I stopped here with a $20 coupon to get my 1994 Jeep Wrangler smogged. The coupon says light duty. My Jeep is light duty. The guy said since my Jeep was older and didn't have an OBD II port it would cost $67. Really? What a joke! I agree it takes a little more work to smog it but that's robbery. The best part is he said, " well it says that right on the coupon". Haha. Not it doesn't. It says light duty. It doesn't specify a year range for the coupon price. Annual smog and registration renewal and Express Smog is A-OK with me... I pulled in on a hot Sunday afternoon and the neon open sign was lit. I waited for 2 minutes but no one came out. I knocked on the door and I heard a voice shouted for me to swing by the open area of the building. The attendant came out and seemed a little agitated because I interrupted him. I probably interrupted his sleep, netflix or something. He was actually pretty quick with the smog and getting my registration renewed as well. This will be my new spot for my annual smog. The man here is friendly and efficient. Express Smog is tucked in the corner of the Walmart Neighborhood Market by Qdoba. There were plenty of empty spots to wait in for my turn. The whole process was less than five minutes. I had received a coupon to get my smog for $17.95 and then it was another $1 to use a credit card. It was a quick, easy process. The employee here was friendly and didn't act like it was a hassle to do his job. This is the main reason this spot will be my pick over where I have been going for years. read more

This is a tiny little hut in the parking lot, there's a singular parking space next to the door, where you pull up to receive service from the one person working. It's fast and efficient. If you're looking for a spot for a fast smog check, this is definitely your spot. They are super efficient and awesome. Only thing I would say is that they do get to be a bit more poppin around the afternoon. I had to wait a few cars ahead and it was a bit confusing knowing who was next, but the attendant paid very close attention and was able to figure out who was after who, which made the process a lot easier. I ended up having to wait about 10-15 minutes with a few cars ahead of me, but it wasn't bad at all. You don't even really have to get out of your car if you are waiting. I came in a panic, as I learned that I somehow missed my registration... by SIX MONTHS! What even is that? Normally, I am so on it, so I'm still not totally sure how I missed it at all. But I had no fear, as Express Smog took care of everything for me. They charge a slight fee for credit card usage and then charged a slight fee to send in my registration, but they did everything for me so I didn't have to head home to jump on my computer and hope that I was able to process my registration with the DMV before I forgot again. It was a great one-stop-shop! I definitely recommend this spot for sure if you are needing a quick and easy smog check. read more

Pulled up to what appeared to be a long wait but figured, I've got time, why not? So I waited for him to finish with the current car and proceeded to walk up to inquire and pay to get my spot in the queue (since the cars are parked in front of another business, I was confirming...you know, because it's in a parking lot in front of a number of businesses). I used to come every year. Not only it is a different guy now, he is rude and has attitude problem from the get go. Sign says open but door was closed. There was a back in 15 mins sign but seems it is there all the time. When he finally shown up, asked me to repark my car exactly to align to his markings with an attitude. When the service was done and presented him the coupon(the only reason I come to this place), he claimed that it is not valid because I was supposed to show him the coupon in the beginning before he rendered the service!? this place used to be good . they have more then doubled how much they charge and took away the veteran discount . in November 2023 I paid 32$ . retuned today and the guy claimed there is no veteran discount and offered to have me pay 76$ I was utterly insulted , laughed and left . Decided to try this place because of coupons and good reviews. But I arrived at 2:30 on a Friday afternoon and it was all closed down. There was a sign that said be back in 15, and it looked like it had been there for awhile, but I waited 20 minutes and others came and left. There was a car with an open window next to stand so I thought that it belonged to the employee. I even knocked and used a quick horn noise to wake up anyone who might be inside but no response. 5 stars for being located right in front of the DMV and for how quick my smog check was. 5 minutes and done. Then why the 3 stars? I park next to the little building and didn't see anyone. I thought the employee might have been getting coffee since it was early morning when I arrived. After a couple minutes if waiting, the bf looked inside and saw that he was just inside sitting down. He didn't hear me pull in or say "is no one here?" That was annoying. You don't keep a customer waiting for your own personal time. Then, while my bf was getting his smog done, the employee's wife pulls in to give him his lunch. Super sweet, but then they started making out like they were alone. Seeing older people make out is not attractive nor is it professional. Anyway, I got my smog check and I'm glad I don't have to worry about it until next year. P.S. I went to get my smog test and renew my registration simultaneously Saturday. The man working there did not greet me when I parked. I waited several moments before he finally began checking my vehicle (never speaking or asking how he could help). Had that happened, he would have known I wanted to do BOTH my smog check and registration renewal. However he began performing my smog check and at the end tells me how much it is. I then told him I would like to renew my registration as well. He dismissively informed me that he was unable to do so until Monday and insisted that he still be paid for the half job he did. That's neither here nor there. He DID perform the smog check service after all so I paid the man. The most upsetting part about this entire annoyingly waste of my time transaction was the poor attempt of a "compliment" he made. This particular day I was wearing my large bamboo earrings with the popular black fist art engraved in the circle. The man proceeds to say "nice earrings, I know you just got those". Mind you, I purchased these earrings years ago in Brazil and wore them this day because they perfectly matched the belt on my dress. However, this senseless man decided that since the world is currently in the midst of protesting for the black lives matter movement, that recently I decided to go out and get these earrings. I am purely disgusted at his blatant ignorance and half-assed attempt at a compliment. And although extremely convenient, I will not return. read more

I went to this place because I had a rush to do my smog check and they opened the earliest and were closest to the DMV. They did perform the smog check so I'm giving them two stars for that. However the service was pretty awful from start to finish. The guy was a few minutes late coming out, which was important because I was trying to get over to the DMV in time before they opened. When he came out, the test didn't take long, but when it came to pay even though they are supposed to take competitors coupons the guy laughed when I showed him a $5 off and didn't take it. Pretty rude if you ask me. He reluctantly took $2 off On top of that I FAILED the smog test (on a 2016 car go figure). The guy was not helpful at all as to why I failed and still charged me the full price of the smog test. He offered me no incentive to come back to recheck again. And as other reviews mentioned they charge a $1 premium for debit/credit transactions so I'd rather go some place I won't be penalized for using a CC. With so many smog places I recommend you take your car elsewhere unless you absolutely need something close to a DMV read more
