I continued to bring my pets there to keep up continuity. Dr. Friedrichs was my vet of choice, after Dr. Partin's retirement. Although he didn't have the extra credentials of Dr. Partin, he was great. Unfortunately, the last time I made an appointment for routine wellness check, when I arrived, was seen by a substitute vet. Apparently Dr. Friedrichs was no longer at HFAH. The substitute was friendly and professional and the dog liked her, however I was disappointed. They also have no Saturday hours, which doesn't affect me, as I am retired. I guess it's just what it is, but I finally made the decision to leave HFAH and find a different veterinary practice.

Only East Cherokee seemed concerned and squeezed me in. We saw Dr. Sunday who was so kind, compassionate, and caring. Even my cat liked her ;) Dr. Sunday was so helpful and didn't rush us out of there but patiently answered all our questions. The staff called the next day to check on how the cat was doing. She was eight years old and was diagnosed with Diabetes. I did everything I could for her, but in the end I had to have her euthanized. Dr. Rob explained the procedure and said that after the initial injection she wouldn't recognize me, or anything else. He said she would feel a sting with the first injection, but that's not what happened.She screamed bloody murder and lunged at Dr. Rob, and the tech. They quickly left the room. He also told me that once he gave her the shot she would know me or anything. After he left she stood up and looked at me. What should have been a peaceful death turned into a nightmare. She was terrified and looked to me for help, but all I could do is comfort her. About twenty minutes Dr. Rob came in and said, "It looks like she needs another shot". Twenty minutes that Maggie had to suffer. After a few minutes she laid down facing me. Her blue eye was spinning in circles. That did me in. Then Dr. Rob walked in to give her the final shot. I wanted to scream at him for what he did to my girl. He never apologized. It was business as usual. I went home and cried my eyes out. I felt so ashamed of myself for bringing her there. A week later I ran into a woman who was a retired veterinarian from a different practice. She was shopping at Publix with a friend who took her dog to East Cherokee Veterinarian Clinic. Both of them were shocked when I told them my story, especially the one who takes her dog to that clinic. I hope no other dog or cat has to suffer like Maggie did. I found another veterinarian clinic to take my other dog to. So far so good. I really like everyone that works there, and it's not so hectic when you walk in the door. The Vet gave Bosco a complete exam and said she would email the results. I needed a vet who was compassionate and understood what I was going through. Not some selfish, self-centered man who couldn't care less! He was just going through the motions.

I I could not afford to pay an excessive amount due to recent costly medical treatments of my own! Treatments that max stood right by me through every single day! After many many quotes Dr Scott's office said the cost would be $200 plus tax, which was fair given the number of quotes we received. My friend raised money to help max and we were quoted from $168 (Free home) to $400 just for the euthanasia! So I knew what to expect and felt confident the $200 quote given to me by Cassie was fair! Well I was scammed by this office with a bait and switch! The quote Cassie gave me to put max down was out the door and Dr Scott refused to honor it! He stood arguing with me there while my dog was in the other room and I was a mess having the weight of putting down my best friend! I am sick to my stomach that I brought my baby here to this greedy Vet who could care less about Max or myself! I paid this office but just know Iwill be on the news about this! With recovery we were able to enjoy time with our girl for 5 more years. We owe so much to Dr M. I read the few 1 star reviews and think they are extremely unfair. Both reviews start saying that the doctors are "great" and "amazing" but they have an issue with the front desk or cost of meds. Where are these people's 5 star reviews of these doctors they call amazing and great? They are quick to throw out 1 star for other reasons but don't have the time of day to appreciate these vets.

He saw my 12 yr old blind foster pit, Vlad that is having trouble breathing. He was wonderful. And actually took it serious. This is the third vet Vlad has seen for this because I have to take him where the rescue wants. And the others were a waste of time. But today I took him where I take my babies and I'm glad I did. I highly recommend them. You can't go wrong. They listen, take their time with you, and everyone is the sweetest.
