I had a frustrating experience at this urgent care. I spent about two hours there, including time for imaging, but the process felt disorganized and inefficient. When I finally met with PA Nova, I explained that I was concerned about a possible ear infection. Based on my background in pharmacy school, I mentioned that my symptoms felt consistent with an ear infection, but my concerns were attributed to allergies and I was advised to use allergy medication. Unfortunately, the allergy medication did not relieve my ear pain, and my symptoms continued to worsen over the next two days. Because I was still experiencing significant discomfort without improvement, I decided to seek a second opinion at another urgent care. At that visit, the provider evaluated me, diagnosed an ear infection, and prescribed appropriate treatment. I was also informed that my tympanic membrane had ruptured, which was very concerning given the level of discomfort I had been experiencing. I understand that symptoms can sometimes overlap between conditions, but this experience was disappointing considering the time, cost, and prolonged discomfort involved. I felt that my concerns were not fully addressed during the initial visit, and the delay in receiving appropriate treatment led to additional stress and unnecessary suffering. Based on my experience, I would consider seeking care from a different provider in the future. read more

I went to Express Care, located at 2400 Cylburn Avenue. after experiencing a fall that resulted in an injury affecting my ability to walk. After paying my copay in cash, I was informed that I would need to place a credit card on file in order to continue receiving care. I declined to provide a credit card, and as a result, I was discharged and denied medical treatment for refusing to place a credit card on file. No explanation was provided for the requirement to have a credit card on file. Instead, I was asked if I had secondary insurance. The medical personnel who initially assisted me was helpful and attentive, showing care and consideration for my limitations. read more

I checked in promptly and was brought back from the waiting room without delay. I explained that I had a very sore throat, difficulty swallowing, swollen lymph nodes, fatigue, a low-grade fever, and had recently been in contact with two coworkers who tested POSITIVE for strep. Despite this, I was only prescribed Claritin and a nasal spray. The next day, feeling worse and now running a fever, I went to Fast Med Urgent Care for a second opinion. The nurse practitioner was warm, attentive, and took the time to listen to my concerns. Their NP performed a rapid strep test, and it turned POSITIVE instantly. I was promptly prescribed Amoxicillin and Motrin, and within 24 hours, my symptoms dramatically improved--no more fever or painful swallowing. Ironically, Express Care called today to tell me my strep cultures were "normal." I appreciate the kindness of the staff, but I'm very concerned that a clear case of strep was missed, delaying appropriate treatment and potentially exposing others. read more

I went in with complaints of fever, bodyaches, and chills and congested cough. They immediately did a flu and Covid test. When the physician assistant came in to see me, she said it had to be viral. There's nothing they could do for me. She did not attempt to even listen to my lungs, look in my throat, etc.. How can you go to the doctor and they not even do a basic assessment? Hi , this hospital seems very understaffed and the doctors don't really care or know anything . one of the doctors let my baby fall off the exam bed . I was pissed he just sat there and watched her . While I went to reach for the information he asked for. He completely neglected my child . And than act like he did nothing wrong . I won't be taking her back here ever again . It is not easy to face people who are not at their best and understandably under stress, yet they take care of us all - all the time. If I could give them ZERO stars I would. The service was trash , the staff rushed me; the doctor (Cary) didn't give a fuck about actually tryna help, she was talking faster than her brain was even movin literally. And at the end of it all, I got a lame diagnosis with no remedy for the situation and still had to pay for that. The other reviews might be old but i just came from there 6/28/2019 and the place was awful. It's health clowns like you guys that have people dying out here simply because you don't have regard for most people. If you don't want to help people heal and get well, find a new profession cause i might as well went to see a bag of rocks instead of you. Puuurrreeee bull. People, please...I know I'm highly upset and really going in right now but it is because I wasn't treated with much of anything, let alone respect. They were really horrible. It's ironic this place advertises with a slogan of "Why Wait in the ER?" because the real question should be, why would you wait HERE either? But you will certainly wait. Forever. Their information online and on various covid tearing directories implies that you can walk in for a covid test but that's not correct. Appointment only. Ok, so I made an appointment, and I am now sitting here in the waiting room for 1 hour so far, past my appointment time. They sent me a text a few hours ago telling me they are running 65 minutes behind... except that you aren't allowed to show up 65 mins later. You have to show up on time anyway, otherwise they will cancel you, so the text telling you about your real appointment time is actually completely useless in terms of saving me wasted hours. I needed a rapid covid test at the last second and the options are limited...so I am sticking it out. But I hate it here, even before being seen, and I'm pretty sure the experience when I actually am seen will also suck, based on the constant stream of unsatisfied people that I have observed coming in and out of the waiting area. I made an appointment online for Covid rapid test, and they texted that they were behind and the appointment was moved from 3 to 4:15. That's awesome they gave me a 2 hour heads up. Not knowing what to expect, I arrived 10 mins early. Went in at my appointment time, was given ppwk to fill out and wait in my car for their phone call. Once I finished with the ppwk, they called and I was in waiting from 4:30pm to 6:30pm in the waiting room to be called back. I felt a little strange being in the waiting room for so long, but thankfully there were only a few other rogue people waiting. Once they called me back a nice nurse asked 5 questions and then another nurse came in to give me a finger prick and nasal swab. The PA came in to ask more questions and then came back 15 mins later with results. Aside from the 2 hour wait, I would say the overall process was fine. I was posting here so that people knew what to expect as no one told me. Do not go in thinking this entire process will take 15 mins. It takes from beginning to end 2-3 hours. The PA and nurses were all super nice, and I appreciated them all being out in the elements to give me my negative test results. read more

Came here to get tested and check my health and was told to leave if I'm feeling ill. But it's a hospital. So there's fucking that...

I have been here in the past and it was relatively speedy, courteous, and helpful. However, today, August 8, they rolled out their rapid response Covid-19 testing, and it was an absolute disaster! They were not clear about whether people should make appointments or not. They open at 10 (although they never updated their website to state this) and I was told that people arrived long before that and started lining up. I got there at 10:24 AM. The line outside barely moved, and we waited in the heat for hours and hours. With no foreknowledge of what I was getting into, I brought neither sunscreen nor water. I got severely sunburned, and was very thirsty. Eventually, around 2:40, almost 5 hours after opening, they told everyone in line to go inside to sign in, and provide their phone numbers, so they could go back to their cars to be called when they were ready. They should have done this from the outset. They also shouldn't have said that walk-ins are welcome, when they couldn't accommodate them. They also provided contradictory information about whether people with appointments needed to wait in line, or whether they could wait in their cars. Inside, a lot of people were crammed together risking transmission of coronavirus. There was only one bottle of hand sanitizer inside, and it was not an auto-dispenser, or even a pump top. Instead you had to pick up the bottle and shake out the sanitizer, further risking transmission. There was no partition for the desk, so the virus could transmit from patients to staff and back. After finally signing in, I still had to wait in my car for hours. I often called to find out what was going on, but they often didn't pick up, or put me on hold indefinitely. They also told me I was next, which was evidently completely false. When they were finally ready for me, they called my wife, instead of me, even though I input my phone number when I signed in, and they called me on that number earlier. At last I got in, and waited for them to take my vitals. I told them I didn't need my vitals, I just wanted a test, but they insisted on taking my vitals anyway. Taking everyone's vitals unnecessarily probably contributed to the disastrous wait-time. At last at 8:17 PM I got tested. 9 hours and 53 minutes after first arriving. I arrived 24 minutes after they opened and got tested 17 minutes after they officially closed. I would strongly caution anyone against coming here for any reason while they continue their Covid testing, without evidence that they have radically changed their procedures. read more

i was at expresscare urgent center at sinai hosp in baltimore, on 12/16/2021 at 9am the two receptionist were very patient and helpful as i tried to register on the new system. it was very confusing. i want thank them again so much for thier professionalism and help to us seniors. please assign someone to help the people to register, that are not so computer savvy. read more

Six hours...three hours wait just to check in. PA-C Kutsishvili does not even know that fever is one of the symptoms of food poisoning. That is basic knowledge and terrifying that a PA would not know that. She had plenty of time to do a google search in the time we were there. The CDC page is the first thing that pops up.
