I checked out the programs available very carefully and so glad I chose Express Training and the Oceanside facility. It's rare that anybody gets all 5 stars on Yelp and there is a good reason. This place was my saving grace to get my BLS/CPR card! I chose to do the hybrid/fast track option. It took about an hour and a half for the online class and then a few days later, after completing the online portion, went in person for the hands on skills portion. This was super convenient, especially being in a pandemic. Class sizes were small and we were still able to simulate different situations while still maintaining social distancing. Our instructor, Zack was super informative and made sure everyone was comfortable and stress free. I took a Basic Life Support (BLS) class here because I needed the card to be able to enroll in a college course. I was able to submit my card the same day with my college so I was able to enroll in my CNA course. Patrick was the one who taught my BLS class and he was awesome! Express training solutions made my BLS class fun and easy to understand. Daryl did an awesome job keeping me engaged during the lecture. Practicing with the manikins was a lot of fun and they had lights that helped you know if you were doing the compressions correctly. I've taken other classes where the manikins didn't tell you if the compressions were hard enough or if you were going fast enough. I've taken other CPR classes and this one is the best so far. What a great class! I enrolled in the BLS class (Basic Life Support) because the non health care profession cpr class was a different date and time I could not make. I was a little apprehensive as I have never taken a cpr class but it went by fast and very detailed! Daryl was a great instructor and really communicated with us and made light hearted jokes throughout class! The test at the end was easy and Daryl really made a point to let you know what was important to remember. Another thing I loved, is that Daryl offered the class to come back for free training if you wanted more practice. As long as a class he is teaching has room he said we could come back. That is such an awesome gesture! Love ETS!!! Mostly because of the convenience of setting up the class you want online. They have a location off the 8 in SD if you are in a crunch and can't make the limited dates of Oceanside location. I don't have any complaints about the instructors. They are thorough and reasonable with your time. They are open to any questions even if you think it seems dumb. Make sure to study some prior to the class so you have a good grasp of the material going in. Everyone will lead an exercise during the ACLS and PALS which can cause some to be nervous but don't be. You don't have to know everything by heart and it's over in a short period. read more

My career requires me to renew my CPR/BLS cert every two years. These classes tend to be pretty dry and boring. I really appreciated Daryl's approach to the class. I took this class today for BLS provider. I needed to complete this course for my medical assisting course. Daryl was very welcoming when I came in. He is friendly and offered snacks and beverages.
