My mother and I stopped in for the night as we were to attend a wedding the next day. They greeted us when we arrived, showed us around and left us to our night. In the morning breakfast was cooked to order and when I say it was perfect, oh my! And I am the breakfast police lol! The place was very clean, quiet, well maintained and just decorated so very well!!! The couple that owned the place were perfect, nice, more than accommodating, sweet, warm and most of all competent-- they weren't overbearing. It was my first B&B stay, so I had my reservations of course but the BAR IS SET!!! If I'm ever in Palestine again, this is where you'll be able to find me & I really wish my family had just booked the entire B&B, that would have been SO spectacular!! My interaction with the staff is always pleasant and they go out of their way to make sure I am happy, whether it is accommodating a room location request, extra towels or replacing lost room key. The hosts were able to hold a small block of rooms for me during a recent stay with family coming in from all over Texas. And have offered to help secure rooms in other cities as I was traveling to other locations.

I told the concierge I couldn't do it and cancel my hotel. She said she would still charge me for a night or put me in a smaller room for the same rate. Wow! I said smaller room, higher floor, and a manager in the morning since she was not on the property. Get to my room on 3rd floor and miraculously it was the same size room I first requested on the highest floor. Hmmm. I'll post a pic and let you all decide why I was told the lie in the first place. Free breakfast was from 6-9am. Pet friendly. At the time of stay - $25 per pet per night - up to two dogs. They have a pool, but of course we didn't use it, it's December. Spaces were clean, that's all I ask for in a budget hotel.

The front desk clerk was very friendly and gave me my military discount, making the room exactly the same price as the nightmare place down the street. No problems here! The room is basic (as one would expect), but comfortable...and did I mention, clean?! One of the things I liked best was not having carpet in the room. With flooring you know what's the n the floor...not so with icky, old carpet. It was a bit noisy several times in the night (mostly cars and people in the parking lot). However, a pleasant enough place to stay overnight while on the road.

Asking why I waited all day to complain? Possibly the issue of an job being done all day and not being into the trash motel they own? Trash service, trash concierge, trash ownership, 10/10 maintenance man. ETA: the motel had refunded me my funds to remove their photo of the actual trash service concierge. Than proceeded to go back on the agreement we had made at the last minute, they do not stand on their word and as Americans we live by our word. I would not recommend this motel unless you are fully in a bind. The "housekeeping" also was knocking to clean the room way before check out time.
