My husband had his reservations about ordering something so expensive online, so we ended up going to a local jeweler. The local jeweler said they would be able to make the same ring for a similar price, so we considered it. However, when I went home to inspect our quote, I noticed that the aquamarine would be an imitation stone. After some light research, I learned that imitation stones can be made of plastic. At that point, I honestly felt deceived, because the jeweler didn't take the time to educate my husband and I on what we would be potentially buying.
