Doing laundry at Express is a breeze. There are plenty of washers and dryers and long tables to fold your clothes. I have not had any issues at all with any of the machines, and the attendants are warm, friendly and helpful. They also use a laundry card system which is great and the system also offers bonuses depending on how much $ you put on the card. Another plus for me is that they open at 6 a.m.!!! The WORST laundromat service EVER!!!! I am a full time student and full time worker. I have 0 days off and I had called in to ask if I could come in to do my laundry straight after work and the worker there named Paula said I could come in. I called in at 6:37pm. I rushed there with my laundry and when I got there, she immediately stops me and with a loud tone goes NO NO NO!!! And wouldn't let me wash at all. And the store was closing in an hour and a half. I told her " I promise I will be quick, I will finish before the closing time and I won't even fold my clothes, I'll take the clothes home all crumbled up". She kept saying "NO NO NO NO" like we never had that phone call and where she agreed I could come in. I finally got upset by this situation because I had called her ahead. And she accused me of calling her before 6:30pm! I told her I called you at 6:37pm and you said it was alright to come in. And she said no you called before 6:30pm. I showed her my phone tht I had called at 6:37pm and if she had said no I wouldn't have come to the laundromat with the whole load walking 6-7 blocks with it. I asked for the owners phone number and wouldn't give me at all and kept said NO NO NO. I didn't leave I waited until she gave me a number. She finally gave me a number saying it was her boss but it was one of her coworkers number and they were speaking in Spanish on speaker which was very rude because I didn't understand what she was telling her! I used to always come in to this laundromat and it was always pleasant before they changed their staff. The previous workers before her were very understanding and friendly. I never had such an experience before. I am never coming to this laundromat ever again. I am forever boycotting it and telling all my friends and family NEVER AGAIN!!! I am still in shock with the treatment I got today. She treated me like we never had that phone call and accused me of calling her before the time I ACTUALLY called and made me look like a liar in front of the customer in the laundromat. But it didn't help at all because when I spoke to her she made it seem like she was going to let me wash my clothes and we needed our call after she said "let me call her and speak with her" and when they spoke in Spanish she listened to her side of the story and once again Paula's NO got even louder "NO NO NO". I've given this place a bunch of chances. But I always have a machine issue. Either the washing machines don't fill with water properly and I have to wash a load again or the dryers don't dry... and a load or two of laundry that should take two hours - takes about 3-4 hours. I appreciate that the staff will readily pay for the need for another wash or dry and not question it. But having reliable machines would be better. I am giving 4 stars with the potential for them to upgrade this to 5. In general, this is one of the best laundromats hands down. Their whole team is very friendly, from the ladies working the desk, to the owner, to the delivery and pick up guys. I've been using them for over 5 yrs. even when I moved a few blocks down from my old apartment on ditmars and 47th, I still used them for their wash and pick up service as my clothes came out smelling great and maintains their original condition. My only complaint is that they don't have evening hours for drop/off pick up, which kind of confuses me, as most working professionals choose to use a pickup/drop off service as their hours don't allow them to do laundry. Oh dear. I don't know how this place is as far as just regular laundry goes but I will never be bringing my dry cleaning here again. The first time I went they gave me back someone else's dress. Because they don't seem to return clothes with individual tags on them (I have never gotten clothes returned with tags), I don't know how they intended to return it to the proper owner. The second time I went the way they cleaned my white blouse caused the black buttons to bleed all over it. I'm not even sure how that happened, but it was very upsetting. The third time I went only a few days later (before I discovered the button and blouse incident) there was a small stain on the collar of my shirt I needed removed. When i got the blouse back, the stain was still there and there were more stains on the rest of my blouse as well. I brought back both shirts in the morning and luckily the manager was there and I complained. He said that they would try to fix both blouses and if not then he would pay me for them and return the blouses. Luckily for him they were able to clean them both and he wasn't out $100+ but still I don't trust them anymore. When someone has 3 hours to waste before meeting friends for dinner what can one do and the answer is do your laundry or else wear your underwear inside out. Express laundromat has self service or drop off service but I don't mind sitting inside soaking up the free WiFi while my clothes are washing for 35 minutes and soak up more free WiFi while my clothes are drying for 30 minutes . A coin exchange machine changes bills into coins and for less then 5 bucks you will get clean fresh underwears and your bath towels will be warm and clean which means you don't have to use paper towels to dry off when you exit the shower . The washer and dryers are heavy duty commerical quality and the folks who work here keep the place clean and they limit the amount of people inside when it gets too crowded with folks . Glad I had the time to do my laundry cause it's cheaper then doing the drop off way and it's much quicker as well. 4 STARS for express laundromat on DITMARS blvd . read more

It's located very close to my apartment, it's clean and reasonably priced. The staff is always friendly and helpful and all the washing machines and dryers are in a good condition. I have been using this laundromat for a few weeks now and I'm very pleased. My clothes are always folded nicely and smell magnificent. Their delivery and pick up times are unbeatable! I usually wait 20 minutes tops. I could not be happier then I am. Now that I have found them. My old laundry service would take hours to deliver my laundry sometimes not until 11pm which was not very convenient for me. I don't really come here often unless its for dry cleaning a suit. I decided to be adventerous and drop off my laundry because I had no time 2 weekends ago. I pick it up a day later and everything was nicely folded. When I get home 2 of my shirts are ruined from either bleach or clorox. 1 was a t-shirt and the other 1 was an Express blue polo. I came back the next day and spoke to the young lady at the counter and she took back both of the shirts and attached my information to them and told me "The Boss" will be contacting me soon. I left and its almost a week later and I have not had a single phone call yet. I called 3 days ago to follow up and the lady at the counter said he's too busy now he'll call you when he's free. I'm sorry my ruined shirts are not important enough for you to have the decency to call me back and at least be courtious enough to pay me for my shirts that your employees ruined. I mean, its laundry 101, you don't put bleach or any color removing chemical into the laundry when you are washing colors. He called me back today and told me it was my fault and that I leaned on bleach and I must've accidently bleached my clothes and then dropped it off to the laundrymat. Owner did not accept responsibility and insisted that I sabotaged my brand new Express polo. He also gave the scenario that I brought in a wet bag of clothes...... Who in their right mind brings in a wet bag of clothes? Like are you saying I threw my laundry bag in a pool of bleach? The money is not so much the case here, but the principle. I was a first time customer relying on good service and it was delivered with damaged clothes and the owner refuses to admit it. My bad experience is everyone else's warning. Come at your own risk and don't be surprised later when your clothes are ruined. You get what you pay for, you pay cheap you get cheap results I learned that now. Back in December i wrote a very bed review on the place but since then the owner Elias reached out to me and fix the problem i had in no time, i m back to send my loundry there and i m very happy , my clothe are clean smell great and since i use their pick up and delivery service it is always on time never failed, ocationaly i would do some loundry my self, the place is clean like a pharmacy most workers are friendly and alwayd are willing to help, i can say now that the place is highly recommended and give it 5+ stars. Every time I send my clothes to get wash I'm always missing items especially my favorite sweater which I'm infuriated. The place is clean, and the staff is polite but the quality of the wash is average, but I'm more concern of losing items every time I get my clothes clean. I average about 50 to 60 dollars every two weeks for laundry which adds up to 1,200 to 1,400 dollars, but I'm going to give other laundromats a try since I see the repetitive track of missing clothes. read more

i am giving 2 stars because the clothes are nicely done and always smell very nice. HOWEVER, the customer service is terrible !!!!. I was going there for around three months, couple of times they missed the time they supposed to have my clothes ready which was very uncomfortable as i needed my clothes on the day that i was told they will be ready. However, its a business and mistakes happen, but at least apologize and loose that smirk on your face like you are doing me a favor by washing my clothes. After all that i came back to them and decided to give them another chance. What a mistake!!! I dropped my clothes on Saturday morning and i specifically asked the girl if the clothes will be ready the next day, she said yes and printed a ticket with the prize and the pick up time on Sunday, everything was nice till i went on Sunday to pick up the clothes. The clothes were not ready on time and the girl told me that they will be ready on Monday which was unacceptable. When i asked for explanation they tried to convince me that they did not tell me my clothes will be ready on Sunday and that they don't go by what the ticket says. How stupid can that be, if you don't go by the ticket, don't print the ticked and do not confuse your customers by giving them false pick up dates. Anyway, as i said mistakes happen but three times is too much. The girls working there especially the ones on the register were rude , and as i described above they were giving me the feelingl that they were doing me a favor by washing my clothes.
