I did the jet ski during labor day weekend. It was super fun!! This location is about 10 miles from Myrtle Beach. Our trip was about 7 people and a leader/guide. We started in the inner sea, followed our leader, and drove out to the open ocean. It was a good practice to drive a little in the calmer inner sea for a bit, but at the same time that took away the time we could be riding in the ocean. The trip was an hour for about $120 including tax. Each jet ski can hold up to 2 people. Be prepare to fall into the sea. Leave all your belongings in your car. We dropped a pair of expensive sunglasses when we fell:( It was a hell lots of fun though. I will definitely do it again. read more

1. Location--easy to find building. It has signs for SCUBA all over. There is a small pool in the front of the building (near the road) where people can experience "Discover SCUBA." 2. Staff--When I first called this place, I didn't expect them to answer the phone because it was about 7pm. I only called to see if I could leave a message. However, I was surprised when they picked up the phone. They were very helpful and extremely friendly. A+ for customer service. 3. Gear selection and equipment servicing--From what I saw, they sell aluminum 80's, wetsuits, fins, booties, etc. The staff is very helpful and they are affiliated with PADI. 4. Dive boat charter--the boat staff was very friendly. I've been on numerous dive boats and I enjoy how they operate: 1) Arrive at 8 in the morning to sign your waivers. 2) Pick up any rental equipment/tanks that you might need. 3) Load up your equipment on their truck. 4) Walk across the street and wait till they load the boat with the tanks and gear. 5) Pick a spot on the boat. 6) Listen to the safety brief and you are on your way. 7) Prior to arrival to dive site, gear up. 8) Dive, Dive! Overall: There are people that drive 4 hours just to dive with Express Watersports, which says a lot about the helpfulness and reliability of their staff! Dive with these guys! On 3/24/2016 my wife and I did parasailing with 2 PM group. It was a lovely experience but we have a small concern. We took the photography package. However things did not went very well with that. To start off, photographer took a few pictures of some other party when it was our turn to go up as per the pre decided order. The other party was nice enough to point this to the photographer when he asked them to comp up to the harness. So he asked us to come up to the harness instead but neither did he changed the memory card in the camera nor did he took our starting photos sitting in the boat as he did with the other groups. As a result we do not have the starting photos for ourselves but also we have a few photos of the other party which we do not need. Since there is no definitive guideline on the site what is covered in photography package I believe the good natured cameraman was a bit lacking in professionalism. Just going by what others got and we did not I feel that we have lost out on some good close up photographs. So I would recommend them for business but beware they may be nice but not very professional and may need some help from you to do things right, read more

Took a group of 12 to waterski. Our ranger took us out the inlet and let us ski for an hour. Everyone had a blast. Brand new skis are fast - faster than you need to go!! People behind the desk were very attentive and quick to get us thru the paperwork. They hold your car keys for you so no need to rent an additional locker. I leave one star because well I got to experience it. things got ugly when the ride was over though. for starters, the jet skis were not very fast and everyone had to be single file (boring!!!) We weren't allowed to take our phones so we have no proof of the experience. The reason why is because they want you to pay $20 for the pic they took before heading out. We didn't even get to the ocean before we turned around which was my main disappointment. 3/4 of us had to turn back and trade out our jet skis which was taken out of our hour. we got maybe 15-20 minutes max out on that river. when heading back I was debating on asking for compensation for the experience did not meet our expectations then the lady tried to hit us with a $50 fee because we got beached and said we could have damaged the jet ski. the vibe went from fun experience to renting a car. Response from the owner Thank you for your review, Taylor! To begin, the jet skis are new 2018 Yamaha VX Deluxe, and they are set to low mode for rental which is a max speed of about 35-40mph. Our rangers take you out to the riding area in single file because there are sand bars, no wake zones, and oyster beds (which you still managed to get beached on from lack of listening to the ranger) that unless you are familiar with the area, you would not know about. Once in the riding area, you may go within the parameters the rangers give you, which is about a 1 mile radius. The reason we do not allow phones is not to get you to buy the photo (a company that subcontracts under us, so the money does not go to us). We do not let you take cell phones because many people have an issue with texting, snap chatting, and instagramming while they are on the jet skis; this could injure yourself and/or someone else. The reason it took your group so long to get out to the riding area was because you were not listening to your ranger. As for having to come back and swap a ski, yes we had to do that since something had gotten sucked into the intake grate. Since that deems your jet ski unusable for the trip, our ranger brought you back to get a new one. The reason you were told there was a $50 fee for your jet ski trip is because you beached it on an oyster bed. This causes damage to the bottom of the ski, and the ranger had to stop the whole trip to tow you off. The list of damage fees is included in the waiver that you signed prior to getting on the jet ski. The jet ski rides are a fun and exciting activity for many people who come here! When they are not used properly or carefully, injuries and damages can occur and that is something we always try to prevent! Thank you as you can see the owner saw my google review and showed more interest in pointing the finger than showing empathy on the fact that we were not happy with the experience they had offered us with. I replied, In response to the owner: Rather than being quick to argue and tell your customers they lacked to listen, keep in mind that I stated 3 out of the 4 skiers had ran into an issue. So is it that "we" were not listening or was the ranger not being clear? The ranger notified us to start out slow and how to avoid causing this and that, this is true. HOWEVER, as first timers and tourists, (which all parties announced may I add) we were not advised of quite a few things which was stated when we came back to the docks. You then try to educate me on the type of skis you have by stating the brand and year as if that is going to persuade me that I was going fast. Regardless my opinion of the speed still remains the same so that was a pointless argument there. "Once in the riding area, you may go within the parameters the rangers give you, which is about a 1 mile radius." You must have missed the part when I said we were told to stay single file huh? So the entire ride! We were single file! He even told us we didn't go as far out as we were supposed to. So I'm not sure if you're trying to say we went the distance we were supposed to, but if you are, I can assure you we got the confirmation that we didn't. In closing, (my ski personally) as directed we followed the ranger while the others were already out well, because we were last to leave the dock. How we got beached? I don't know I wasn't the driver. But either way, the experience still didn't meet our expectations, we didn't leave with the same vibe as we did when we entered, and this condescending response sure doesn't do you or the experience any justice either. Boat was basic and seating was uncomfortable and awkward. Always looking behind, my neck hurt by the end. Couldn't understand what was being said over speaker as it was garbled. Very crowded waterway so no surprise that we didn't see any wildlife. No dolphins, turtles or even birds. Just expensive houses and boats. Next time, I will go back out of Isle of Palms. read more

So by reading the rules on their website it looks like I can rent a jet ski for my 16 year old to drive. Nope. Don't even try it. They don't let you drive unless you're 18. When I pointed out their rules listed online I was told my son could drive if I was his passenger. Nowhere on their site does it even hint at that. Of course they offered to "work with me". So here's what they offered: sign a damage waver, leave my driver's license, my credit card and my son's driver's license in a locked box at their counter. Translation is forget grabbing a snack or going shopping nearby while your mature responsible 16 year old son is having fun. I realize there are immature 16s who might not be able to handle the equipment. I have absolutely no issue signing a waver. I have no issue leaving a deposit. NOBODY holds my ID and credit card hostage. That is totally unreasonable. So "working with me" means making it so incredibly difficult that I walk away. Went on the dolphin cruise last week. The whole experience was fun and the captain and asst was very nice and informative. We did not see anything at all no dolphins or any sea life. It would have been nice to have another trip or partial refund like other cruises do offer. I know its oceanlife and can not be guaranteed, just a little disappointing. read more

Rented Jet Ski's here while on vacay in Myrtle Beach last week. My husband was reluctant because it was a 30 minute drive from our resort. Let say, it was well worth the drive. The staff is very friendly and professional over the phone and in person. The ski's are literally brand new and totally awesome. We did the 1hr. For $99, again well worth it. Our ranger took us approximately 15 minutes away from the inlet and gave us a huge area to have fun. Not sure if it was the time of day (11:00 on Tuesday) or if this is normal practice but we were the only people in the area except for the occasional boat that passed nearby, but still not directly in our vicinity. The only reason I am not giving this place 5 stars is for the following reasons 1-the paperwork is too extensive and should be made available on line, so that customers can fill it out on-line and sign the printed hard copy upon arrival. 2-the life vests really grossed me out. They are really dirty and smelly. I understand they are constantly wet and there's that usual smell that a life vest may have when used a lot but these were not a good look or feel. read more

Scheduled a dive with them as we were visiting the area. Here are the highlights; 1) Large parking area for over sized cars/trucks/motorhomes. 2) Boat is across the street from store, short walk with gear. 3) Full boat with students at various levels. Kept it organized. One stop 2 tank dive. Would have liked to have moved for second dive but location had tug boat/airplane/barge to explore. 4) I have all my gear only rented 2 tanks (air) and the tanks were pretty old...but functioned. I did call multiple times because I forgot my DIN to YOKE adapter (I run DIN for caverns) and that message got lost in the mix but the did come up with one quickly. Pretty much the only boat in Murrells Inlet, SC. I would not hesitate to dive again with this crew. read more

We took the sunset tour this past weekend, and we were beyond impressed!! The online reservation process was very simple; the staff was knowledgeable and helpful; and the drinks and snacks were perfect. The water was a little rough that day due to storms in the area, but the boat ride was very smooth. We took many amazing photos of the sunset and surrounding areas. Great folks and an enjoyable experience. For a simple scuba trip or for certification, these folks know what they're doing. The dive sites themselves are the best SC has to offer, which isn't saying much, but they definitely make the best of it. If you're going to get a certification, ask for Reed when you call to set it up. Good guy and very knowledgeable instructor. As far as the boat and the crew- they do a very good job of getting you there and back safely. The Boat Captain is a surly blonde headed guy who sticks to details. Regardless, great trip and I hope to do it again soon. read more

Recently enjoyed a relaxing sunset cruise with these guys. The cruise is a hr long. While cruising you can enjoy unlimited wine &/or rum punch, cheese &/or fruit from platter (compliments of drunken jacks restaurant) & see some breathtaking views. The crew was very attentive in keeping the refills coming & helpful (offered to take pics of any/all passengers trying to take selfies ). Only wish they had a logo cup/glass/mug to serve drinks in & as souvenir (as previously taken sunset sails/cruises elsewhere have had) included with each ticket ($30/ea adult). All in all, it is something to check into if you enjoy a little relaxing on water in the early evening hrs & enjoy watching sunsets. read more

We loved the cruise! It was a beautiful night to be out on the water. Looking at the houses on the shore was a treat. We enjoyed the rum punch, wine and fruit and cheese. The skipper and the were great! The only drawback is that we were the last ones to board and there weren't any spots in the back. We had to sit in a covered section, so we couldn't see very well. Part of our party went on the upper deck, but there wasn't room for all of us. read more

We enjoyed Express Watersports two days during our trip. Wednesday we enjoyed a leisurely float when we rented kayaks. We came back on Thursday when we rented one of their pontoon boats. They gave great on board instructions and a map with suggestions on where to beach to swim. Only thing I was disappointed in - by no fault of their own, but the ocean is only a three mile ride away from the marina and is off limits.
