I chose Dr. Partin because she practices both eastern/western medicine and is a holistic vet. One of my dogs (Lexie) has pain in her hip and legs due to arthritis and was refusing to walk or get up often. After seeing Dr. Partin, Lexie is smiling and running/playing again. We are so thankful we found Dr. Partin. Today, I had to visit Hickory Flat again for my other dog, Lillie. I asked for whoever was available today since I will be out of town for a week and wanted to make sure Lillie was okay before I left. I'm glad they could fit us in last minute and I ended up seeing Dr. Lindner. Dr. Lindner is very sweet! The vets and vet techs here are all great. Super helpful and they listen to your concerns without feeling rushed. However... The first few times, I didn't have an issue, but today, I had a very rude lady check me out. Short blonde hair, round face. Long story short, I had medicine that Lexie couldn't use because she had a bad reaction to it so the vet said I could bring it back next time for account credit. Before I went to the vet today, I called to confirm if it was okay to use Lexie's credit for Lillie's visit. The receptionist on the phone said it wasn't a problem and that I could do so. Well, today while checking out, there was a short blonde haired, round lady that gave me attitude about it and while I was still talking (mentioning that it was in the patient's notes), she left to get up to talk to the people in the back. I wasn't even done talking! So Rude. Not once did she say, "Let me check or give me one second". She literally just stomped off to the back and then stomped back to the front, gave me the credit and told me the amount I owed. No smiling, no apology, nothing. Just a straight face. There was no need to be rude. The lack of communication skills was super unprofessional. Again, I've never had issues with the other staff members before. Just this one particular person at the front desk.

She was eight years old and was diagnosed with Diabetes. I did everything I could for her, but in the end I had to have her euthanized. Dr. Rob explained the procedure and said that after the initial injection she wouldn't recognize me, or anything else. He said she would feel a sting with the first injection, but that's not what happened.She screamed bloody murder and lunged at Dr. Rob, and the tech. They quickly left the room. He also told me that once he gave her the shot she would know me or anything. After he left she stood up and looked at me. What should have been a peaceful death turned into a nightmare. She was terrified and looked to me for help, but all I could do is comfort her. About twenty minutes Dr. Rob came in and said, "It looks like she needs another shot". Twenty minutes that Maggie had to suffer. After a few minutes she laid down facing me. Her blue eye was spinning in circles. That did me in. Then Dr. Rob walked in to give her the final shot. I wanted to scream at him for what he did to my girl. He never apologized. It was business as usual. I went home and cried my eyes out. I felt so ashamed of myself for bringing her there. A week later I ran into a woman who was a retired veterinarian from a different practice. She was shopping at Publix with a friend who took her dog to East Cherokee Veterinarian Clinic. Both of them were shocked when I told them my story, especially the one who takes her dog to that clinic. I hope no other dog or cat has to suffer like Maggie did. I found another veterinarian clinic to take my other dog to. So far so good. I really like everyone that works there, and it's not so hectic when you walk in the door. The Vet gave Bosco a complete exam and said she would email the results. I needed a vet who was compassionate and understood what I was going through. Not some selfish, self-centered man who couldn't care less! He was just going through the motions.

I had passed by Kent Veterinary Clinic multiple times since I live in the area and I liked the reviews when I searched it up, so I thought it would be a good one to try out. Fortunately, they did not disappoint. I requested the appointment online and received an email the next day with a suggested appointment within my preferred day and time range. I accepted the appointment and received another email asking to either send or bring my dog's records, which I sent in a reply to that email. I appreciate vets that have an online portal, which Kent Veterinary Clinic has, and I liked how easy it was to schedule this appointment. Once I brought my girl in, everyone was really nice. There is a clear superhero theme throughout, which might border slightly on overkill but was also kind of cute. My dog is a bit of a scaredy cat but they were patient and gentle with her, which I definitely appreciated. It is obvious that everyone there genuinely cares about the pets in their care. I felt confident that everyone on staff has the best interest of the animals at heart and that they know what they are doing. I will be moving all of my babies to this vet from now on and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great, caring vet.

A friend from Roswell highly recommended their vet, so I decided to make the 40-minute drive to Marietta--and I'm so glad I did! I ended up paying around $500, which included blood work and X-rays. KentVet not only had the best price, but they also had immediate availability. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the whole process.
