I am not a repeat customer, but quality has been on the decline at this shop. I found today how much they do not appreciate repeat customers. I drove over 30 minutes one way at 4:30pm so I could get there by 5pm and allow them an hour to just look at the leak I have and tell me if they can help me. Not help me today to fix it, but see if they are capable of doing the job so I know if I should go to a transmission shop instead. I didn't want to get there right before they close, as a courtesy to the workers wanting to go home at 6pm. My courtesy was repaid with a "Come back tomorrow" even though every bay was empty except one bay. They have 8-10 bays. Come back tomorrow? But I took the time and gas and risk during rush hour to get here today. And did so with consideration to you, yet you have no consideration for me. I can't get there earlier and had to leave work early to get there today. I didn't want a repair. i needed someone to put my car on a lift so we can see what is causing the leak, or where it is coming from. make a decision on a repair and schedule it in later. Or find out if they can do a repair on it so I know to look for a shop who can fix it. My point is, I was turned away when I needed them and 30 minutes of their time. I made a review here 12/27/2017 and it appears the honeymoon is over. If they turn away a repeat customer how will they treat a new customer. When I'm turned away like that it just confirms I need to find a new shop. Yep, you pushed me away. read more

Express Lube a 2500 N. Main is one of the best kept secrets in Baytown. From the time you walk through the door your are met with a warm caring smile from the receptionist Karen. She is amazing, great customer service always sets the tone for me when dealing with a business. I explained my problems with my vehicle and right away she called Kevin the shop manager to talk to me about my concerns. I explained to him that I took my truck to another shop prior to coming to Express Lube and Inspections and they made the problem worse. Kevin reassured me that they would have me back on the road in no time. He is very knowledgeable and explained everything they would be doing and gave me the pricing upfront. Kevin informed me that they also offer a military discount, so recommend this place to all that have served. With in a few hours they diagnosed the problem with my vehicle and gave me the options of what need to be done. One thing they suggested that I needed to replace my air filter. The significance of this is that I had already planned on changing it and purchased it prior to bringing my truck to the shop. I declined the service and told Kevin that I would change out myself, I have one on the back seat. When I returned to pick up my truck Kevin had his mechanics to change out for me at no extra charge since they were doing the work anyway. I am really impressed with all the mechanics at this location. I did not get to meet the owner Moe, but from the climate of this location you can tell he is a great person to work for. Thomas and Zeke are two of the other mechanics that I met here and they both very friendly. You can tell they love what the are doing by just watching them as they work. There is definitely a since of pride in their work. I am a native of Baytown and I have passed by this place a million times but never gave it a second look because of the name Express Lube and Inspection. Many of these places like this have been known for ripping people off. I read the reviews on Yelp and decided to give them a chance and I am very happy that I did. I recommend if you have a problems with your vehicle you stop and see Karen, she will take good care of you. Her team of Moe, Kevin, Thomas and Zeke will make sure you are well taken care of at a fair price. read more

My 2011 F-150 wouldn't start. I had it towed to Express Lube and spoke to Doug. I told him that I suspected the fuel pump was bad. He assured me that he would diagnose the issue and let me know. A few hours later, he called me to let me know that the fuel pump was fine. My spark plugs were the issue. They easily could have told me that my fuel pump was bad and I would have bought a new one. Luckily for me, Doug and the rest of the crew at Express Lube are honest and knowledgeable. After replacing the spark plugs, my truck was running again. However, the computer was still showing that my fuel mixture was too rich. Doug told me that it could possibly be bad fuel injectors. if that was the case, I was looking at a hefty repair bill should I choose to fix it. When I went to pick up the truck, Doug told me that he found the real issue of the rich fuel mixture. An air valve had gone bad and was stuck open; and that was causing the computer to pump more fuel into the engine than was necessary, and replacement was on it's way. It only took a few minutes for the part to arrive and Doug to have it installed. That cheap and easy replacement part did the trick and my truck is running better than it has in all of it's 185k miles. I believe a good mechanic is worth his weight gold. If you're worried about getting taken advantage of or getting ripped off by a mechanic, definitely bring your car to Express Lube. I can't recommend it enough. read more

3 months over a $1200.00 parts and labor not to mention time spent and tow trucks. Vehicle will still not start randomly. All these people can do is change parts. They kept my vehicle for almost 3 weeks to try and get it to happen to them. Mo the owner said he was going to drive it personally I think he drove it one day to 2 places other than that it would sit and they would try to start it once or twice a day and of course it never happened to them. 3rd time to drive since getting it back im stuck in Deer Park because vehicle wont start looks like another tow but it wont be going back there read more
