,000. He "called" his manager and got to 24,800. All these quotes were based on "only today". We signed up. They were going to use low quality products. The contract stated that payment is due at the START of installation. That leaves no leverage for bad jobs or damage. We cancelled the contract within the 3 days. The "manager" called directly after a couple of hours and offered the job for 14,900. I declined again. It doesn't seem like a upstanding business. read more

In the year of out lord 2025, I cannot express how much I hate being treated different or less than because I am a woman. It is stupid, and reckless for any man to treat anyone poorly because of sex identity. I met with salesperson paul from express flooring (no link, but www.expressflooring.com)...I greeted him at our appointment and let him know that I could NOT approve anything without discussing it with the powers that be. I am replacing terrible floors (pet damage-it's bad) that i have to replace while the elders are in skilled nursing and acute rehab respectively.He said ok and we got to the appointment, picked out some flooring and went outside to pack up. He then says "let's get a deposit started to get you on the schedule as soon as possible" I said no, that is not what we discussed. He then says "let's get your husband on the phone". Go back and re-read that again. Yeah, so I said ok, and I got my husband on speaker and Paul gets a few words in about the deposit. My husband says that no, we are taking blind bids, and can give and give an answer in a few days. Paul gets pissed off and hangs up MY PHONE on my husband. I have made several phone calls to get someone, anyone to call me and have someone to speak to me about this stupidly ridiculous behavior. paul's boss calls my husband's phone. Not me, my husband. Leaves a message asking him to call back. ::I:: call him back, only to have him blow me off. I don't find out until he leaves another message about a family emergency. So I call back to their company again. I make it abundantly clear that I don't want to hear from anyone other than boss's boss. I have explained the misogyny several times to several people, all of whom assured me that they would have someone reach out to me because that behavior was unacceptable. Needless to say, no one has called me. Because of course a texas based company doesn't care about how their employees treat women customers. I thought maybe I could post something to their complaint site on Facebook, of course - neither link works. Absolutely shocking no one. So- no I wouldn't recommend them for any services whatsoever. I assume that their installation, service, quality are all below normal parameters. Since I am attempting to make sure that my elders get their flooring replaced in the safest possible fashion, I absolutely refuse to put them in danger. I had made arrangements with express flooring for March 11. I ended up postponing due to plumbing issues. When the sales person came to the house he quoted me $17,000. I called to postpone the original date March 11. Insurance will be paying for 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and hallway. After talking to the contractor I decided to use them to replace the entire house. I called express flooring to cancel everything. I then received a call giving me a new price for the entire house, $7761. They knocked $10,000 off the original price. That really surprised me. I texted the guy who sent me the new price telling it was a shady thing to do. I should have be quoted the $7761 when the sales person was at the house not now because I'm terminating my business with them. I've attached pics of the texts I sent and his response. There are no zeros. First, the salesman took a 1200 deposit on a quote of $14,000. That should have left a balance of $12800. They set up the financing, saying $5000 would be on one card, and the balance, which should have been $7800 would be with Fortiva. Fortiva sent me an agreement, which I declined to sign, stating I owed $10000. So, I am paying $16200 for my floors instead of the $14000 agreed upon. To make matters worse, they sent 2 people who did not speak English, and a girl who did. She was there for the first day, but not the second when they came back to finish. They turned my bed upside down over my desk and file cabinet. I work from home so my office is in my master suite. The bed frame is no longer attached to the headboard. They evidently sat my file cabinet in the glue, which they then sat on the new flooring, leaving a huge sticky mess that I cannot get off my new floor. They knocked a chunk of the floorboard out under my kitchen cabinets. My sinks were both left with sticky glue in them I am still trying to scour out 2.5 months later. I have called. But I don't get through and don't get return calls. i think maybe a class action lawsuit is in order. Is anyone else interested in filing a class action lawsuit? This company is overpriced and they send people I could have hired for $5k to do the entire house. Biggest mistake of my life trusting this company who has been around for years. My experience was in San Diego, California but of course, there's no Yelp for San Diego because they're probably hiding those beautiful reviews. Well, I am sorry to say that it was not the best, in fact, it was very bad. The technician, Brandon arrived inside the appointment window but more on the late side which was not an issue for me but apparently at the end of the visit it was for him. We had a conversation about my plans with the floor and I specifically told Brandon that at that point I was just looking for quotes and getting information in order to make a decision, he agreed to proceed. He conducted the measurements of the house in order to provide me and my wife with a quote, we selected the vinyl design that we liked and he provided the quote. Everything was going well until here. As soon as he provided the quote he asked us what we thought of the quote, I told Brandon that it was a bit on the higher side of what I was expecting but I trusted him and we were going to consider that offer. He asked us to take a few minutes and discuss if we wanted to move forward, we told him that this was our first time getting a quote and we wanted to take some time to think about it, his answer was "NO, if you don't make a decision now this offer will be gone, you will need to get another quote with a different visit in order to get an offer" We took some time to think about it but I am going to be honest, his behavior push us away and gave us a weird feeling about it, we were going to make that decision that same day in order to move forward but his pressure and unprofessional attitude closed that deal for us right at that moment. We took a few minutes, we talked about it and decided to wait, it was a great offer but at that point we had doubts on how everything was going, he waited outside while we talked and after a few minutes I asked him to go back inside the house and proceeded to tell him that we decided to wait and make a decision later. His demeanor changed, his face changed and his tone changed, he asked me why, I explained and he just said "I am just going to think that you're not educated enough to make a decision so it's ok, I am late for my next appointment" picked up his things in a upset mood and walked away without saying a word, no thank you, no call me if you guys make a decision, just walked away like we just waisted his entire day while he was the one who arrived late in the first place and basically push us out of the deal that he was about to close! One thing is that you don't agree with our decision, another thing is that he chose to work in a job of customer service were people open their doors trusting him and the company, for him to disrespect me and my wife in our home, I am Veteran and a retired police officer in San Diego and I am glad that both careers provide me enough education, patience and respect to deal with people like Brandon. Update: I requested my cancellation on 4/27/26 and got a call within 2 hours from the cancellation guy. I was told my down payment was being refunded. Here we are on 5/9 and still no refund. I have called 3 times in the past week requesting an update. I keep getting told "we can't reach the cancellation department, but requested they call you back". Danny Coker from the cancellation department called me once this past week, several days after my first call last Saturday. I was unavailable, and I returned his call within the hour. I got his voicemail. Meanwhile I continue to get DocuSign emails to sign for the change order. I've explicitly told them I am not signing and not moving forward. I told the customer service representative Shaunte, who is very nice, that if this isn't resolved in the next couple of days, I will be escalating this to my credit card company for a chargeback. I requested a quote to do vinyl flooring in my whole home. The sales guy came out and did his whole sales spiel, measured, and came back with a price that felt pretty high for the size of the home based on my research. He insisted he threw in every discount he possibly could to get my cost down. I agreed to move forward under the impression I'd get a copy of the contract with a full cost breakdown. This was Saturday morning and the work was scheduled to start the following Monday. Monday morning I realized I never got the contract they supposedly emailed so I called and requested one with cost of labor, materials, and so on. They assure me they'll send it right over. I get the email and there's zero information about the cost breakdown. I called back and get another rep who told me "we don't do that". I asked who I can talk to to get this information and was told to call the sales guy. At this point I'm feeling taken advantage of, so calling the sales guy wasn't something I wanted to do. The rep just insisted they don't provide that information to customers. You're telling me you don't provide a cost breakdown for a $32,000 flooring project?? I canceled right then and there. An hour and a half later, I get a call from the cancellation department. The guy was helpful and didn't try to convince me to move forward at first. Then he gave me their "final offer" and suddenly dropped the price down to $12,000, but I needed to move forward within 72 hours. That told me everything I needed to know about this company and their questionable business practices. Also their financing is a joke, 11.99% interest with a 15 year note. No thanks. If you want transparency, Express Flooring isn't going to give you that. I'll be shopping around with smaller, local companies. read more

On top of that, their installers caused damage to our recently renovated bathroom. Garbage. I thought the salesman was cool and then he promised unauthorized things for payment and it took two days to get the contract sent over. They do the whole 75% off thing which means it's not actually a deal it's just off the MSRP price. The samples vs the stock picture vs the installation picture are all different so my floors don't look like what I wanted. They offer you all these samples and when you finally pick one they tell you it's out of stock. The installers were nice but made the baseboards look bad and left holes. When they fixed it the caulking looks so bad. They didn't put all things back where they found them, carpet edges were bad and I had to ask them to vacuum their mess up. I forgot to ask Carlos to leave a remnant of carpet and he had forgotten his skid pads. I've made 6 calls to them with the last 3 being escalated and they have not made any attempts to reach out to me. This is my 2nd complaint about this company, first complaint, their response was the person who took care of calls was no longer there and this time they have an entire call center and yet they still have the same ethics as before. I live in a 2-story home and the lip to the stairs are lifting and if someone should fall due to this hazard then maybe it will be a much more serious issue for this company. They removed the toilet, and then put it back on after installation. During the following year, we noticed some water coming up from the floor tiles. They told us to bring in a plumber to inspect it, however, they would not pay for the plumber if in fact he came back and stated that the toilet was not installed correctly, thus not Express Floors issue! Add to the fact that we were very close to our 1 year warranty, they washed their hands. read more

they were sloppy. the floor itself went in well. first the connection to the ice maker was wrong, it exploded a day after installation. I had about $3000+/_ charges for restoration. they did pay for that but there is no guarantee mold will not develop in the future. the base boards were installed with fingerprints all over them. the driveway was left a mess with leavings after cutting the floor boards. one area behind a side of the home outside I found were they dumped some liquid that has hardened in the rocks. The most recent problem was the baseboard was nailed into a copper pipe. another $3000+/- for restoration with more flooding. I did not notify them of this last flood as yet. best to say they are sloppy, they do not have high work standards. They have a high rating with the BBB so those ratings can't be trusted. Subject: Express flooring I had express flooring install new carpeting in my bedrooms. However, when we removed the Murphy bed, the carpet had been installed around it. So there was a strip about 15 x120 inches that needs to be installed. I have enough carpet left over, but I have been calling Express flooring for weeks to have someone come out to lay a strip of carpet down, but nothing. I have called and talked to associates many, many times explain the situation. They promise to call from their service department. However, I still haven't heard from them after almost 2 months. They claim they called me, but there is no record in my call log, no voicemail or email communication from them. If you're looking for a beautiful floor and don't give a FLIP about the care that the installation team takes of your home, then go for it. Mind you, we prepped our space fully as requested by the company. Yet we have damage to a wall that requires more than a simple paint fix that they refuse to fix because they did a very poor job of removing a section of baseboard that ripped off the texture and drywall skin two inches above the base. (Their suggestion--just paint it. Sorry, that doesn't repair the SURFACE TEXTURE). They deal with moving your heavy furniture--great--but when they put together the bed frame again, they don't care that they have cracked an irreplaceable sideboard. (Their answer--attach an unsightly metal bracket.) Thanks I'll fix my own bed. And finally--which is most inconvenience, they TIED IN A TIGHT KNOT draperies to move them out of their way when they could have draped them over the rod--and IF they couldn't have managed that--they should have at least UNTIED them when they were completed with that particular room. They left them in a knot for me to deal with well after the room was completed and they'd moved on to cleaning up their mess. We have two rolls of removed carpet they were supposed to dispose of-admittedly their truck was pretty full by then--but they failed to come back and get it. Initially told that the installation might take 2 days, the install team was determined to knock it out in one. Well, they succeeded. But at the price of me being able to actually recommend this company. The company did send out an "inspector" to review the situation, and to date no satisfactory resolution has been made. Unless you have an empty house for them to work in, my advice is to look elsewhere. read more

I wish I would have seen these reviews first. Their company website makes it appear they are a reputable company. They are not! Here is my experience: I met with Eliel, a salesperson, who toured my house, understood my needs, was patient, and told me all about the discounts, including free furniture moving. He took my deposit and I scheduled installation for the following week. He advised me that they take the balance on the day they start installation. Installation day came; money was withdrawn. Installers didn't show up in the given time window. I called the company. Installers arrived an hour late. They were not aware they had to move furniture. They were not aware I had cats (both were allergic). They said they were not given a time window to be here. They backed out of doing the project. Company apologized and said they would installers out early the next morning and that my project would be completed by the contract agreement date. 9am next day, no one showed up. Company called a few minutes later and said the installer was sick, that they would see if the installer would be well enough to come out Friday -- the day the project was supposed to completed -- given the two to three day installation time. I spoke with Lindsay, who had assigned the installers, and asked her to compensate me for my wait time or cancel the project. She spoke to the operations manager who said neither had the authority to make such decisions and they would send it on to another department. I asked how long that would take and she didn't know. I told her to cancel the project, so she said she would notify the cancelation department. In the meantime, I contacted my credit card come and stop all payments and opened a dispute for the down-payment. While writing this review, the cancelation department contacted me for what happened and told me they would refund the entire amount. They offered me another discount and a "guaranteed" timeliness, etc., but it was a little too late. Money was no longer the issue; integrity was. Given the lack of follow through, horrible communication, choice of installers, etc., they already lost my business and any potential recommendations. One star for the salesperson; one star for the person who wanted to offer me a bigger discount and a guaranteed timeline. Too bad I wasn't transferred to this person prior to canceling. Then again, I don't feel I could have trusted a new timeline. I think my time is better spent looking for another company and hope it isn't a repeat of my disappointing experience with Express Flooring. read more

Note to the reader: I take detailed notes and keep excellent records. I give honest and un biased reviews. I liked the product, but the after sales service is TERRIBLE!. DO NOT BUY FROM EXPRESS FLOORING! 4/22/2025, the Express Flooring sales rep arrived. He was professional, knowledgeable and listened to our price limits, our color desires and was very helpful. A deal was struck for 3 rooms of flooring. 4/24/2025 @ 1220, four(4) installation techs arrived ( 1 Female and 3 male) she was the only one that spoke English. They completed about half the job, cleaned up and left the work site @ 1740. 4/25.2025 @ 0846, two (2) of the installation techs ,from the previous day arrived. They completed the three rooms, did a complete clean-up and left @ 1730. 5/13/2025, while cleaning the new flooring I noticed several end to end and long side gaps near on of the floor registers. Upon further inspection, I found several more in all three rooms. I took pictures and contacted Express Flooring service number. They connected me to ROSE and she gave me a case number and I sent her pictures. She stated that it would be 1-2 business days for a response. 5/16/2025, Called the Express Flooring service number and Sean said they "were backed up" and that he would add a note for escalation. 5/23/2025, Called the Express Flooring service number and Rose and added the flooring gap in the bathroom and the transition to a carpeted hallway. She stated 'we have a backlog of complaint/customer service issues." 5/28/2025, Called the Express Flooring service number and JAMIE added the pictures of the tub and hallway transition issues. "I will escalate," he states. @1430, Maribelle call and states " The inspector is on vacation and set up a date for them to come out on 6/5/2025, they would firm up time before that. 6/5/2025, @1113, Called Maribelle and left a voice mail. Called the Express Flooring service number and Jay said he would escalate the issue (again). Shea called me and I was mistakenly scheduled for 6/12/2025, although the notes did say 6/5/2025. 6/10/2025, I called Maribelle left a voice mail with the Case#, Phone# and a request for a time thee inspector would be arriving. 6/11/2025 Rose called a left a voice mail saying I was on the calendar for 6/12/2025 and the inspector would text me a time frame. 6/12/2025, @ 0844 Received a text for an ETA of 1300-1500 @1221 Received a text for an ETA of 1330 @ 1326 The inspector, PAVEL, arrived. He took pictures, pulled the 1/4 round off behind the tv and attempted to make an adjustment-no change. He attempted to pull the transition piece between the front foyer and the breakfast are and he was unable to remove it. Was vague about the cause (broken English with an accent) and that he would write up his recommendations for the rework crew and he would have them prioritize it. He told me that APRIL was the service manager. He left at 1400. 6/19/2025, Called the Express Flooring service number and JAY said there had been no follow-up and that the original case number had been closed, since it was for the "investigation" for inspection only. He opened up a new case number for the repairs. 6/25/2025, I called MARIBELLE and left a voice message I called PAVEL and left a voice message Called the Express Flooring service number and MERCEDES said she would forward the issue to the installation team. 6/30/2025, Called the Express Flooring service number and KATEY answered but the call dropped. Called the Express Flooring service number and VAL answered. I asked to be connected to APRIL and he stated that she left at 1600. 7/3/2025, Called the Express Flooring service number and KATEY attempted to transfer me to APRIL and she was not available. She said she would send a message to het for escalation. 7/9/2025, April called me and said she had the following dates for crew to come out: 7/11 or any date from 7/14 to 7/18/2025. We agreed on Monday 7/14/2025 and they will test me a time window on 7/14. 7/14/2025, Text received @0721 ETA was 1400-1600. @1616 the first flooring tech arrived @1619 the second flooring tech arrived I showed them the issues of the gaps, the transitions, the tub issues etc. They completed the work, all gaps were now resolved, the transitions were solid with no gaps, the bathroom tub floor gap was gone. There were no newly induced gaps or issues. The crew cleaned up their work debris and left at 1846. I signed no documentation acknowledging the work. 8/28/2025, Finally writing this review to ensure the issues did not return. So far so good. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. The after sales culture is toxic, and that comes from the TOP. read more

DO WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY!!! Bait and switch! They came out a week ago, the work was scheduled to start on a Friday but then called the day before the demo to tell me the tile I selected was not available. They came in and offered a tile that was smaller and not even comparable to tile I selected. I did financing through them and I'm still trying to get my deposit back! These people are horrendous to work with. They installed the wrong flooring and insisted that it is the one that I ordered even after I provided photo proof that it's not. The installer broke furniture that shouldn't have even been touched. They messed with the foundation in areas that they should not have causing a problem with my cabinets being installed. They lie and lie and lie and do nothing to make customers satisfied. If you know the term blowing smoke up a customers behind, you understand how this company works. They take no responsibility for anything. I've spent close to 2 months trying to get this resolved and I'm still getting nowhere. I've dealt with people hanging up on me talking down to me and belittling my opinion or concerns. Give your money to any other company. The installers told me they would be by Friday to finish the job. I waited literally until 2pm before calling the company. NO ONE reached out to let me know whether they were coming or not. As a single parent who works 2 jobs my days off are never my days off. They are used to run necessary errands. I was so upset because they literally wasted my entire day only to be told "oh sorry" I would've been fine with a "hey sorry we aren't coming today" ok awesome but to literally stand me up! Not cool and not professional! Then I was told by the presentation guy that they take so many pictures of the floor etc. literally one picture was taken and I told the installer hey I'm going through an issue with my HOA when you pull up the floor here let me know. Nope! And one lousy picture was taken that I can't even use in court. Then I asked about the popping noise when walking they said it was ok. I was like well my floor didn't pop before but ok sure if you say it's fine. Super let down for the amount I financed. If you live in San Diego area find a different company. read more

If I could give a zero, I would. The install was done improperly, the LVP is coming up all over and they will not reinstall properly. I have spent weeks on the phone with them and am told it will be replaced and they show and and do nothing. The inspector came out took dozens of photos and even pulled a piece up and it broke, he just put in back down. Submitted a false report that it just needed to be weighted down when he knew they needed to be reglued. The floor was not cleaned before the new floor was put down and the glue did not stick. I have spent more time than necessary to get this resolved. We were told it would be taken up and re installed and then this morning they showed up to weight it down.
